Welcome to the very first Tips and Tricks character guide of Street Fighter 6! If you don't know what these kind of videos are about, I go into excruciating detail on a character, everything they can do, and give you a bunch of tech to boot! Lots more to come so like and sub and all that and enjoy!
My favorite part about the down forward kick? Because it side swaps, if someone jumps at you while you are in the corner, you suddenly corner them instead.
Thank you very much to Junkfood Arcade for being the first ever sponsor on a character guide video! More combos and big guides to come so look forward to that
This is an interesting coincidence; I just bought the 2023 version of the Snack Box Micro a few days ago (the PS5 controller was killing my thumbs). Congrats on the sponsorship.
This is going to sound backhanded, but it's a genuine compliment: Thank you for speaking clearly and succinctly while taking your time in showing off what you're doing. There are a lot of guides out there with useful information, but so many of the commentators speak with mushmouth at lightning speeds while blazing through their demos. Just taking a few extra seconds to set up scenes and speak clearly about what you're doing while also repeating movements is so much easier to follow than someone who is rattling off jargon.
30 years old just barely getting into fighting games. I’m maining manon in sf6 and this guide is helping me get a grasp of the basics so quickly. Currently mid bronze but it’s so much fun applying set-ups, pressure, and basic combos from this guide. You’re a godsend for all the new players who wanna sink their teeth into these games for the first time
Yeah they do the lab and we benefit. Learn and level up and you'll enjoy the game at a deeper level with less time spent grinding the lab Not that you should avoid it but learn where you can! Be efficient and enjoy the game! 🎉
@@abrianiko8971 haven’t been playing fighting games super consistently but I did make it to high gold with Manon and had fun practicing chain grabs with king in tekken 8. I still drop my combos a lot, and maybe that’s why I lean towards grapplers, but I could climb the ranks more if I dug in again.
The thing I find interesting about Manon is how she can lose round 1, but win her gameplan. Round 2 is pretty scary when Manon starts with 3 medals. and Round 3 with 5 is in her favor.
Manons character design is so interesting, the mix of judo and ballet - who thought of that?? The vacuum moves are so cool. Very cool character designs in SF6 overall. The new characters are great.
It's perfect too cause the French are the biggest Judokas worldwide apart from Japan, so it all makes sense this character, with Ballet being French dance.
I've been devouring Manon guides/tips & tricks videos, and this was _easily_ the most helpful. Most people just run through the basic gameplan, I appreciate you sharing the more advanced/niche/gimmicky tech 😄
Thats the service I provide in these guides. Something for everyone. It'd be easier and honestly more profitable for me just to churn out "heres an overview" and be done with it, but guess I am built different
Something very notable about her heavy punch is that the first hit can cancel into supers. Meaning that is a great way to get a guaranteed level 3 outside of her hitgrab
It is clear how much you love this character. You talk about her moveset and gameplay with so much passion that it's such a joy for me to listen and watch the video despite not wanting to play her just yet!😁
This Video guide is like a treasure for new Manon players! Best Manon guide I've ever seen! 1. easy to difficult all combo 2. easy to understand every moves 3. easy to know Manon every good choices in all situation 4. even though English is not my first language I still understand all the content, Thanks a lot.
Spent the last week watching high level pro gameplay of Manon, watching tons of tutorials and sitting in the lab for hours... thought I knew 95% of her tricks. I ended up learning soooo much tech I had no idea about from this video. Well done!
Been watching Justin Wong destroy folks Manon, made me interested in playing her, so this video is right on time for me! Thank you once again, good sir!
I did not think I was going to watch all 48 minutes of this at the start (I have a short attention span), but you just made it so engaging and I couldn't peel my eyes away. Nicely done.
Something worth noting is while Heavy Punch is big big range and the party starter, throwing it out too much in neutral is dangerous since it isn't special cancellable, meaning you can't reactively cancel into Drive Impact off of it. So if the opponent Drive Impacts into your Heavy Punch you just need to hope it was late enough that you can recover on time from the swing.
