Mary Jane Girls were protogees of Rick James, who wrote all the songs. This is from their second album. Their best known tracks are "All Night Long" and "In MY House". Lead singer was Joanne McDuffie, who had been a backing vocalist for James. Not my favourite of theirs but the vocals are great and the harmonies, there's heartache and longing expressed, good tune.
