Fantastic memories of Darlington through the year's very poignant memories 😊
Glad you enjoyed it
Served an apprenticeship at North Road Works (1959), amazed by the machine shop picture with every machine driven by overhead line shafting and very long flat belts in earlier days. A great job putting all those pictures on RUclips, thank you.
Your the kind of person I do it for, glad you enjoyed it. If you can, could you like 👍 the video and share it so others will be able to see it. RUclips is weird how it promotes things
I love Darlington ❤ i also live in Darlington and its amazing to see how it looked years before!
Thank you for watching, if it's OK could you like 👍 the video on RUclips please so others get to see it, cheers
@@darkdreamsinc. yeah i did
Brilliant
Thanks
Ancestors that lived in Darlington from at least 1823, when my 3rd great grandfather was married at St Cuthbert's Church. Great grandfather John was in the Ancient Order of Druids around 1900. I worked as a draughtsman for Whessoe Heavy Engineering back in the 1980s. Our family worked for the North Eastern Railway Company, living in Darlington, Stockton & Thornaby ( where I was born & grew up ).
I really like the picture and the look at it now it's not a town no more very sad 😢😢
So many places will never be the same, thanks for watching anyway
Just amazing
Thanks
I love old films and photos of towns up and down the UK.
Fantastic memories of my home town, many thanks.
Your welcome, can you give it a like pl
How did you get all these pics
Research bud
Awesome
Thanks
I was apprenticed at Whessoe in 1968. Served my time and got away from Darlington. Same cultural mentality exists there to this day I believe?
Thanks for Watching, it's great to hear everyone's history, that's why I make these. If you could, could you like 👍 the video please so others get to watch it, cheers
More of the same please

Photos are too fast. Can’t see them before they are gone. Do this one again please with more time to view.
I agree to fast and music is not good
Could have given a bit longer to look at the photos.
Some very good photos, but they were ruined because you do not allow enough time for people to take in the contents. Also, the titles of each view blocked what little chance there is of seeing the pictures. Very disappointing for me since I lived in Darlington as a boy and then moved away.
Apologies
The railway both made & destroyed Darlington.
trying to see the picture with the flippin writing covering it.
Apologies
brilliant video shockingly crap music
Thanks anyway
