text summary:
to summarize the video though, I think this is a great change, as one of the main issues with dillo is that it's not really that skill-based if you just want decent rates, and i think this offers a great solution to it. it doesn't fix all of the problems (still way too easy to get into gear and powder-wise) but it's a start.
the admins might roll another thing out to make it take energy when mining in from the side, who knows. it seems like they might have missed their mark or something, but we shall see in the future

I love how mining is supposed to be the most consistent moneymaking method yet its been nerfed so many times, buffed so many times, itsnot been consistent in the slightest

I mean since I started Ruby mining has been and continues to be a consistent stream of money. I think most money making methods involving mining were based on inflated prices on bazaar and also bug abuse per armadillo mining. Although I’m not denying that there have been changes that heavily impacted the rates.

I mean tbf it's been consistently the beat money making method since release regardless of nerfs/buffs
New meta is to mine from the bottom and jump while looking horizontally, but a balance between this and digging downwards should maintain energy. It’s a little more complex and skill-heavy, but the rates haven’t been reduced a lot.
What I like to do is, if the vein points straight up, tunnel down. If it’s slanted, mine from underneath.
mining from underneath and looking horizontally is like 1-2 blocks mined upwards (unless i've misunderstood this)
dillo hopping is absolutely incredible though
@@Implodent I said jumping while looking horizontally, which yea Ig you could say is the same as dillo hopping. I originally thought that jumping altogether consumed energy no matter what, but energy is lost only if you look up while doing so.
I wish the devs would focus harder on making foraging and fishing bearable than nerfing everything that makes me want to get onto the server.

I got ratted around 6 months ago out of a 2b nw profile with sa 35 and a week ago i made a new profile that im rushing mining in. Im already hotm7 and I'll start powder mining tommorow so i can get 4/4m again and ruby mine. Should I keep going down the mining path now that i have hotm7 or do something else

Esp, pizza has one
it's the coleweight mod. it's basically a skytils import with every single vein in the precursor remnants but it only renders a certain amount at a time. (all of the veins were imported manually, it's not an esp that searches for them or anything) so, as a result, you'll see marked veins in places where they haven't genned because of a structure sometimes

I'm actually curious, I was aware of the fishing rod stat update, but I tried something different. Id always hold drill and only hotkey to aotv or rod for .1s whenever I needed to use them. This should mean the stats from rod are present for very short time and even if I "mine with rod", its only for .1s and then the stats from drill come back. Is this correct or did I just make up some bs?

@@Alaskan_Jake what he tried to say is when swapping from a fishing rod to a drill the drills stats have a delay for 0.1 seconds and it doesnt apply the fortune but this is false since you cant mine with dillo without holding a item that has enough breaking power.
i mean if you swap to the rod for less than a second it never replaces drill stats, but every time you're summoning it'll be after an etherwarp anyways, so chances are that you'll be taking either the aotv's or rod's stats
@@Implodent ehhhhh, well, let's just say I don't have etherwarp yet (don't bully, ironman moment), so I'm only using normal aotv. I got pretty good at looking at the spot I want to tp, quickly hotkey to aotv, warp, hotkey to rod, use and hotkey back to drill... well... gauntlet, so I guess it works. And thanks for the "less than 1s" info, sounds good

Its not exactly a nerf id say its a nerf in the amount of skill it takes to dillo mine if you are really good you could probably still do it
rates are still lowered a little bit (naturals are harder to mine) and getting used to new routing can be a challenge

I think Armadillo Mining as the bug abuse it is should have been nerfed from the start, but since Gornac Client's release every single throne I find has some duper going at the sapphire gems with their sorrow and gauntlet armadillo. It's completely unfair that they can make 30m/h without any mining speed while us ruby miners have to labor for hours powder mining only for 10m/h.

Not really a "nerf" when admin fix a game exploit. It is nice to see admins finally doing something about this economy breaking game exploit. Armadillo is meant to use energy when breaking blocks, using it to break blocks without using energy is just exploiting a game bug and not playing the game as intended.
ok that's cool and all but what's it called if not a nerf? the bug seems to be the way that it takes energy, not how much of it, which they haven't "fixed" if it even is a bug

Hypixel doesn't update quickly, and it was already being used by everyone by the time they could've fixed it... Theyd have recieved so much backlash, players would lose billions in invested gear, prices of gems would skyrocket, and mining manually would have had to have been buffed by a ton to make it feasible. Just because admins chose not to fix it and allow it doesn't make it not bug abuse.
