  • Accidentally published this without a description at first. Let's fix that.
Here's the scoop: Chandler Reese Irby was ultimately charged with speeding (more than 15 mph over the speed limit), reckless driving, driving without headlights at night, improper lane change, failure to stop or yield, and felony fleeing with substantial danger of death. The case was bound over to circuit court, where charges were filed for felony fleeing. On May 24, 2022, Irby entered a plea of guilty to the charge. Irby was sentenced to three years of reporting probation, plus a fine of $1,000, 600 hours of community service, and four days in jail (with credit for four days served), with the possibility of having his record expunged upon successful completion.
On July 25, 2021, Irby was arrested on suspicion of felony aggravated assault, and was ultimately charged with first degree misdemeanor assault, which has a potential penalty of one day to one year in county jail, and a fine of up to $2,500. On October 25, 2022, Irby was sentenced to 12 months probation, after entering a negotiated plea of no contest to the charge. Additional conditions included 40 hours community service, a requirement that Irby get his GED, a forfeiture of certain seized property, and a $128 assessment. A description of the assault incident is included in a pinned comment below.
A revocation of probation hearing in Irby's fleeing case is currently scheduled for November 7, 2022.

Accidentally published this without a description at first. Time to fix that...
Here's the scoop: Chandler Reese Irby was ultimately charged with speeding (more than 15 mph over the speed limit - ha), reckless driving, driving without headlights at night, improper lane change, failure to stop or yield, and felony fleeing with substantial danger of death. The case against Irby was bound over to circuit court, where he was charged with felony fleeing. On May 24, 2022, Irby pleaded guilty to the charge. Irby was sentenced to three years of reporting probation, a fine of $1,000, 600 hours of community service, and four days in jail (with credit for four days served), with the possibility of having his record expunged upon successful completion.
    However...
On July 25, 2021, Irby was arrested on suspicion of felony aggravated assault, and was ultimately charged with first degree misdemeanor assault, which has a potential penalty of one day to one year in county jail, and a fine of up to $2,500. On October 25, 2022, Irby was sentenced to 12 months probation, after entering a negotiated plea of no contest to the assault charge. Additional conditions of Irby's plea included 40 hours community service, a requirement that Irby get his GED, forfeiture of Irby's firearm, and a $128 assessment.
Details regarding the assault case follow, from the affidavit of Detective Keith Banks, lightly edited for clarity and to remove victim information:
On July 25, 2021, at approximately 1653, Officer Deondre Goodwin was dispatched to [an address] in reference to a disturbance. Upon his arrival, Officer Goodwin made contact with Jamarcus Galloway. Mr. Galloway stated that he and his friend, Chandler Irby, were chased by a female driving a gold Chevy Malibu. Mr. Galloway stated that the driver of the vehicle hit the back of Mr. Irby vehicle then fled the scene. The female stated that Irby had shot at her vehicle while he was chasing her. She stated she was Mr. Galloway's girlfriend and that they had an altercation over a cell phone. She stated that she went to Galloway's home, took the phone and left. The female stated that she was later driving to her aunt's house, that Galloway and Irby both chased her, and that at one point, Irby shot at her. Irby stated to Officer Goodwin that he shot at the ground because the female had rammed the back of his vehicle, as she was trying to fight Galloway. Irby was detained without incident and was transported to the Pine Bluff Police Department. Irby's mother turned over Irby's handgun. Irby was read his Miranda Rights; he acknowledged that he understood his rights, and invoked his right to counsel.
A revocation of probation hearing in Irby's fleeing case is currently scheduled for November 7, 2022. Also known as "soon."
