Growing up in Detroit, I was blessed to have met Stevie twice. Motown , R & B, Soul, Blues, (saw Etta James, BB King, etc) remains my favorite genre of music followed by jazz (Bakers Keyboard Lounge) . It speaks to my heart and soul. I was fortunate enough to see all the greats of all the genres of music.
Watching again for the unknown time after a long work week. My comfort fix, better than my homemade Mac N Cheese. Loved the collaboration and Stevie was so supportive. ❤️
Aretha at her very best. Think this is my favourite performance ever. Stevie and Aretha giving another performance that gives you goosebumps it’s so good

I'm just an old, amateur piano player from NC. I was in 4th grade when this single came out. Wherever I was, whatever I was doing, when this came on the radio I had to stop and close my eyes and listen with all my heart, soul and mind. G. Duke, Little Stevie and Her Royal Majesty, Queen Aretha; transport of joy.
Used to listen to this everyday repeatedly during my commute on my way to school. I start my day by playing the original version at least 3x a day, not even kidding. But this is just as beautiful. Gives off that more spontaneous and soul vibe. Big thanks to Stevie as well. One of my favorite songs wouldn't exist without him.
