"I will honour his legacy" this is what Thrawn said to Vader about Anakin. He maybe never harm Ahsoka and keep his word, as it was early said by Anakin Ahsoka was part of his legacy. If Filoni created a situation where Thrawn spares her and gets defeated for that, that will be genius, and Thrawn's arc will cycle as perfect!

I love how Thrawn teases Vader in that book, making it quite clear he knows Vader is Anakin, but never quite saying it out loud.
Vader and Thrawn are like 2 sides of an opposing coin.
One swings first, asks questions later, no matter how much collateral damage said swings do.
The other asks questions first in hopes to avoid having to swing (or minimize the number of swings needed) in order to keep the collateral to a minimum.
It’s something I’ve always “known” but didn’t put together until recently.
I believe the blue aliens you've shown, played by the Lucas family, are not Chis but Panteran which Chis are commonly mistaken for. The Panterans have the blue skin but lack the distinct red eyes of the Chis. They are also prevalently considered lesser beings, with the exception of Thrawn, due to them being wild/outer space beings and would not have been directly in the republic and later empire controlled Coruscant. I LOVE Thrawns character. I also like Vaders but Thrawn is just amazing in everything he does. I'm a huge Thrawn fan and I'm so happy that we got to see him in live action in Ahsoka.

I will remain optimistic, but I honestly don't think we will be fortunate enough to see more flashbacks of this kind. But I don't rule it out completely, and will be most pleasantly surprised and rejoice should we actually get this!

I really really hope we get more story progression in the final episode of Ahsoka. I'm also a huge fan of Baylan and am very curious as to what he's seeking. It would also be really cool if we see a live action Dathomir.
Well, we've seen Dathomir in other ways, and overall, there's not much to Dathomir we haven't already seen.

1:42 What? There were no cyborg creatures in Thrawn: Alliances. The only thing close to it is the bio weapon the Darshi used. Did a check through my book to confirm and nope! The mission was all about Cortosis Ore being embeded into the Clone Trooper Armor. Anakin believed it to be a separatist plot to infiltrate the republic disguising droids as clones. Thrawn also stole a Shield Generator to replicate for the Chiss Acendancy. Then the Imperial side led to the discovery of the Grysk Hegemony looking to invade move into Empire space. Last few vids have been a little off, what's up?

Let’s hope that this is actually expounded upon in the show and not completely disregarded (as unfortunately most of what is in the books has been so far).

Most people forget that most of what happended in the clone wars era part of Alliances actually takes place on a planet called Mokivj (a planet near Batuu)
I wonder if Vader would have killed Thrawn regardless of his usefulness to the empire if Thrawn had outright stated to Vader directly that he knew Vader was Anakin the whole time? Or would Vader have let it go and trusted Thrawn to keep the secret under the threat of death?
Thrawn was important to the Empire, and very good at his job, but at the end of the day, I don’t think Vader found him all that essential. Also this is Vader we’re talking about. This guy goes through officers like pringles.
I believe Palpatine gave Vader explicit orders not to kill Thrawn or Tarkin, they’re too important in the Empire and in the hierarchy they’re all pretty much the same rank and serve equally important tasks. Tarkin governs the Empire, Thrawn leads it’s forces, and Vader is the enforcer of Palpatine which enables the Emperor to focus on his research.
Well, the way Vader and Tarkin talked to each other regarding Obi Wan etc in New Hope, it was obvious Tarkin knew he was Anakin, and Vader was cool with it. So I'd imagine if Vader and Thrawn had a conversation about it, the scenario would be similar--but of course, Thrawn would be smart enough to lay out how it doesn't really matter to him, and he won't dwell on it any further.
@Hard_Boiled_Entertainment , Given the reality you've laid out, I do wonder exactly how Thrawn might believe he could use that knowledge to his advantage in strategizing the pursuit of his agenda (s)? I don't see how it could be employed as a card to either influence or blackmail Vader, let alone the Emperor.

I served under the command of Vice Admiral, then Admiral and finally Grand Admiral Thrawn in "TIE FIGHTER SIMULATOR", and we did lots of missions escorting Darth Vader and later the Emperor himself. Of course they knew each other

Its implied that vader knows or atleast thinks Thrawn knows. Its not just vaders respect for Thrawn but also that the Emperor basically put Thrawn off limits.

