dumbest part about mole perk its spread is completely random, so half the chests spawn _behind_ a block which makes it much harder to find.

nah i don't want my mole 190 proccing 6 blocks in front of me so that i have to walk forward to mine a block again. i'd rather it gen treasure chests behind me then take away my block efficiency because it mines outside of the player's reach
@@Implodent i mean yeah maybe mole needs a rework. it shouldn't be able to go forward or backward, and all the air blocks should be visible upon breaking so chests cant be hidden.

i remember when dwarven mines first released, people got the normal goblin omelette on their drills. every 20 seconds it would add a drill fuel, and that means every 20 seconds it would reset how much you have broken a block. it was a problem 2 years ago, and its still a problem.
Also in the dwarven mines, the most annoying thing is that you are mining mithril and not paying full attention, then after 5 seconds you realize that you aren't breaking the block you are mining and then realize its a carpet. i understand its for lighting, but why have the light source in the mithril vein disguised as a mithril block?

For the block-breaking animation reset with the drill fuel. I feel like the admins should make the fuel tank a separate item u keep in your inventory, instead of being part of the item lore, so that the fuel tank updates instead of your drill. And maybe they could add a 200k fuel tank to compensate for all your drills pulling fuel from 1 tank.

The thing I especially hate about the item reset on a drill is the fact that a gemstone gauntlet is better than a 655 when gemstone mining, until you practically have a significant difference in mining fortune. It would be so damn nice to see this change, since I can only make up to 15m/hr while ruby mining, despite having a base pristine proc of 22. There's also no way in hell I am going to switch to armadillo mining.
this is exactly what just happened to me. i did like 200m collection worth of dillo mining and the amount of griefers and lack of structures just got too bad. so i tried ruby again. at that point i had a max 655 and a pretty bad soulbound gauntlet. I was making like 2m an hr more with a gauntlet then with the 655. like wtf.
U just need to have low ping.
i think at 350 ping a 655 is like 5% better than a gem gauntlet. that is so depressing

I would like the event "bEtTeR tOgEtHeR" to be absolutely voided from game files, this event literally encourages griefing, why would people wanna mine right next to each other at least make it so you get speed per player in lobby but nah you gotta be in griefing distance to use that event, it's bullshit
i think it should specifically be removed from crystal hollows, because you aren't going to be near anyone in the 60 million cubic block area of the crystal hollows. however its really good in the dwarven mines.
yeah it should be like 10 speed and 5 fortune for each player in the lobby. no really meaningful buffs but buffs nonetheless

A solution for fuel would be updating drills only like 1.5s after you've mined a block and don't update it if you have mined another one.
idk how they'd store the fuel then, you could like swap to another drill and make it take the fuel or smth funny. but it would be ideal yeah
Disclaimer: I don’t mine so what I say may or may not be completely wrong,
but wouldn’t fixing Compact and changing drill fuel make the ping reset issue even worse? Because even if you have Champion 10 on a sword it still changes nbt data every time you gain combat exp so wouldn’t it be the same for compact? Also the "making the issue worse" part comes from the fact that not just drills, but basically every Pickaxe would get affected by it (as long as it has Compact, but even if you have a gauntlet prob have Compact on it)
Yeah, fixing compact for gemstone AND changing drill fuel wont fix the problem. They would have to move compact somewhere (idk where, the server have to get the compact data from somewhere, which is best stored in the drill's nbt data). So yeah i would say they wont fix the compact...
One of the way to fix drill fuel that i can think of is putting the fuel in a new slot (equipped in a new slot, similar to equiment), maybe like "Portable Fuel Tank", and it will be an universal Fuel tank that work on all drills. Any drills that you use will take the fuel from there.
And yes, that will make your other drill fuel tanks obsolete, but i think you wont ever use 2 different drills at the same time (you use blue omelete for mining speed boost only, and even when you use it for mithril powder, you would still use just that.), at that point having 2 fuel tanks wouldn't do much.

