One thing I always loved about sly 3 is that the dialogue writing and performances just convey such a deep connection between all of the characters. Every game in the series has done a good job of that but Sly 3 was sucker punch’s magnum opus in this regard

I used to react to his telegraphs too quickly. His telegraphs are slightly longer than you’d expect. And because of that, I’d end up getting hit. So, the first time I beat pure vessel I actually did so with the game at 1.5x speed. Because it was easier to just react than to react with a delay

Even as a little kid, I always questioned the use of a saw to cut the wings off. It would be so freaking loud, sparks would be flying, and he's doing it while dangling from a rope 😂

One thing to consider for the Canada level is that up until this point in the game you explore in the cover of darkness, and then you face the horrors of Prague. After what is possibly the two darkest levels in the game you enter the first rays of light in either of the two games up to this point

Murray's return to the gang sent me into an excited frenzy. I was so stoked to have him back. Sure, it wasn't as hard to get him back as it could have, but Murray was always my favorite. I loved his character in Sly 2 and felt the pain he did... but he couldnt help himself when his friend was in peril again. And that manic scream of "I WILL FLOSS MY TEETH WITH YOUR SPINE!" always gets me so hyped.

I remember the last time I played Sunshine I tried to see how many Shine Sprites I could get before Peach gets kidnapped by keeping the lighthouse sunk; pretty sure it was around 30. Even I got tired of her getting taken permanently in the first 10% of the game.

This has to be one of the lowest things Bowser has done; lying to his own son so he’d kidnap Peach because he couldn’t beat Mario himself.

I always think about a weird camera glitch involving ground pounding a dune bud before the sand pops up. It would cause the camera to lock on the sun a little before forcing the camera back in to Mario while giving a view of the island while zooming back in.

I just finished Sly 2 like Last night and while I will be checking this out, I do have one thing to say about this game, if he mentioned this, I dont know, but, in the Pause menu, if you press down on that menu you can hear the Cooper theme in the sound effects, I dont know what you hear in pressing up on it.

I want to say it was B-Masks analysis video of sly 2 that pointed it out to me, so I thought I’d share it here

A small detail I always liked about the Contessa’s stages: the flashlight guards having different footfall sounds. The uneven sound of their claws and weapon slapping against the stone made them much more intimidating than any other flashlight guards. I think that really attributes to the spooky atmosphere and my hesitation to be seen as a kid.

Kinda surprised he didn't mention how, yet again, Carmelita's voice actress is changed. At this point it's basically a running gag that Carmelita gets a new voice each game.

I just finished this whole series, and I don't remember if you explained it very directly, but the sunglasses tint you complained about was really the whole purpose of the sunglasses guy. In the instruction manual it says to search out the sunglasses vendor if you have sensitive eyes, since the sun gets brighter as you collect more shines.

For as much as I've played this game, I've never slowed down like this and actually talked to all the NPCs/explored every single avenue of it. This video really shows how this game shines ✌✌

If there were some of the characters from the comics in this game, I'd bet Winthorp would be the one operating the projector.

4:13:00 - I can answer the question about what denatured means, at least from a biology standpoint. Not sure if it's different for chemistry. It basically means that its effects have been lessened or neutralised. Kinda like how the viruses included in vaccines are denatured to make them easy target practice for your immune system. i.e. The spice gas in the balloons won't cause the rage effects. The real question is why put it in balloons? Even if it floats like Helium it's not likely cheaper than Helium. Can't be for dispersing it as it is denatured. Can't be for logistics because that what the trains are for.

Actually a saw blade made with gems is a real thing because high end industrial saws are diamond tipped. Don't think rubies work as well though, lol.
