Here's the scoop: Chandler Reese Irby was ultimately charged with speeding (more than 15 mph over the speed limit), reckless driving, driving without headlights at night, improper lane change, failure to stop or yield, and felony fleeing with substantial danger of death. The case was bound over to circuit court, where charges were filed for felony fleeing. On May 24, 2022, Irby entered a plea of guilty to the charge. Irby was sentenced to three years of reporting probation, plus a fine of $1,000, 600 hours of community service, and four days in jail (with credit for four days served), with the possibility of having his record expunged upon successful completion.
On July 25, 2021, Irby was arrested on suspicion of felony aggravated assault, and was ultimately charged with first degree misdemeanor assault, which has a potential penalty of one day to one year in county jail, and a fine of up to $2,500. On October 25, 2022, Irby was sentenced to 12 months probation, after entering a negotiated plea of no contest to the charge. Additional conditions included 40 hours community service, a requirement that Irby get his GED, a forfeiture of certain seized property, and a $128 assessment. A description of the assault incident is included in a pinned comment below.
A revocation of probation hearing in Irby's fleeing case is currently scheduled for November 7, 2022.

Accidentally published this without a description at first. Time to fix that...
Here's the scoop: Chandler Reese Irby was ultimately charged with speeding (more than 15 mph over the speed limit - ha), reckless driving, driving without headlights at night, improper lane change, failure to stop or yield, and felony fleeing with substantial danger of death. The case against Irby was bound over to circuit court, where he was charged with felony fleeing. On May 24, 2022, Irby pleaded guilty to the charge. Irby was sentenced to three years of reporting probation, a fine of $1,000, 600 hours of community service, and four days in jail (with credit for four days served), with the possibility of having his record expunged upon successful completion.
However...
On July 25, 2021, Irby was arrested on suspicion of felony aggravated assault, and was ultimately charged with first degree misdemeanor assault, which has a potential penalty of one day to one year in county jail, and a fine of up to $2,500. On October 25, 2022, Irby was sentenced to 12 months probation, after entering a negotiated plea of no contest to the assault charge. Additional conditions of Irby's plea included 40 hours community service, a requirement that Irby get his GED, forfeiture of Irby's firearm, and a $128 assessment.
Details regarding the assault case follow, from the affidavit of Detective Keith Banks, lightly edited for clarity and to remove victim information:
On July 25, 2021, at approximately 1653, Officer Deondre Goodwin was dispatched to [an address] in reference to a disturbance. Upon his arrival, Officer Goodwin made contact with Jamarcus Galloway. Mr. Galloway stated that he and his friend, Chandler Irby, were chased by a female driving a gold Chevy Malibu. Mr. Galloway stated that the driver of the vehicle hit the back of Mr. Irby vehicle then fled the scene. The female stated that Irby had shot at her vehicle while he was chasing her. She stated she was Mr. Galloway's girlfriend and that they had an altercation over a cell phone. She stated that she went to Galloway's home, took the phone and left. The female stated that she was later driving to her aunt's house, that Galloway and Irby both chased her, and that at one point, Irby shot at her. Irby stated to Officer Goodwin that he shot at the ground because the female had rammed the back of his vehicle, as she was trying to fight Galloway. Irby was detained without incident and was transported to the Pine Bluff Police Department. Irby's mother turned over Irby's handgun. Irby was read his Miranda Rights; he acknowledged that he understood his rights, and invoked his right to counsel.
A revocation of probation hearing in Irby's fleeing case is currently scheduled for November 7, 2022. Also known as "soon."

Arkansas cop liked that.
Which is hilarious considering Arkansas has no firearm registration and requires no permit for non-criminals to carry concealed or openly. You can still get a carry permit if you have a burning desire to give money away but it doesn't mean much.

Just another day in the office for a lot of these ASP Troopers.
I got to tell you - this agent has serious piloting skill sets !!! Fantastic !!!
Thank goodness a deer didn't decide to jump in front of either vehicle at those speeds. Ever since I totaled a car just like that I NEVER speed at night anymore. Even though there's no deer in this video, I couldn't stop thinking that at any moment one would jump out in front. I guess I'm forever traumatized by that experience.
Totaled my truck after hitting a deer at 80 MPH (speed limit was 80) I couldn't imagine hitting one faster than that...
_I was thinking exactly the same thing!_ 😆
Seen footage of a deputy hitting a deer at over a 120 mph. Instant deer explosion.......
Yeah , wouldn’t like a big head of antlers coming in the window at that speed
Sorry you had to go through that, as someone who lives in an area with lots of deer its horrifying, I will admit the amount of the deer that run across the road has been a lot less than what it used to be a few years back, I remember a few years back, there were some roads I didn’t want to even drive on at certain times at night since the deers would be everywhere, you’d need a deer spotter in the front seat with you looking at the woodland edge to make sure there weren’t any deer ready to take off across the road.
Wow. He only served 4 days in jail, 1 year probation, and 1000 dollar fine. Really? What a joke our justice system is.
I wonder how much his ins went up? btw, I think the trooper cut him slack due to his attitude.

Great work by ASP.
And this man now understands the power of hindsight, he wasn't even being chased in the first place 😭😭
This is textbook how a chase should end. Respect on all sides
no textbook says there shouldn’t be a chase , police chasing a car only doubles the possibility of an accident. chases over traffic infractions are not worth it. this could have ended with the camaro crashing into innocent people or the police car crashing into innocent people.

600 Hours of community service! Yikes! Judge threw the book at this dude.
Very professional conduct by the Trooper.
So he's responding to a wreck (people may be injured or killed i'm sure he doesn't know yet) ,And yet he decides to break off from that call to catch a speeder even if he was driving at a high rate.SMDH. At the time he broke off of the original call he had no idea the guy would run so he was just going after a speeder instead of proceeding to an accident. Maybe I'm missing something. Not faulting the trooper for the job he did catching the guy (He drove very well). Just not sure the logic I guess.
1st thing they ask when a wreck is reported is if there's any injuries... it was probably some fender bender from pill popping Karen using her phone while driving.
I'm sure he was told by someone higher up to go for the speeder. Probably had enough officers at the crash scene.
The speeder was something that was in progress. The crash will still be there when he's finished with the chase or, and more than likely, another Trooper took the crash. Trooper gotta Troop.

Best part is, ya know what the best part is? 109mph responding to a crash. If the crash isn’t that important that it can be ignored, why were you going so fast to a crash?
150 mph is, in perspective, the max speed of the '70s Jaguar E-types and is the speed many a modern passenger jet aircraft is capable of taking off at. The aerodynamic forces on a car at that rate require racing car type construction and fine tuning to keep it firmly on the ground. Respect to the Troopers for their razor-sharp reactions and to the fleet mechanics.
