It’s a pretty good one, it’s the one I’ve probably practiced most yet still have the hardest time on, but it’s far from what I’d call the most difficult, he’s definitely an odd ball

I found the best strategy for Zote and that is to absolutely tank/slash him. Charms: Stalwart Shell, Unbreakable/Fragile Strength, Quick Slash, and Unbreakable/Fragile Heart or Lifeblood Heart (you won't heal anyway so doesn't matter). You should bash your head against Zote, it will kill you before you kill it. Dodge the obvious attacks, kill the Zotelings when you can, but as soon as you get hit, just batter him like there's no tomorrow. Jump one shockwave, keep battering him, jump another shockwave, keep battering him. As soon as you get hit, just go nuts. Just watch out for his flail attack, as that messes up the combo. So avoid that one as you can. This works for Zotes 1-4. From Zote 5 onwards I found it to work less well although I did get him to final stage in Zote 5 even, so should be possible. Obviously not beyond that ;p PS. I love your Hollow Knight boss videos man. So detailed and accurate. Keep it up. I hope you will also do Silksong!
I struggled with zote more than the radiance for me the reason he's so hard is how big the arena is most of the times I've died it's been him teleporting above me without me seeing because he's off screen

Guys i cant dream nail grey prince zote for 2nd time (i have all 3k essence)
