    After trying many masks, this one hit the jackpot. It's comfortable; no frontal tube to get in the way; minimal leaks. I tried the Dreamwear and really love the minimal cushion, but I found the headgear was not sufficient to keep the cushion in place, so much leaking. The DreamWisp has answered all my problems. I recommend it without hesitation.

      And just saw your guitar/bass! You’re a cool cat!
      While Im here. I may as well ask.
      I bought an automatic SleepStyle machine coupled with a Dreamwear nasal mask. What a comfortable mask!
      I was wondering about inhaling what I’ve just exhaled.
      So I did a little test. As I was exhaling I blocked the airflow at the side ‘tunnels’. Doing this I found that I couldn’t exhale at all. I know that there’s an air out pin hole at the front. But this doesn’t seem to be enough for exhaling.
      So my question is. Am I just inhaling what I’ve just exhaled? I really am confused but doing that little exercise had me worried.
      Thanks and keep up the amazing work! You should start a guitar channel! I’d definitely support!
      😊👍

    Thank you for a lot of good tips. I’ve been using the Dream Weaver, but it is leaking too heavily because my pressure had to be increased. I’m disappointed that you found this one to leak so badly. Tonight I’m going to try it out. I wasn’t terribly pleased with the Tech who did my mask fitting this time. I wasn’t able to tolerate a full face mask, and he seemed to write me off after that. He didn’t have all the models he should have had prior to my appointment. He just shrugged it off. Well now that I’ve bent your ear with a vent, I’m off to give the mask a try.

    I have tried this version of the Wisp and prefer the original Wisp over it. If you are a side-sleeper, you may find the sides are more uncomfortable as they press into your temple. With the "old' Wisp, the side straps are flat and don't cause any irritation.....just my personal experience.

  • @utuber1000
    @utuber1000 4 года назад +13

    As an original Dreamwear user and former Wisp user, I was excited to see this new design because of the double-backstrap design which encloses the back of the head, unlike my Dreamwear where the single backstrap is always slipping upward making the nose cushion drop away from my nostrils! And then BAM your video reveals that the front bottom part of the straps is attached by MAGNETIC clips (!) meaning the fine print warns all pacemaker users (like me) that this mask can completely SCREW UP my heart rate!!! Why don't these manufacturers (besides hiding the fine print) give us an OPTION to choose between magnets and regular velcro straps!!!

    Jason, I have the leaking around the upper sides too when I first put it on, but I curl that portion of the cushion in until it seats. After adopting your mouth taping suggestion more recentlh, I'm now able to sleep on my back - really great. And this mask seems to work in that position. I'd suggest you might be more happy with it after mouth taping and back sleeping and that could eliminate the air jet problem too. But I agree that the N20 air touch, for example, is more comfortable.

  • @Johnnylaurelli

    I just started about a week ago with the N20 and it's been working really well. Tried the dreamwear but the cushion design feels like too much air is shooting up directly in my nostrils. Going to try this one next for the overhead design, but full nasal.

    I'm a new CPAP user and after having some issues with the ResMed Airtouch F20 (pressure on my nose, killer neck pain, headaches) I was directed to this mask. You're 100% spot-on regarding the leaks with this mask, and I'm still having monster neck pain plus some serious sinus pressure. (I'm going out on a limb here and guessing CPAP isn't compatible with an acute sinus infection.) I'll try the Dreamwear or ResMed N30i, and cross my fingers for greater success. I have had my cpap for just shy of 2 weeks. My first mask was a resmed airtouch f20, which was fine.. but I sleep on my stomach a lot so the hose coming out of the front just does not work for me. I then switched to a dreamwear full face, I felt like I could not get enough air (kept yawning), did not like how it felt if I took a deep breath of air and exhaled it, and it was just too warm and wet around the outside of my mouth. I then asked them why they started me with a full face anyways to which they basically said "I dunno..". Told them my issues and convinced them to give me this mask. It's only been 1 night, and I can't say what I think yet. This is the second time trying to humidifier part on my cpap (airsense 10) and I started with it set at a 4 (that is what they set it at when I picked it up) - way too much water, I woke up 3-4 times with water all over the place lol. Once I woke up to gurgling noises coming from the top piece where the hose connects on top of your head. I'm going to turn the humidifier down to 1 or off tonight and see how that goes.

    Around the 6 minute mark, you're showing how to reattach the top section...I've taken that apart and put it back together when cleaning, BUT.... a couple of nights ago, when I started to put the cpap (nasal pillow) Dreamwear on, the whole nasal pillow was completely unattached from the hard plastic on one side, so when I was trying to see WTH.... the OTHER side came loose TOO! Sooo, there is nothing to "snap" it into anymore as the silicone nasal mask doesn't have the hard connectors anymore...they're on the other side, still snapped into the headgear! I never paid any attention to it before, but WHAT holds the hard plastic pieces in the silicone of the nasal cushion? I just ordered another one and am using another kind until it gets here, but was just wondering. I didn't want to use an adhesive because of toxicity... very weird, huh? Thanks anyone for input on this quandary!

    Tried dreamwear. Continually from The mask being moved left and right every time I slightly move my head. Gave up. Using n30i small mask but it slightly wraps around the sides of the nose, so way less leakage. Air tube still at the top of the head. The mask comes with a filter to prevent air blasts to your bed partner, or pet, as the case may be. This one feature is really nice. But the head gear never stayed on my head and kept slipping up and off my head completely. Had to use the headgear from the dreamware onto the n30i frame. Wish the whole thing came as that from ResMed. So I get part of it covered by my insurance, (the n30i frame) and the head gear (dreamwear headgear plastic and velcro parts and the cheek velcro soft pads) pay for myself because they are rival companies. Bummer. But so far after trying several, this setup is the best for me.
