Such a shame to be a market town WITHOUT A MARKET , i know its used for other things but not very often. Any stalls now are stretched over a distance which makes it more difficult for people with a disability.
Thank you for watching and thank you for your comment. I’m sure the darlington borough council administration will see this comment and do the needful.
As a local, I can confirm it is indeed very safe. Like any large town, it has issues with petty crime, such as vandalism and petty theft. But Darlington has a large wealthy population, and a large poor population, and therefore those kinds of crimes are inevitable. In terms of violent crime, it is virtually non-existent. When you compare Darlington to big cities like Birmingham, Manchester and London, it's like a different world. Just use common sense. Don't leave your iPhone sitting on a bench unattended if you don't want it stolen. But to be honest, it's more likely somebody will hand it in to the police.
As much as I would have loved to agree with you, the incidents in the last two days is not enough to justify that Darlington is not a safe place to live. I work in Darlington and I can say it’s safe.
Darlington is such a great place. Now I see why they call it a gate to the Tees Valley. Thank you for your video.
Thanks for watching!
The covered market looks like it has been destroyed! The open market square is chained off for access! What is going on in Darlington???
