I have a 12 foot deep V aluminum boat, have you ever tested it on a boat like this? I live on a shallow river, so a jon boat would be best but for now the deep v is all I have. I really don't want to deal with buying a used outboard off Craigslist etc
It really depends on how deep the boat sits in the water. We’ve never used it on a v hull but I’m sure as long as the boat isn’t scraping the bottom constantly you should be fine. As far as handling and speed we couldn’t say.
Do you have to stand up with these or can you sit on the bench handle looks pretty long? Also are you having to hold it at the water depth you prefer or does it pretty much hold it’s own once your moving ?
It stays pretty stable once you dial in the tail, the fin on the bottom (skeg) needs to be bent depending on how your boat is riding and once it’s dialed it’ll sit right in the middle. Some people prefer grab handles if it’s super choppy or you’re in heavy timber. If it’s not dialed the motor will bounce all over and out of the wake making it impossible to hold steady. But it’s pretty easy to drive sitting down as well.
Suggestion. Either dump the loud music, or turn it down to the same level as your voice so we don't have to endure LOUD music to hear your voice. The music is FAR TOO LOUD.
Thank you for the suggestion, we are working on editing videos better and putting more effort into them. Unfortunately the software used to edit this video didn’t save when the volume of the music was changed and we didn’t realize until the video was live for a few days.
Thanks for another excellent vid!!!
The audio for the talking clips wasn’t loud enough, apologies.
Banging video - class 👑👑👑
Thank you!
How low was the transom to the water? I plan on putting the exact same hp setup on my 1432 and am wanting to figure out if it would be too much weight
Cool music
Yessir it’s : escalator by good morning

Hey man just got one for my deep v hull it runs perfect besides the turning but other than that it’s perfect for it

@@northernneckoutdoors3136 thanks dude I appreciate the info
how wide is this boat?
It was a 1432
How much does your motor weigh
Never had the chance to weigh it, not sure unfortunately
Yo - which brand of boots are you wearing in the final shot, and would you recommend?
Blundstones! And yes we highly recommend, they’re comfortable, durable and warm 👍🏽
@Northern Neck Outdoors knew it; I have the 501 - like walking on sunshine
How Lmaoo, my 670cc Vtwin runs 19
Ours is a 14ft and it’s relatively light. We also have a 10ft with a 212 that runs 20 with 2 people.
Because your motor is way too heavy
