    Bro you should have start with GR86 after MX5 then onto GT4 before going to GT3. Then you wont feel the shock in term of difference. And GR86 and GT4 has way better racing

      i love the gr86 series.. soo much fun. and i agree wit you.. im a B liscense and i have yet to race any GTP cars.. i race miata, gr86, 296, and will soon be doing multiclass with caddy GTP. respect the car, never never push on the first lap or two..

      That's a fair point...I got carried away!
      Although, after driving the GT3 I'm now intrigued to try and it figure out...! It's probably not a good idea but I want to give myself 2 weeks to see if I can get up to speed with the car. If I don't, then I will take a step back and try my luck with the GR86.

      @@Achillefsgiannisis i’m enjoying the GR86 now. I also try GT4 but the tracks are mostly paid so hardly joined much race. GR86 got both buttkicker and production sim lab which both using GR86. You have better chance to have free track race every weekend.

      @@frafzn6745 Yeah good point...Having to pay for every track is not something I want to do.
      Regardless of what I do with the GT3's I could definitely try the out GR86 for some diversity! It sounds fun!

    I personally havent tried the ferarri series. I know gr86 is a good transition but the main issue is front engine vs rear engine tbh. Rear engine cars require a ton more trail braking and you have to really learn what that means. Try the porsche in the gt4 series then move to the ferarri gt3.

    The thing about GT3 is that every car behaves differently. The Ferrari needs to break earlier to not over stress the tyre but you also need to moderate more your throttle. To be fast you need to accelerate while still turning and for that you need to learn how much the electronics allow you to accelerate before they take over. Getting to the point where TC activates while accelerating or the ABS activates while braking only makes you slower.

      @Achillefsgiannisis  Месяц назад

      Thanks for the advice!! I don't really have a feel for when the ABS kicks in, yet. I also made a basic mistake and was clipping my force feedback with the settings I had. So I was missing a lot of detail.
      I also want to play around with brake bias...I feel like the car is too understeery on entry with the default settings and I need to decrease it from 49.1% to 47.8%. But my concern is that maybe I'm OVERstressing the Rear by doing that (Good rotation on entry, but overheated tires on exit...maybe..?). I need more exposure to these settings to be sure.

    In a FIXED set up race like he describes in his video you are not able to change TC or ABS. It is fixed set up. I would say the first thing i would learn is the track. I see your pushing in the laps but i also see a lot of counter control. Turn in, straight, turn in more etc etc. I would highly recommend watching a guide to the track you want to race then set your goal at say 5-6 seconds off the pace but CLEAN laps. Then when you have done that and are doing that consistantly watch a replay of the faster guys and see where their pushing more and you are not. Rinse and repeat. Keep up the good work, you will get to better races soon.
    I also think that going to the GR86 would of been a nice stepping stone rather than just jumping into the fast cars straight away. I went MX5, GR86, LMP3. The reason i went LMP3 is that there is no ABS so you have to learn to brake properly.
    Anyway, good luck. Have Fun. That is what is all about.

      Thanks for the tips!! I have watched some track guides but haven't looked at my laps compared to the faster drivers yet. I will need to do that in order to see what they are doing and I'm not.
      Yeah I skipped the GR86 completely thinking it would be the same as the MX-5. But I see that a lot of people are suggesting me to try the GR86 first before going to the GT3's so I should probably do that. I do, however, want to give myself a little bit of time to see if MAYBE I could get the hang of the GT3. I'll give myself 2 weeks.

    A lot of this is because you are using iracing. You can't overdrive in iracing really at all, therefore you have to slowly memorizing the limit because the tire model doesn't allow you to overdrive. Most other sims are much better at this, yet iracing has great marketing...

    • @Achillefsgiannisis
      @Achillefsgiannisis  Месяц назад

      Yeah, on the one hand you learn precision with your pedal & steering inputs, but on the other hand, it gets REALLY frustrating to find that "perfect" input.
      But overall I don't think it's that bad. From my experience, the braking in iRacing is pretty accurate compared to real life...Although the counterpoint would be that each car is a little different, so just because I have had SOME experience, it doesn't mean that all cars behave the same!

      @@Achillefsgiannisisin my experience of racing spec Miata’s, the braking feels extremely accurate, well that is except for the weird over rotation / sudden loss of grip when releasing the brake definitely feels exaggerated.
      But I would fully agree with the statement abt the tire model… my father who drive gt3 cup cars can also attest the tires feel like velveeta cheese…
      They overheat way too easily and the slip angle is far too limited and unforgiving…
      I’ve been in a few scenarios irl where I’ve been completely sideways and saved the car even off line / off the track lol… in iracing I feel like I completely lose control when even just going 2/3mph over the ideal apex speed….
      I have no confidence in the car and I can say from experience all the driver irl slightly over drive the car, but when I use this technique in iracing I barely keep it on track…
      I was pretty good in the Miata’s too, I was no where near the best but I could run top 10 and fight for podiums at a regional level (so 1 step down from the imsa series, so technically I’d probably be able to run a bit above average in the cup series)

    I'd learn abs and tc and then just throw that car into a corner and let the electronics do all the work, rotation in this car is easiest at early breaking where a lots of its mass is kinda in between so you have that little window to let it focus onto rotation but be aware that doing that a bit too much with track unevenes can cause a spin, love gt3 but these cars just get boring after few years

      It's a fixed setup series, so I cant's really play around with TC or ABS. I do find early braking to work pretty well with the car thought..! I will also experiment with different brake bias's since that is the only control you can actually change in the fixed series!!
