The DreamWear line of CPAP masks from Philips Respironics is one of the most popular and successful lines of masks on the market. Is this warranted or should you check out a Nasal Pillow mask from ResMed or Fisher & Paykel?

As a new CPAP victim (🤣), I really appreciate these CPAP videos. They are short, not over-produced, and honest. They are helping me a lot.

Great video.. I use this exact mask.. For the most part I really like it. There is a potential leaking. However the cons are not enough for me to look for another. For me this is extremely comfortable. No face marks, pimples , nose sores..All in all it’s great for me. Using it now 3 years ..

I am new to CPAP, only 2 weeks. The setup in this video is exactly what I’ve been using - AirSense 11 with DreamWear Nasal Pillow (small). I am a side sleeper. As I flop back & forth I’ve had minimal leaking, mostly none. It does make a small amount of noise when exhaling, but that’s not a bother. I will sometimes open my mouth (air rushes out) to make sure it is still in place and operating. I like the air hose at the top of the head. Although I have nothing to compare it to, seems like a very good setup. Very easy from the very start.

I use the dream wear pillow mask (med. frame/small nose) I used to try sleeping on my side when I first started with a CPAP mask. That mask had the elephant trunk style of hose and I found that I ended up with the hose wrapped around my throat. I got the Dreamwear mask as shown and have no problem with Mask fit or leakage of the seal. I have no problem with sound as my air pressure is set per testing at 6 lbs. My only problem with the CPAP comes from the length of the hose. The resmed heated hose is too darn long. I ordered an unheated hose from my supplier that is 2 feet shorter and hopefully that will help with having my hose constantly being in my way. I hate having the hose touch me at night. Bur with this mask I gone from 40 events per hour to usually less than one. It was 0.1 event last night. On occasion, I've even had no events. I should say that I'm now sleeping on my back so my mask has no pressure put on it as was shown in the video. I like the soft nasal pillows as they have nothing sticking up into my nose which I had with my first mask.

I only use this type of mask. It does take a little time to figure out the best sleeping positions but once you do you'll be fine. I dont have any problems with leaking and im a side sleeper. I just enjoy the air tube being on top and no nasal pillows in my nostrils.

I have the Dreamweaver nasal cpac mask like the one in this video. To me, it looks like it's causing nasal creases from the mask bending my nose when I lay on my side. Have you heard of this style of cpac mask causing nasal creases before?

What is your favorite nasal pillow mask for a side sleeper? I am currently using a Airfit N30i and used to love this mask.. and never had leaks until resmed decided to go cheap on the cushions and moved away from the hard plastic ends.. to soft plastic.. and now get leaks all night long .. .. thanks.

I’m new to using CPAP, I was using the resmed mask with the nasal cushion with the holes in it and I felt like I was suffocating, like the nose holes were too small for my big nostrils lol. I have just switched over to this Phillips with the silicone nasal pillow and find the mask to be much better. My only problem is the vent hole in the front.
Why doesn’t this have a diffuser like the resmed? It creates a typhoon of air so I can’t turn on my side toward my wife. It seems common sense that they would add something to diffuse the air. Has anyone had this problem? And has anyone found a solution?
I’m thinking of trying the nasal pillow mask for the resmed but I prefer the comfort of the Phillips and slim profile.

I like this mask and have used it BUT everything you said is true. I had to take off the over the ear plastic as during movement of the head it came close to my ear and almost cut it.

I really like this mask. The hose doesn’t get caught as I turn often during sleep. I have the small nasal cradle and I need the medium. It’s been ordered so I’m waiting. Why is your hose dark in color? Mine is clear.

I just received the respironics Nuance pro, I really wanted the head mounted mask coming off a resmid with the gathery too I loved it but I got my repironics finally replaced but the resmid leaked 🎉. It leaked profusely and it would end upbeside me in the bed the morning. Rotech is hard core and once they send a mask you’t get another for 6 months. Leakages are nightly. Roteck does have a computer simulation that matches you with the best mask for you but if the send the wring one you have to pay to send it back to them.

you can also grab just the 'under the nose' cushion (the cradle) and it will fit on this frame. I find it is better than the pillows. Might make it a decent backup mask :)