This is awesome! But I don’t see them going so deep in the show. We have just one episode left and a lot for them to do to give us a decent finale. Looks like Thrawn just cares about getting out of the galaxy and most likely at the very end we will see what they are fleeing from.

Man, that makes sense. It would be amazing to watch that in live action. I haven't read the books, so when I first heard the idea of Thrawn asking Great Mothers to somehow bring "a vader" to weaken Ahsoka's emotional resilience seemed too random, but I didn't know he had that huge connection to Anakin like that. So if the book never fully confirmed he knew he was Anakin, if he did that in the Ahsoka show for knowing Anakin trained her, that would be confirmed through inference.
The only reason I find this a bit hard to happen is that they would have to put a flashback of Thrawn and Anakin working together and again suggesting or confirming Thrawn knew Anakin was Vader. Because people who do not know they have this story could think it's very random. It has to be well cooked, specially because to me Vader is a "sacred" character that must ALWAYS be presented as great possible, because his image must be preserve from fatigue. So I consider risky, but I think it's possible to do it the right way.

What if we see a re-casted Baylon in the finale? The “power” he’s looking for could be Abeloth or a spin of her. She could restore Baylon’s youth allowing for a re-cast. It would definitely be difficult to film quickly but it could be a simple 3 minute scene to set up Season 2 and being in the finale they could cut it in while the season aired to get it ready. Crazy thought!

It could be he was knighted and made a general after she left, and he was still a padawan until then.
There were a lot of Jedies, some more popular than other.. everybody knew Anakin Skywalker, but that doesn't mean everybody knows everybody.. you can't really meet all the people around you and even if you do, you won't remember all of them.

Great video but the book actually started during the empire and the anakin thrawn and padme story was peppered in between kind of like a memory of sorts but it did end a little over halfway through the book.
I think your assessment is not only spot on but it is better writing and conceptions than the show's produced thus far.
I'd love nothing more than to see more Hayden and Darth, but not certain the show will produce this concept in the one and final episode.

What is the deal with Sabine and Ezra's conversation about what happened after he left? It seems like Filoni does not care or is not good with consistency. Sabine tells Ezra that some think the Emperor is dead? Sabine was trained by Ahsoka. Ahsoka talked with Luke and either of them talked about Vader being redeemed and saving Luke from the Emperor by throwing him down the shaft? Why wouldn't they? And why wouldn't Sabine be told by Ahsoka that the Emperor is dead? Why would everyone in the Galaxy not believe the Emperor is dead? Filoni is throwing this in the face of all OT fans that hate the Sequels that they are not going away and here is a reminder.

Generals are more noticeable than lower ranked officers. Like, if I asked you to a name some generals from WWII I bet most people could name at least one. But how many could name a colonel or major?
If thrawn and anakin met up right before the empire, then Ahsoka was gone by then and mostly flew under the radar, especially during order 66. Plus, anakin, and other generals like him, such as Baylan, Kenobi, Vos, etc. held more of the spotlight, especially during the clone wars. I’d say that Vos and Baylan were probably on the same level, like A tier Jedi, while Kenobi, Anakin, Yoda, Mace etc. were S tier, at least when it came to being known by others outside of the Jedi order.

Dude! Vader's helmet is SO well polished in the opening scene of ROTJ. When he is walking with Palpatine, look how sharply it shines compared to the first 2 films. Its says 1 of 2 things...A. He has not been in battle in a desperate search for Luke and the Falcon. Has been on the ship for the entire timeframe or basically off planet.
B. He polished up like a military officer for a superior. He knew the emperor was arriving. I need to rewatch to see if it is more dull or dusty prior when he says Palpatine is displeased with lack of progress

Thrawn literally coached Vader when they had to collaborate together on that mission together.
I would like to see a scene between Thrawn and Obi-Wan, because I feel like their personalities are very similar. Obi-Wan was always the strategist to Anakin's tactician, like Thrawn was in Alliances. I always thought that was part of the reason Anakin attached himself to Thrawn so quickly - he recognized a similarity to Obi-Wan. Also, the fact that Obi-Wan was just as much of a master to Ahsoka as Anakin was - as seen over and over again in the Clone Wars and the Ahsoka book - I think that Thrawn will underestimate this side of her (think she's all Anakin) and this will give her an advantage in the end.
