That was the BIGGEST beagle I’ve ever seen in my life!!! What breed of dog was that?

Hahaha that’s Garth a Treeing Walker Hound. My wife has three of those yard bombers, all are rescues. She got him last year, he was 40lbs now he’s 85lbs. He makes a few appearances, probably wonder who iam talking to.

I just picked up an 88 f150 4x4 XLT Lariat. Originally from Montana. 302, 5 speed. My 3rd one of this. Love 'em!
Great video, and looking forward to seeing what you do with her!

I put a lot into that truck and was daily driving it but it’s a perpetual pile. It’s now sitting out on death row because it wiped out the cam.

@65f100352 yea I wanted that truck for a while, it was much more comfortable than my c10 and more room. Belonged to the wife’s grandfather so I was planning on keeping it alive but it just rejected living in a GM household lol.

This one has been far from number one, failures on so many levels. About a month ago it developed a massive valve train noise and a dead cylinder. It seems it’s wiped out a lifter, blows my mind.

I bought an '88 F150 XLT Lariat extended cab last year that was likely a farm truck or something of that nature. It was from Colorado & had 0 frame rust & just a little body rust, but has a good few dents. Mechanically, it needed & needs some work but there's just something I love about driving it. It's the 5.0 with a 5 speed manual & just seems more like a real driver's truck. I don't see spending $70k on a new one with all the no-choice add-on garbage they put on those things anymore. I've put some money & work into this truck but it's mostly been on my schedule vs an expensive truck payment...and guess what?...it still hauls things around just like an expensive one! Gas mileage vs a new one is a fair argument but I don't use it as a daily driver. Have you done anything further with your truck?

    • @LeftForDeadGarage
      @LeftForDeadGarage  Год назад

It’s still here and I’ve never had something so unreliable lol. I’ve spent way more on it than it’s worth even after the second video on it. Now it seems like it has wiped out a cam lobe/lifter. I’ve not pulled it apart to look but if that’s the case then Iam probably done with it. I liked the truck and it’s way more comfortable than any C10 that I’ve had but I don’t like it enough to keep throwing money at it. Not sure what to do with it since it belonged to the wife’s grandfather.

@@LeftForDeadGarage - yeah, that's a shame, sorry to hear that. I kinda worry a bit about the engine work ahead on mine as well. It may just get a crate engine & be done with half the nonsense (definitely want to rid it of all the tired emissions junk). As for yours, maybe just see if a friend or another family member would want it & probably do the same thing- just put another engine in it. They do ride/handle pretty decently & comfortably, as you mentioned. I like my manual transmission too- shifts when I want 🙂. I did watch your other video on it & will sub to check out your other projects. Take care sir, & good luck with your future projects.

@outhere8690 Iam the end of the road for all the unwanted vehicles go lol. I’ll do something with it, the wife doesn’t want me to put it out on “death row” as I call it. I keep a lot of irons in the fire so Iam not sure when I’ll get back to it though.

I appreciate that!! The F150 wasn’t in as bad if shape as I had thought. Honestly I feel like iam slightly cheating with it but there certainly room for easy improvements. I do have several other builds already going and I believe I’ll do a video of what we currently have, where they all stand in the build process and what the plans are. I do have a Instagram under Left For Dead Garage.
      Thanks.

Ford produced those generation F-series pickups & Broncos from 1987 through 1991. I still see a lot of those pickups on the roads today but the Broncos on the other hand I don't see many anymore.

My wife’s uncle has a really nice 91 bronco. I’ve done a good bit of work to this ole truck and it gets driven several times a week.

I used to have an old Ford truck like that about 20 years ago. But mine had a 302 V8 and was a 1990 year model F-150.. but was basically the same model of truck.

I wanted the truck for so long and for some reason it’s been nothing but trouble but that’s the way it goes sometimes. Not sure what the future holds for it though.

Making and then actually posting that.... probably one of the toughest things I’ve done. Then telling ppl about it and sharing it on social media, oh boy even worse. That truck was in better shape than I had in mind, but it’s been a fight since the first video. Thanks for watching that though.

Man you were on a mission! I have tried to like this truck that much but there’s always something going on with it. It’s still sitting around here and actually I just started it last night for the first time in several months. I was surprised the battery has enough in it to even spin over. Iam not sure what I’ll ever do with it though.
