what unit are you in ? i reclassed to infantry and im going to 82nd (1-325 AIR) i wanna use my plate carrier but idk what its like being in an infantry unit yet and how they act with gear lol
Josh Harrison not in the 82nd anymore and haven’t been in over 3 years. But when I was there, we couldn’t use any over own stuff. So I’d say expect not to be able to. Fingers crossed!
Cole Gillespie you should make a RUclips video about the unit because I would definitely be interested in a unit that’s enjoyable and let’s you wear reasonable stuff.
@@qbrpluqsy9009 it’s not a LRS unit anymore, it’s a standard Airborne Infantry line company now, but the culture has largely remained the same. If you subscribe, I’ll get the video up this week! Just for you! Haha
How did you paint your mags and helmet with that stencil print. I’ve always wanted to know how people get those ACHs with that weird print on them and how you even do it.
How much optional gear can you use? I know this seems like a dumb question but I'm wondering how you have so much 3rd party gear. Are you able to buy anything that is approved or meets certain standards? (im new and 11x leaving soon just curios)
David Estell if you’re about to leave for Basic then just be prepared to use ALL standard issue everything. The vast majority of conventional Infantry units require you to use issued gear. The benefits of being in more specialized units is being able to get away with wearing more of what you want to wear. My unit more or less doesn’t care what we wear, given a certain time and place where we aren’t directly around really high ranking leadership. But yes, if you do find yourself in one of those units, we go off of ballistic ratings for aftermarket helmets and aftermarket plate carriers have to be able to carry issued plates. So the protection rating would be the same, but the gear is different. Sorry for the long response. Good luck! Way to be Infantry.
Hey man, thanks for uploading your kit. I'm currently overseas and would love to pick some of this stuff up. Could you post some links in the description? Thanks!
lol well I’m not an operator. Just in a unit cool enough to encourage guys to wear whatever they want. And I’m willing to invest money into high quality stuff for comfort, efficiency, and yeah, looking cool.lol. So I dig it. Thanks!

What unit are you in right now or when you were making this because I don’t know how they would let you use that good of a helmet
An Airborne LRS unit. Pretty much can use whatever we want

RiListyle yes, my unit got an extension as a LRS element for a few years but we are currently transitioning to standard line infantry. Unfortunately.
