Good info. I'm getting the 420 also for a fiberglass boat build. I've seen guys spin out with longtails, like a wave runner does when you crank the bars. They CAN make a sharp turn but it will take practice I'm sure. Cheers
I've been running a thai longtail from mudskipper for a month and so far I love it. It gets tons of attention too here in the northeast. Have you had to bend the skeg? I need to straighten it up because at fl throttle it liked to pull to the right
Good video! I wish I could afford a nice American longtail as well, but the cheaper that style works fine for me too. How are you liking the stage 1 upgrades? I am about to venture down the modification rabbit hole as well.
It definitely seemed to help the hole shot a lot. That low end torque will be nice if i need to jump up in shallow water or goose up over a log or something. The kit i got had a straight pipe that shot to the side but it was way to loud for me so i cut the 90 out and rewelded it straight backwards and added a can style muffler to cap it off. It sounds good on the water and won't make me go deaf!
@@ChrisFunktheFeralOne I understand, I like them loud but after about 2 minutes I am over it! Mufflers are a must for me now-a-days! Glad to hear that stage 1 was good for you. I am looking forward to modifying mine.
It handles much better on plane but if it is a super tight creek ya gotta be a bit careful for sure! I will drop the motor in and pull it like an oar to help spin the boat in tight spots.
Nobody answered you so I'll tell you what I've learned asking the same question because that's what my rivers are too. Carry a extra prop all the time and spend the money to get you a stainless prop!
sure clint, the walk through video of the boat has the best background and pics of it though. it only has the 6.5hp in that video and the 13 is a much better match. i put a pile of work into it but it is a fun rig!
the guy i sold it to is colton, i miss it on some days, but i spend so much time in a kayak or the big boat, this one didn't get used much. but when i did, it was spot on!
i wouldn't by anything from this company or mudskipper either...they are both actually business partners and the two companys in thailand are also brothers...ohh and mr dobbs is a dea agent...
Beautiful footage. Nice one.. stay safe my friend 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Been researching this topic for a few weeks dipping my toes in the water going to build myself one new sub good info
Excellent video keep them coming.

That's good info
Thanks man.
Check out a Robertsons Torque Tube Looped Header & a Disc Muffler. Excellent increase in torque & it’s nice & quiet

Do you like the swamp runner over the ppf?
Good video..i like
How is the turning on the thing if you get up in a tight creek like where you shot the vid? How do you get out of there?

will these kits long in super shallow rocky bottoms in rivers?

Where did you purchase your stage 1 kit from?

Can you talk about that boat and what you have done to it?

Does it come all together ?
no, it was a kit that needed some assembly but it wasn't difficult!
This is stupid but how do I get the handle if I’m buying the predator motor
the handle on the motor came with the swamp runner kit! the handle i am standing and holding on to in the boat was ordered separately
Taiwan Thailand?
nope UCLA, upper corner of lower Alabama.
