I am a dairy farmer in NZ, and between 230 cows, we get an average of 20 lame cows a year. It's so cool to watch what you do, and to be honest, helps me do my job better!
I'm NOT sick of hearing a none healing lesion. It helps me to understand a bit more. I LOVE watching you because you really do care about these cows. And it seriously shows that you LOVE your job. I love that!!
Most of tbe hooves are decent & just need a quick trim. It's the few really nasty ones that can turn the stomach. But a few weeks of "Dr Pimple Popper" can harden the most delicate of stomachs.
I appreciate that you go out of your way to explain how well the farmers are treating their cows, and that a lot of the issues came from the person before. Watching you prevent a serious foot problem for a cow was just what I needed. It's always a treat to see you (and Craig) make a difference for animals who depend on you to keep them sound and out of pain.
Graeme, I love how gentle you are with these animals. Taking off small amounts at a time so as not to make them bleed and suffer. Although I have nothing to do with cows (other than eating ice cream etc), I think you do a terrific jobs and it shows how knowledgeable you are!!! Good for you!

Nice to see synonyms for what I learned in my Zoology class (the terms we were taught were proximal and distal, for medial and lateral respectively, based on their relation to the central lines of the body). Thanks and thumbs up from California Graeme!
Proximal and distal are still correct! Think about an arm, the humerus is proximal to the body while the radius and ulna are distal. But the radius is lateral while the Ulna is medial.
