Thanks for the video. If I had known this event was going to happen I would have driven down from WA State just to see the GR Corolla in person! I would love a Circuit Edition in Heavy Metal or White but I'm very worried about being able to get one with the very limited number of CE that will be produced. If I could order one like they could with the GR Yaris that would be great but I hear that Toyota will be doing these with the same allocation system as they do the other models. If a loaded White Core becomes available I'll most likely grab it. I like both hoods, I don't care which roof I get. I do like the gloss black front grill and rear valance of the CE but the flat black of the Core is growing on me. I love the CE seats but I'm curious to see what the Core cloth seats look like. I just can't wait to get one! This car is going to be EPIC!!!
For sure the Circuit Edition in the Heavy Metal. Such a beautiful car, so glad I watched this video. I was about to pull the trigger on a toyota gr86 but I'm going to have to wait for this to come out. It's absolutely gorgeous, and it's really nice to see this kind of creation coming from Toyota, it's sleek, unique, and I really like the fact that the 3 exhaust tips are all functional! Super unique design. Never was a fan of hatchbacks until I saw this one. And it making 300 hp and 274 torque from the factory is impressive to say the least. Not only that but it'll be practical as well.
This is going to be a gem of a car, made in the same car plant as the A80 Supra, Lexus LFA, LC 500 and the GR Yaris. This car is going to be pretty big for Toyota's come back to performance cars. Hoping for the MR2's return.....

Let's be honest the GR Circuit Edition is outstanding, beyond street worthy. In fact its race track worthy. I don't drive on a race track I drive on public roads. 5 main differences are. 1. CE Edition is rare and very special. 2. Roof carbon fiber chuncks 3. Signed Gear shifter 4. Hood bump with vents 5. Rear wing is bigger Core with performance package you still get a beyond street worthy experience. 1. It's still special 2. No Carbon roof awe oh-well you still get the same rims. 3. Still get same short throw great manual 6 speed gear box. 4. After market Hood here comes the vents. 5. Bigger rear wing I'll pass, the standard one is just fine. For me I chose the Core with performance package and that comes with the LSD (Limited Slip Differential) just like the CE version.
Wow this was an awesome video and those 2 corollas are some pretty crazy game changers coming soon, much faster and aggressive than my ‘08 Corolla sedan 😂 also Jeff that weed comment (at 16:50) had me… ROLLIN 🤣🤣

Just pre ordered one. I couldn't get my hands on a circuit edition, so hopefully i can find and aftermarket circuit style spoiler to go on my core version. So freaking excited

I did however put a refundable 500 dollar deposit down on one at my local toyota dealership. I recently talked to them and found out i was the 4th person to put a deposite down on one at their dealership which doesn't really fill me with confidence of getting one of the 2023 models... i do however hope i can get a 2024 model if toyota decides to keep making them

Warning the headgaskets from the gr yaris are showing premature wear. Look at audi s3 for the same price.

this is probably the best looking hatchback in my opinion, can't wait for it to come out. For sure going to get this car when it comes out! I've never liked any hatchback look. But this one is absolutely beautiful. Big fan of the way it looks. Can't wait to see what aftermarket accessories come out for it! I think this is going to give the Subaru wrx a run for it's money. I was considering a toyota gr86. But this is just, wow. The 3rd exhaust tip kinda looks like a usb-c port but it still looks unique and gives the car a more aggressive sporty look to it. I know it's still a work in progress but it's so gorgeous already

If the base MSRP is $45K for the circuit edition and a Toyota dealer sells it at MSRP, it will sell quickly. Although it will probably be priced accordingly to its competition. Obviously if some idiot dealer prices its allocation to absurd prices, then those cars will be sitting in its showroom for some time.

The only two questions are which dealers and by how much they will overprice over MSRP both editions when they are released. If I had to guess right now the MSRP for a base core edition will be $38,999 and the MSRP for a base circuit edition will be $44,999.

Great for Toyota, an I3 1.6 turbo with 300 hp / 273 tq, an AWD system that drivers have a choice of 60-40, 50-50, or 30-70 power distribution, front and rear wheels, the GR Corolla only comes as a manual transmission, you’ve got too like those 3 individual exhaust tips, all the good news, now to this, if Toyota had an I3 turbo engine in development, one wonder assume somebody at Toyota known of this and still yet they needed BMW to make the Supra, Toyota come of easily did an I6 3.0 turbo engine with equal or more power than the current BMW unit in it, so, it goes to show, Toyota didn't care about the Supra or a new-gen I6 engine, that could have been used in several Toyota / Lexus RWD models, no they stuck with the V6 3.4 turbo, great, only if, the fact that Mazda and even Stellantis has new I6 engines is even more worrying about Toyota
Doesn't look like a 50K car. With deal markups core is around 50 k and circuit around 55K to 60K. Hate the looks. Compare the looks to an 86. Ins rates for this car is gonna be astronomical. 3 cy won't last either. 100 hp per cyclinder is way too much. And you cannot order one no matter what people say. You can only buy this car from the lot.
50% of worldwide hatchback sales is Europe... and no Corolla GR in Europe. Shame and big mistake. Corolla because of its size is far more practical vs Yaris. Corolla would be sport car deal breaker here in Europe (especially with dreamed optional automatic gearbox).
Great Car👍🏾but will not buy this car in a 5 door hatch.. the old collar t sport came as a 3 door hatch? no 1 in the UK wanted the 5 door.. the Honda type R use to be a 3 door hatch only.. now they are 5 door??? only in the UK.. for that reason!!! You cant preorder from toyota what are smokin. Toyota only allows you to buy from lot. All these cars will come w at 10% markup.

single turbo 1.6l* Also 300hp is just the beauty of turbocharging. Only downside is 3000+ RPM spool.

Actually like the Core edition more. Leave off both differentials and make it 200 lbs lighter right off the bat.

Doesn't look like a 50K car. With deal markups core is around 50 k and circuit around 55K to 60K. Hate the looks. Compare the looks to an 86. Ins rates for this car is gonna be astronomical. 3 cy won't last either. 100 hp per cyclinder is way too much. And you cannot order one no matter what people say. You can only buy this car from the lot.