If you armadillo mine it's not a problem so it's worth grinding drills but yea still very annoying
yea a 655 will still be better, but not by a whole lot (~5% from what i've heard). i'd max pretty much everything else besides like qc or recomb equipment

if compact worked on gemstones it would make gemstone gauntlets with compact update item lore (basically turn it into a drill so high ping players get kicked in the teeth even more)
I would love separate collections for different gemstones and maybe raise the final tier to 20m or something…

As a EU player, I understand the lore reseting your breaking animation issue way too well. Despite having a setup capable of making ~35m/h ruby mining, I'm artificially capped at 20m/h by my 120 ping and there's just no way I'm moving to America to break glass. My idea to fix this problem is to only update the lore of the item when you stop holding left click while still updating the fuel display above hearts. It would also be nice if that was the case with compact since it can also dramatically decrease your rates for mithril mining.
you could also update the fuel everytime you swap to a different item, such as etherwarping

I am the exact same! Ive tried for around 40 hours worth of ruby and have made pitifull amounts. Ive looked up so many guides for ruby and even paid people tens of millions of coins to coach me in ruby mining but nothing has worked. Thats why im getting magic find set of sorrow, 1k mp, e drag and base g- drag, a mage set, hyperion, dungeon setup then im outta mining. Fuck this I've never been able to do anything fun because of it.

I got compact 10 by powder grinding on my 655 and my counter is currently at 1.7m and my mods show it ticking up when I mine gemstones
the counter works for any block but it doesn't proc on gold and gemstones.
i swear the counter didn't work on gems/gold

Fuel in general should probably be removed imo, it has no sizeable impact on your profits so it's just annyoing to have to refuel every now and then

the drill fuel lore thing wouldnt work, because there's more than just the lore in the item's data (i hope you already know this) and where else would the game store how much fuel the drill has left if updating the item nbt wasn't an option? in the player profile itself? it wouldnt make much sense in my opinion. enlighten me if i'm missing something here

ping literally screws up mining, for example i'd make like 28-30m/hr with jade with my current setup, but because of constant 200-250 ping, it makes 15m/hr

@@Julius72958 in this case the item used switches status anyways from not being activated to being activated which still is an item update. So it probably geta tracked by this switch.
Im getting 150ms and ruby is making me 21m an hour with a maxed 655 and divan armor and quick claw bal because idk why (prob a skill issue idk) but the breaking animation likes to literraly reset some blocks I mine on and at the start of my mining speed boostsk,l preceeds to not break a gemstone I'm trying to break. Already I had to move from 37m an hour from Dillo to 21m with ruby, and I need to get another 600m collection before I'm saying frick this and selling my setup and actually being able to play the game because Right now, I have no motivation to mine even after all this work...
i love how dillo is the only method that eu/as players get to use. such great game design!

I would love it if gemstone and mithril powder were on the bz, like it would be a kinda cool money making method, and would save hours of players time. Like why add the different types of essences to the bz and not the powder. Plz hypixel add powder to bz:)
it would also inflate the economy more than it already has been since more people will be willing to mine gems now that they can just skip powder grinding.

The hotm reset cd and bob-omb changes NEED to happen. Both are brutally annoying and im not even a proper miner.

Hey there, thanks for bringing attention to the issues for high ping players! As a person that averages 150ms+ on a VERY inconsistent connection It's really good to have awareness brought to the issue, it severely impedes my coins/hour and is just plain infuriating. (Made worse by the fact that I play an Ironman profile!) If there was something I could change, I'd very honestly remove armadillo mining since it is a major source of toxicity and has had a tangibly negative affect on the game's economy. I also think that instead of drill fuel displaying in the drill's lore, there should be an item called fuel gauge that you can have to display it instead, that way the item doesn't update. either that, or only update drill fuel every 5 minutes or when the fuel runs out, or make it like your health number where it displays over your hotbar.
some item like that yeah. i doubt it'd be possible to update drill fuel every so often since it would have to store the blocks you mined somehow, and not on the item (which would make it not item specific, and there would certainly be some bug with this)
but a seperate item would be cool. as for dillo, i'm not going to copypaste my justification for it here, but i wrote an essay for someone else (doef bot) if you want to read my response to that comment

