I have been using this DreamWear Gel pillow mask for 2 months and happy with it, the only problem I have is sometimes I wake up and have to expel air out of my mouth, I turn off the machine and on again and all fixed! I use level 3. Thanks for this video!
New CPAP wearer and it was recommended to me by my provider(also a CPAP user) I give the Philips Respironics DW gel pillow mask a try. It works really well. I have had zero leaks and it is super comfortable. Great review and channel!
@@DB-so8zc Thanks. I'm deciding on either Dreamweaver Nasal Pillow or the Fisher & Paykel Brevida™ Nasal Pillows Mask. I'm leaning towards the Brevida since I like how it inflated the pillows for a more secure fit.
hi there, i have just been diagnosed with Sl. Apnea, i went to pick out a mask, and picked the latter one on your video, that the tubing has the on the head where it (if you move to your right side, the tubing turns with you, and vice versa). With this tubing there, i can just do a bit of reading, shut my light and go to sleep. I have NOT found that it has a noise at the facial areas that run to the nose. None! it's very very quiet, it's the way you put it on, if you don't have it right, it will make noise in the tubing, you have to make sure that some of the tube comes down the jaw line, then above the ears. Thank youo for posting!
I have the new pillow mask and it is amazing. So light weight and fairly comfortable to wear. I started with the standard cone style mask and would break out with pimples. Downside of the silicone mask is that it will cause u to sweat.
great review. informative and helpful. tried this mask for the first time last night (without the pillows) and found it to be excellent. Other pillows in the past have been painful - however this mask was by far the most comfortable I have used worn so far (been using masks/ cpap machines for 7 plus years) - slept for 8 hours plus last night :)
A month into using my gel pad pillows (changed from nose cushion), I sleep much better becauseI can sleep on my side without risk of dislodging the gel pad and creating a leak. I even wake up thinking I removed my mask because I'm not aware anymore that I'm wearing my mask while sleeping.
I recently tried the resmed N30i; I'm going back to gel pillows... I usually wear nuance but will try the dreamer with gel pillows; thanks for your review :)
I just started using the Dreamwear mask three days ago. So far, I'm unhappy with it and I don't feel like I'm sleeping much at all. I've used the Resmed nasal pillows for 7 years with very few complaints. I'd like to try these pillows but I'm getting tired of having to pay to try the "newest".
Hi Douglas, thanks for sharing your opinion on this mask. From our 794 reviews we have it currently at 4.5 out of 5 stars. 561 of those reviews were 5/5 and 95 were 4/5 stars. Everyone is different and different people prefer different mask models/styles. Best wishes for the future
I hope you didn't misunderstand. I'm not complaining. I haven't yet used the Gel Nasal Pillow and I'm looking for assistance and input. I sleep with my CPAP every single night, but I need help moving into the "new technology" that is available. Your review has me wanting to try the Gel Mask Pillows very much. I've used the standard Dreamwear mask for three (fairly miserable) days.
First of all, thank you for your review. Of all the youtube reviews about this mask, I think your video is the best! According to Leftyhanky from the usa it is exactly the other way around. The Gel Pillows have leaks for him and the under the nose pillows does not. I have now tried both and must admit that I find the under the nose pillows more comfortable, however, I have here more leaks when I sleep sideways or on my stomach. With Gel Pillows everything is secure and I think might be the only solution for me. The reason is probably because the standard version does not leak with larger pointed noses, but with smaller flat noses, especially Asian noses like mine. I don't know. What annoys me is that the gel pillows lift my nose slightly and thus the nose feels a bit sore at the bridge of the nostrils at night. I am also afraid that the nose will change a bit due to the little uplift. What do you think about this? And do you think light sores from lifting the nose up will eventually go away? The nose also gets dry quickly, but a nasal ointment for the nasal mucous membranes that I use sporadically and a humidifier helped me.
I was told years ago with another mask, that if you have the mask frame too tight/small, you will put too much pressure on your nose (lifting it up). Perhaps your masks frame needs to be bigger....
the dreamwear nasal not pillow is all I can use and I wear a MW size (medium wide).I have tried others and this is it unfortunately I cant use a full face. I think the FF would work better if I could use it
The hose keeps falling out of the nasal pillow which is a real problem. Not sure if there is a better system or not? Would appreciate any ideas about how to prevent this issue
You didn't mention one other downside ....I have shorter hair than you and a lot of the time after I have unclipped for the bathroom when I come to re-clip , my hair gets trapped in the top and hurts like hell when it gets pulled lol
Is the DreamWear Nasal Gel nasal piece much much better than my Swift FX nasal? I don’t like my Swift FX mask much because it’s difficult to sleep on my sides without air leaks. Thx
CPAP Reviews, After two weeks of using my Dreamwear Nasal Gel, I hate it! The vent at the top would come into contact with my hair. Every time my hair touches the vent holes, a whistling sound is made. So annoying! I ended up using my Swift FX instead.
Are the two frames the same? I recently got the latest Dreamwear frame and really like it, but have terrible leaks and thought maybe the gel pillows would work better.
@@CPAPReviews yeah i had to drop money on 3 different masks before i found one that works. it's worth losing some money when it comes to sleep apnea. you can't have a life if you have sleep apnea and sleeping without a cpap. Plus since it's 1-2 time use only, you can just clean it quickly and sell the ones you didn't like. recuperate some of the money

Thanks for your good videos and help
Hahaha. Thank you! I do get this a bit but i don't see it myself. I would definitely try a nasal mask if you have yet to try one and i wouldn't trust any advice your clinician tells you. From my experience 90% of them don't have any idea or any real life experience with cpap equipment or sleep apnea. With a nasal mask, you don't really need to worry about the Frame size, it's more the cushion size and most of the time you can download a size guide which you can print of to size yourself up. Some nasal masks also come as a fit pack so you get a Small, medium and large cushion included in the pack. About 70% of the time men are going to be a medium size so if you look in the mirror and you think you have a pretty standard nose then chances are you're gonna be fine with a medium. If you get it wrong you can always buy a different size cushion that will fit into the same frame :-). I always encourage my patients to start with a nasal or nasal pillow mask! Even if they have been told by a 'specialist' that they need a full face mask. Best wishes Nick
