I’m curious to see how high your motor is mounted on the transom, and if you have lower bolts holding onto the motor. I got the same boat, motor, and prop getting ready to be mounted. The lower bolt holes look like they would dig into the lower part of the splash-well. Seems like most people say it should be two holes up, but yours looks like it’s one hole up. Doesn’t seem many people have our same set up so just trying to get a general idea before drilling holes.

Morning, there was an old Yamaha 90hp on the boat before I owned it. So we were able to use 3 holes. The last bolt we drilled into the transom and sealed it up tight. The motor sits about 1.5 inches above the transom. Never had an issue for the last 6 yrs. I have pics if you send me your email. Thanks for watching the video and a thumbs up.

    I have 2019 DF60A , the propeller size : 11 5/8 x 12 . At WOT the engine rpm reaches 6500 then start cutting out , I need a bigger size prop, so what dia & pitch I should put ?

      Hey Mazen,
I am not a professional. But here is the prop that works for my boat:
      11 3/8 D × 14 P
I have a Montauk Boston Whaler 17ft. My WOT is 5800rpm approx 28 knots. In the manual, rpms should not be over 6200...alarms should go off. Maybe 2019 is different? All the best finding the correct prop. The Gilligan

@@CMATS Thanks, actually I searched on google and found out that each 1" increase in the pitch approximately reduces 200 rpm .
      I am thinking of getting 11 5/8 x 16

    What were the results???

    • @CMATS

Results were the prop was too "HOT" and made engine rev over 6000rpm 1st time out, then cupped the prop a little and all is grand! Thanks for asking.

Please NEVER use pliers on hardware such as nuts!

Tommy T, upgraded my tools to include a torque wrench and socket! Thanks for the comment. Pliers still used on the pin that get inserted through the nuts...
