    I'm glad it's a hatchback, the more videos I watch of it, the more I like it. Compact hatchbacks are hard to come by in North America unfortunately.. I'd jump on the Audi RS3 Sportback, if it were available here. Not a big fan of sedans. I like hatchbacks, wagons, and trucks all for their practicality and utility. Not a fan of Crossovers or SUVs as much, too much extra weight, higher center of gravity, and I'm not a soccer mom lol.(Just a bearded guy who drives semi trucks for a living) Coupes are good looking, but just not practical enough for me.
    Bravo to Toyota and it's partners for offering fun, affordable, small displacement vehicles for the masses. Now if only more manufacturers would offer some more hatchbacks and wagons here in the US.

    I'm interested In this car or a 400z to replace my older mustang. The thing I'm concerned about is tuning. I'm assuming exhaust mods would provide pretty decent gains. But overall how much power can I little 3 cylander handle? I feel like it may already be at its limit unless you wanna get forged internals. I would like AWD but I would get tired of 300HP after a year or so.

    • @AlDim000
      @AlDim000 2 года назад +9

      This engine has reinforced internals vs the GR Yaris and the Yaris already can make a lot of extra power on the stock engine, so I wouldn't be worried at all about that. Also, the car is really light for a modern AWD performance compact.

    • @tinuthomas531
      @tinuthomas531 2 года назад +11

      There’s already people out there who have made significant gains with this engine. Even though it’s an i3, Toyota usually does not ever wring an engine out to its fullest potential. This is usually for the sake of reliability, but it can sometimes be unlocked like how it is with this engine. I mean look at the 2JZ, that was over engineered, and so was this G16E engine. It’s basically a more tame racing engine so it’s built for the abuse compared to turbo charging a little economy engine that’s made for mpg

    why make such a master piece, and limit it to 1500cars? there are 1500 Toyota dealerships in the USA alone even if 100% of the Circuit Edition goes to the USA alone, that's 1 per dealership!!! of course that won't happen, it'll be spread out around the world, soooo
    good luck ordering one =(

      Because just like its AE86 predecessor, the GR86 (even the older GT86) is designed to be an affordable entry level sportscar with more emphasis on agility (turning ability) rather than pure horsepower machine.
      Sure, Toyota & Subaru could've use a turbo but it will eventually make the engine more complex & heavier which at the end also gonna make the price higher as well.