The ping is so bad that there are low quality server booming just for the fact that thair gamemodes are actually playable.
Bedwars is so dry on those server since its Just the basic plugin

they cant really afford to split the server into na , eu , asia servers
they dont have enough of each player. for example kuudra partyfinder theres alr only like 5 parties at one time if they split it by region there would be like 1 if that.
same thing with dungeons but probably to a lesser extent. if they had 100k players again it would work but rn i dont think they have enough players
@@linkplays2952 currently hypixel got multiple server in multiple locations they just all in one country.
The communication between those Server would be exactly the same like they currently are just the communication between eu server and na server would be over long distance causing a little delay.
Hypixel had troubles finding new servers some years ago because they where sold out so outsourcing 1 server to eu would solve that problem too.
I feel like such servers are necessary for skyblock especialy since ping checks like melody, racing and experimentation require a good connection that is denied solely because you are not located in the right country.
Bedwars, skyblock and other pvp gamemodes also give huge advantage to local players and huge disadvantage to overseas player which is limiting to competitive games.
@@Implodent hypixel launching an eu server would crush a lot of competition since thair only sellpoint is the server location.
@@linkplays2952 it would have to keep a lot of data localy since sending a Lot of traffic would pose problems in server side lags. But the already have a system that seperates different worlds and instances between different server.
So we would have instance 1-15 on the na server and 16-30 on the EU server.
Then we would prioritize the EU server for eu player and na for na player.
Then we could have a shared matchmaking that allows player to choose to play localy which is an advantage in popular games or play on a shared server in na.
We would have some laggy instances but the game would at least have the option to be played at all.
Currently european player avoid hypixel because no game could be played.
You pointed out that the matchmaking would Take long but i disagree on that. The hypixel server already has multiple instances in matchmaking that are handled at different locations and the matchmaking seems to work.
So when we move one server to the EU the amount of instances would stay the same, they just change location.
You know what even worse than not being able to ruby mine with high ping and a drill, being forced to arma mine :sob:
arma mining is fine if you get cords but it's slow to set up and not as fun but you don't get greifed sooo...
i love being forced to do one method because of ping!

In my opinion, the way the armadillo works right now is broken and just a dumb mechanic. I dont think the admins ever intended for it to be used this way eventhough they never actually managed to fix it after multiple reworks. I feel like jumping with the armadillo should also take energy from it which would completely fix it since I think its just a dumb mechanic that you can use it infinitely as long as you dont walk with it and use the rod pet rule to respawn it. I know im going to get like a milion cringy mining nons d*cking me down for saying this but armadillo shouldnt work like that
reading the description is hard man, i know. i hope you can overcome this difficulty within the near future
in a serious mannber, what do you have against it? it's a really high skill ceiling method that is one of the most complex methods, which is part of what makes mining fun (take for example, mfm and gold)
i know that top-down takes like no effort, so as a solution to that you could make the energy taken from doing said method 2-2.5x
then, the second problem with dillo is that it is FAR, FAR too easy to get into. It's utterly ridiculous. So, as a fix for this i would propose the dillo, instead of automatically instantly mining anything, it would take your mining speed, multiply it by 27 or 28 (while on the dillo) then if that speed could instantly mine, it will. otherwise, it won't. this makes it so that to dillo mine you need high powder or a 655, and in the case of x27 then you need basically hypermaxed stuff.
these changes preserve one of the most complex methods in the game, makes it less competitive and less toxic because less people can do it, and makes it higher effort. i know that people couldn't use it for comms, but what would you rather have? easy comms early game, or a really cool mining method on par with mfm and gold.

@@Implodent i see that since you're trying to give solutions rather than problems but that shouldn't mean it's not an issue. My problems with armadillo mining are:
-inflation (it's not the biggest reason but it definitely contributes)
-the way structures are being sold and people think because of that they "own" it (recently i got into a lobby to mine a few flawless sapphires for my armor, a guy came up to me and said I wasn't allowed to mine in 'his' structure because he already 'bought' it and that he was going to report me in your mining cult for 'griefing'. This is just completely ridiculous, I have as much right to mine there as anyone else)
-it completely destroys the concept of mining in my opinion (mining; break blocks with pickaxe type item. Armadillo; jump around like an idiot and destroy everything on touch. Which would be fine if it wasn't possible to do it infinitely)
These are the reasons i dislike it and so far I haven't seen anyone come up with a reason why it should be in the game other than "it makes me alot of money" which is not a good reason because you're looking at what's best for you when you should be looking at what's best for the playerbase/game in general

Yeah absolutely, everything you just said must be a result of a completely incompetent game designer. Except making the unobtainable pickaxe useful, it is not obtainable therefore an unfair advantage. Really all of the unibtainable items should be fully cosmetic.
i guess, i just liked how much of a niche meta it was.
maybe something awarded as a trophy item for reaching mining 60 that happens to have a high rarity and thus takes the same usecase.
i didn't really care about how you got it, just that's it's a seemingly useless trophy item but actually had quite a cool niche use.
