Good evening! I hope you're having a wonderful Sunday, and I hope that a walk around the gorgeous Yorkshire town of Richmond is the cherry on top of the cake :) We talked much about Richmond's name on our walk, but one thing you might not know is that - initially at least - the town was known as 'Hindrelag', which was the name of the local townships surveyed during the Domesday Book. Of course, the Norman influence of 'Richemont' came soon after, and the rest is history!
It's a famous place indeed - and certainly deserving of it! Richmond is so fascinating to visit, and I'm glad you enjoyed learning a little bit about its incredible history :) Thank you so much for watching!
OH MAGNIFIQUE CE PANORAMIQUE SYMPATHIQUE DE CETTE SPLENDIDE CITÉ À L'ARCHITECTURE CHALEUREUSE ET IMPOSANTE !.. BEAUCOUP D'ÉMOTIONS AUSSI AVEC TOUS CES ANCIENS ÉDIFICES RELIGIEUX !.. LES RICHEMOND FALLS DOIVENT ÊTRE ÉPATANT POUR LES ENFANTS !.. SUPER MERCI LET'S WALK ET BON LUNDI !..

It is indeed! A unique town with so much to offer - particularly in its stunning range of historic architecture :) Thank you so much for watching - I really hope you enjoyed the video!
Lived locally for 20 years, many a good/ bad night out in Richmond, it's a fabulous place, castle walk holds a lot of memories for me, as does the swale and Richmond falls, 25 years since I was last there and almost identical. Thank you for the walk down memory lane 😁
Nice walk today I enjoyed it can't wait to see more soon. The town of Richmond looks beautiful and historical. Your history lessons are always great and your walks are always enjoyable. How is your weekend going? Mine is going great. Have a great day greetings from Canada 😀

Yes I enjoyed it very much - been there a few times to go to Bishop Blaize pub in the evening, so haven't got to see much of the town, enjoyed the walk down the back streets and gateways. Thanks so much for the history 👍✔💯🙂
And many thanks to you for watching! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video and an extra side to Richmond that you may not have seen before, it's a town full of alleyways and wynds that give it real character, not to mention those many pubs on the Market Place :)
Ha ha that's quite the coincidence that you've moved between the two Richmonds! The 'upon Thames' is a lovely place, but Richmond in Yorkshire has a spectacular quaintness to it that makes it all the more distinctive :) Thank you so much for watching - I'm really glad you enjoyed the video and that it brought back some memories of Richmond!
Living only 30 miles away we visit regularly,in fact we often holiday in Richmond with our dogs, love the place, the pubs, the whole place is a great base for going a bit farther afield like Leyburn,Reeth,Aysgarth fallls etc…Great Vid….we will be back next June for a staycation.

Ha ha I think it must have been a shop alarm - sometimes the ambient noise isn't quite as quaint as I'm always hoping :) Thank you so much for watching, and I'm really glad you enjoyed the video regardless!
