  • Szarka of www.magpiegemstones.com shows how to use leather in necklaces. It can be adapted to bracelets and earrings as well. Magpie Gemstones carries top quality Greek leather and lacing as well as lots of big holed beads in gemstones, bone and pottery.

    people need to not be so rude and SAY anything negative about someone who is KINDLY taking the time to share their "know-how's" .....by commenting on someone's physical appearance......keep your negative comments to yourself please!!!! THANK YOU!

    Oh it's all good, to each their own! I need my nails to use as tools when I wire wrap and pick up teeny gems.

    "Very helpful! I'm not sure how you attached the leather above the crimped wire on the first one?"
    The beads are on a beading wire with a loops and the leather is just strung through the loop. You know the kind of loop you make at the end of a necklace for the clasp but instead of a clasp you put the leather through. Does that make sense? It is done just like the green garnet one I show where I do the surgeons knots.

    No, no, no - - - thank YOU for taking the time to make this and other videos . I have learned so much from you - - - (I'm a newbie). I just went to GoodWill today and bought a suede leather skirt to cut up to use when hammering earwires, which I saw you do on another video.

    how do you get one of those strings to go through a 1 or 2mm bead hole?

    • @SzarkaCartersss
      @SzarkaCartersss 5 лет назад

      You use the size of stringing material that fits in the holes or you drill the holes bigger.

    BTW the name of the knot is square knot. Just so you know. It's not really important to know the name! lol
