- While being in Salzburg we decided to try Mozartkugeln. There are several companies that produce this speciality form Salzburg so we decided to try Mozartkoglen and do Mozartkugeln tasting in Salzburg. As we found out there is only one original Mozartkugel from a company called Fürst, the Reber Mozartkugeln, Mirabell Mozartkugeln, and Mozartkugeln from Schatz or Mozartkugeln from Holzmayer are just a copy. All of them have different taste so I would recommend you trying some while visiting the city.
Mozartkugeln we tried:
⇛ Original Salzburger Mozartkugeln Fürst
⇛ Echte Salzburger Mozartkugel Schatz
⇛ Echte Salzburger Mozartkugel Holzermayr
⇛ Die Echten Reber Mozart-Kugeln
⇛ Mirabell - Echte Salzburger Mozartkugeln

A blind taste test would of been so interesting
This is why I love your videos, I have never heard of Mozartkugeln before, but my goodness does this sound phenomenal! I love nougat. I love marzipan and I love chocolate! so this looks right up my alley :D definitely need to try this when I go to Germany one day.
I do not think Holzermeyr started producing Mozartkugeln in 1865, because Paul Fürst, who was the first to make them, started later. (Holzermeyr might have started as a confectioner's in 1865, though.)
My Wife and I will be traveling to Salzburg later this week from the U.S.A. Thank you for this video, as it helps very much to know what the different types of Mozartkugeln are available for purchase.
Thanks for this lovely comment! I am glad that we could help:) We were surprised by how different the Mozartkugeln taste comparing to Kugeln that are exported. I wish you lots of fun exploring the city and let me know which one was your favourite one!;)
Its like Bavarian beer... a lot of different companies, but at the end, they are all good :)
😂😂😂
Are you czech or polish?
Fürst💪🏼💪🏼
Agree!
Furst won't ship the the USA 🥺
You can make these yourself.
the Mirabel chocolate in the 1980's used ti taste so much better than now.. now its just too bland and the quality just went from bad to worst ...
MuslimahX79 thanks! Shame we haven’t tried it in the 80‘s! We were very disappointed with its taste. It’s a shame that this is probably the only Kugel exported - people who hasn’t been to Salzburg have no idea how the real once taste 😒
@@cooking-the-world Yes the ingredients are fresh and it taste the best :D
@@cooking-the-world In Canada we get lots of Reber! Only one I have ever had. Never tried Mirabell. I want to try Fürst!
Reber is not Austrian so invalid
What model SAK is that?
