you can instamine by armour swapping too, instead of blue cheese swapping (not meta but it is an option)

Wishing compass won't work 100% of the time, I'd say like 1/8 lobbies don't have MoD.
A lobby closes if there are less than 4 people in it, so make sure to have 3 friends afk* when a lobby closes by day ~19. (Highest I've gotten without any friends is 26.8, I have no idea if there is a cap, probably 31-39 like Dwarven)
One shouldn't expect the same fortune as you, considering you had +50 from SkyMall. From what I can tell, 1,993.41 is max.
