Hold out until you can get one at a deep discount. Thats what I did and just purchased my wide body Scat Pack that had an MSRP of $62,280 for $45,995 with only the standard dealer fee of $995 and tax and title added at Arrigo Dodge in West Palm Beach Florida. Dealers in South Florida are desperate to sell vehicles and have drastically reduced all Challengers and Chargers.
I have a 2013 super track pack RT with the 6 speed manual. It has been a part of the family. Beautiful, efficient, and quick enough for 5 second flat 0 to 60. For what I paid I have no regrets. (2019 before government ruined the economy and every single market)
The older the better. can't wait to get my financial life on track so i can buy the vehicles i always had my eye on
Grow Up! Poor MPG 93 required, 2 year old depreciation, high insurance cost, Over priced by stilantus, Dealer Gouging. Police over watched due to idiots and speed. On most stolen list. Hemi Tick, Header warping, goes through tires like mad! I want one.
Challenger R/Ts are going for $36k down here in South Texas, regular charger/challenger Scat Packs are going for $50k
Just bought an RT T/A performance plus. Sticker is over 61k, got it for under 46. Car is loaded.

I got a 23 after my 14 was pretty much stolen for 17,000 with only 33,000miles on it .I have only 800miles on it my ins is 200 a month . I love mine.
Go for the new one while you can. I bought a new scat pack with 6 speed in the B5 Blue. Got the Dynamics package with Harmon Kardon system as well. Love it and fun to drive. Test drove RT models as well and liked those. Great packages and a little bit more conservative. But in the end I decided to go for the Gusto! Hence the scat Pack.

I had a 17 rt and a 20 scat pack wide body. Thought I would try a mustang. After a year I traded it in for a great deal on a optioned out RT
Apparently, windshields are cracking on the 23s.
This is a great video. Clear and concise. I bought one but it was damaged at the dealer so the deal unwound. No complaints about the dealer handling at all. But I'm wondering if you'll daily the one you picked up? And if you went used or new on your purchase that you mentioned in the comments?
Thanks! I went with a new one. Had a choice between manual, this one, and an automatic. I went sublime in color and the automatic since I will drive it often. Not every day, but a few days a week. So far so good. Thanks for watching. Much appreciated.
@@chabbysrides definitely understand. I found an exact match for the one that got damaged but I'm also finding low mileage used ones (where I'm not liking the color so much) for $40k local to me. And that's a fully loaded up RT with all the handling packs. Dealers near me currently have Plus pack RT's for $40k new, but that's minus the handling packs, stereo upgrades, and T/A pack of course. You called that depreciation issue perfectly.

Nothing wrong with the RT, I have an older one, 09 with the manual, love driving it. We got a 21 SP but that one is an auto so my wife can drive it lol. Both are great cars! Over 52k on the SP and over 242k on the 09. Pretty reliable and fun.

If your financially able to yes I’d get a used one. A RT isn’t a daily driver so who cares if it’s used. You will regret not buying one when you can’t find one in gas. Good luck.

Come to California, they are all 10 grand off MSRP.
They are not worth 100,000 i dont care what it is. The RTs are fun if thats what you want . If you are going into competition racing better think about it the 800hp to 1025 are not for regular driving and sure insurance is higher on that.
Nothing wrong with the R/T but if you buy one and want to keep it, don't ever drive a Scatpack. You'll end up realizing that you should have got the Scatpack and you'll have to trade for one.

@@chabbysrides Glad you enjoy your Challenger. I got an R/T first and ended up getting the Scatpack because I liked the extra power. The R/T is still a rock solid car, and just an all around great vehicle to have. It's not about being the fastest all the time, because the Scatpack definitely isn't the fastest. It's about enjoying the car.
Insurance is very hiiiiiiiiigh.

@@abimaellopez7258 Over 2 times what I pay on my chevy truck. I was going to buy a Challenger until I checked. No way it is not worth it.
But it's not a 440 6 pack it's a piece of crap
Same specs and quarter mile times while being more comfortable, efficient, smaller displacement, safer and more features
I love classic challengers as well. It's my dream car, but lets not lose perspective
