Hi thanks for great instructional video. What size gasket have you used?

Thanks for the thumbs up and question. The gasket inside hole is about 3/8 inch, hard and shiny. Otherwise, it is just refered to as a gear case gasket for your engine size and type. Maybe someone else out there can be more technical and specific. Cheers

I have a question,, when you buy a brand new Suzuki outboard is the gear oil already in it? My assumption is that it is since its a relatively closed system but please let me know if I’m wrong.-- thanks.

Thanks for the question. From my experience, when I purchased the outboard new from Sherwood Marine, I had them also do the installation.
So I do not know if the Suzuki outboard ships with gear oil in it or if the installer puts the gear oil in it. I do know its easy to change. Thanks for watching.

What is the reason you feel it from the bottom instead of the top?

I am no expert, but i believe it could be to make sure that all the air leaves. Thanks for the question!

    Hello
it takes 610ml as manual says??

    • @CMATS

Pumping 60 to 63 times to get it to dribble out the top screw hole is how i measured the amount. I don't know the milliliters for gear oil.

Everything went well, but I did find a ball bearing the size of a large BB in the oil, we’ll see if it works now! Thanks for the video