About her corner oki, if you get there from poking around with max range LK or MK confirms into Rond point, you can also frame kill with cr. LK after a light RP and cr. MP after a medium RP respectively. That'll also let your b. HP hit meaty enough to give you the +8, though the timing is definitely a bit more precise. I was messing around with this last night, so haven't finalize the whole thing, but just based on numbers, it works.
After more testing, it's much better to use MK Rond Point. It moves forward more and usually guarantees you'll get both hits after max range st. LK. From there, you can whiff a cr. MP and recover in enough time for the b. HP to hit on the last active frame. You can also whiff 2 cr. LPs and recover in enough time to hit with the last frame of cr. MP, leaving you at +8. Unfortunately, unless you're point blank, you're too far for a b. HP, but you can go with st. MP as your link, which either lets you use the TC, leading to a mix up chance; drive cancel to get a combo/medal; or you can do another MK Rond Point or Degage and reset the whole situation. Doing 2 cr. LPs also recovers fast enough to connect with an LP command throw with no need to try to time it. Speaking of the command throw, in my testing, I found that it whiffs on the last active frame. When using st. MP to frame kill after MK Rond Point, a LP command throw whiffs, even though what the frame meter displays would tell you it should hit. Could be a system thing, though. Meaty throw would be rather savage in this game.
I feel blessed to have my main be the first big SF6 guide! Thanks Roofle, looking forward to coming back to this for the next few weeks as I get better
As someone who has never played a traditional fighting game and picked Manon because she looked and sounded cool this video and the rest of your helpful ones are a godsend.
This has helped so much! I've seen other Manon combo videos and overviews, which were still good, but your breakdown and explanation of the frame data made things click for me!
I've known your channel for a week now (guess the reason why) and i find your videos absolutely interesting and useful for a casual player like me (in his 40s). I love playing Manon and definitely want to improve my skills. It would be great to have some tips on matchups too! thanks and keep up the great work.
God, I love Manon. I was worried coming from Strive that I wouldn't find a character who would scratch that itch like I-No or Nagoriyuki, but Manon has been so insanely fun and it's incredibly helpful to have such a detailed guide. Especially the set-ups, those are going to help immensely! God this character is easily the coolest in the game
I loved this video! I've gotten better every day with Manon and I utilize training mode scenarios in 6more than I ever did in V. Thanks so much! I wanted to toss this out for the rest of us Manon mains. Not only is the ex hit grab great vs Blanka balls...but you can also parry a Blanka ball and immediately drive rush into heavy CG for a PUNISH COUNTER CG!! Not to mention a parry gives you enough time for a PC lp hit grab. Hope this helps y'all! Thanks again Rooflmonger!
hey man, i got to plat with manon and then paused and came to slowly go through this. not all the way through yet, but have been trying to incorporate a little bit at a time and weed out my bad habits. thanks for putting this together, it has been super helpful and easy to learn from.
44:55 is the combo I messed up on a few times day 1 (combo trial: intermediate 7 to be exact). What I found is you can go for the HP, HP instead of Back HP. You will pull them out the air into a re-stand and right into Manege Doré. If done at the right angle, you can even beat basic pokes. Loses to EX DPs, Back Dashes, and Vertical Jumps. Also since it’s a re-stand it breaks the damage scaling. Meaning base damage from the DI and/ or OD Grand Fouetté 2000-2300. The CG damage goes for 2000 at lvl 1 (basically 40+ percent damage all together). Also a nice gimmick is… if you get the hard knockdown with crouching HK, you can go for HP Rond-Point. It beats out pokes, back dashes, and vertical jumps. But loses to EX DPs and Block.
I've been struggling to get on with Manon, I love her 236P catching after juggles but she's just not as much fun as Marisa 😂 Or maybe I'm just bad with Manon! Hoping this helps! Big love as always roof

Great video. Earlier today I randomly picked Manon and did her combo trials, which really helped me understand this video. Your presentation is amazing, easy to follow.
This is probably the best guide to anything that I've ever seen in my life. Well done. I learned most of this stuff after labbing for 2-3 weeks, and this video still taught me some new tricks. Keep it up!
Manon was the first SF6 character i played - i was jazzed for a pokes/grabs hybrid character. But she is kinda rough to start the game with since she can be bullied.
