Great assembly video! I sell these feather lite kits in Canada for $1650 Canadian dollars. They work great on the short shaft boats 15 or 16 inch transom!
I bought a mud skipper twister shaft. Using a stock Predator 224cc motor. Would just doing a carb upgrade and governor removal squeeze more power out? I no nothing about motors
Looks neat but appears for us catfishers the tiller handle is gonna be in the way when fishing from the rear of the boat. To bad there is not a way to tilt handle upwarda out of the way
Anyone know how this will do against limbs and logs? I hunt a lot of flooded hardwoods and don' t run into mud a lot, but I dodge floating logs and submerged fallen trees constantly.
Yeah I just checked also. That's a total rip off and none of it is marine grade. Some dude welding these in his garage. That will rust out in a few seasons. I could buy and old jetski with a working engine for that much and have an 80hp jet fishing boat lol.
@@Thirdplace4lifeI’ve had one for years, they’re aluminum any mine has held up great with a forged engine at 10k rpm they’re lighter than anything you can make or any other company. I guess just not for poor folks they’re really popular in Florida

I think the 5-7 hp twister kit would handle the 14hp motor a lot better with its braided drive cable

Edit: I went with the 16 hp Predator though.
I have this kit. It does pretty well with logs. Im designing a power trim for mine.
It's not as effective in super skinny water, as a long tail.
