I wish you could send some of that pot roast over the Internet Bill. I miss my Dad too and his humour, and I have inherited his humour too. I will love your videos Bill you and Tali girl make me feel good.
I really take to heart what you say at the end. That’s why I take my family out tent camping. Virtual Reality has nothing on the real thing! Thank you for your videos, I love them!
Damn! That is some good eating! Going to have to try that salsa recipe. Bill, that was a fine video! I especially enjoyed you remembering your Dad and the music you used in the video.
Hey Dixon, another great video! I miss my camp and your videos help me get through it. Heading down to Lowesville, VA in a few weeks and I am cooking that roast. I have never done one with the mushroom soup. I always use broth. That looks much better than mine. Thank you!
It's a very simple yet delicious way to braise beef and even venison roasts Camp Cooke. I probably should've used the 14 oz can instead of the larger one. But Tali girl enjoyed the extra gravy. Thank you and Thanks for watching!
I was born in Portsmouth Va back 68 live there first 25 yrs of my life . Did lot fishing fresh water and salt water fishing between there and Nags Head . Lot hunting in Suffolk Va and Windsor Va and hunting in the swamps there. Move to southwest Va back in 95 love my mountains .But miss home still .love your videos .
Thank you very much for your videos Bill and much appreciated. I like your outlook on life and your enjoyment of nature and the wonderful world around it. Cali girl is a great companion to you, she is a beautiful dog.
I am with you! There is nothing like good firer in the evening on a cool night. The new chain on your saw went through the wood like butter. “ now that what I’m talking about” Lol I made the onion with butter and beef Bouillon cube on a open fire like I seen in one of your videos. That was the best thing I have ever ate even my cousin who is a mountain man loved it. Last week I cooked a roast in a slow cooker except I uses the Brazilian steak seasoning that I seen you use and that was very good gave it a richer taste. Thanks for taking the time for showing us all your recipes and How to have a good time around a fire. I have Been taking my granddaughter out in the open, camping, fishing she loves it. God bless you!
Another awesome show my friend thank you so much for sharing with us your right nothing better than deer camp . I thought I would see you in Richmond at the guy rally
Excellent video Bill! You remind me of me. I'm 68 years old now and have had 3 heart attacks so I can't do the things I used to by myself. But I get to go camping and hunting with my two sons once in a while. Like you I miss my Dad so much. He had me in the Kiamichi mountains of S hunting and fishing
You are just a year younger than me Roger. You have served three heart attacks! I am pleased that you get to get afield with your sons. Sounds like you and I both had Great Dads! I will be keeping you in my prayers. Thanks for watching!
HI BILL AND TALI GIRL. 🐕 GREETINGS FROM SOUTH CAROLINA. ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO. I COULD LOOK AT THEM ALL DAY. BE BLESS AND THANKS FOR SHARING AND LETTING THE WORLD IN.⛺🔫👋🌘🛀🚿🚜.
Hi girCecelia! Did you know that Tali girl's breed is the official state dog of South Carolina? She's a Boykin Spaniel. Thank you for watching and God Bless!
Damn it now ! That dad gum roast had me ready to put on 10 extre pounds !! Ha Ha Ha keep your tent poles up & your bed room flat.....see yea on the next one.
I loved this video Bill, back to nature and the simple life with your lovely Tali Girl. When will we see some new videos Bill? I suppose you have been too busy.
Thank you Colin! I had planned to head back to the mountains with Tali Girl to set up camp tomorrow. I had one chore left to do which was to clean the two chimneys on my house and the one on the little house where Joy lives. I discovered that the chimney on Joy's house had been damaged in the hurricane we had come through back in early August. So I have to repair that tomorrow. I hope to be on the road by Saturday at the latest. Great to hear from you my friend!
Another great video Dixon! Always enjoy! You've proven time and again you got the three traits that make a man a man; A HEART FOR GOD, LOVE FOR FAMILY, AND PRIDE FOR THIS GREAT LAND WE LIVE ON! God Bless you brother! This country needs more Warriors like you!
Dixon...well said in that last 2 minutes sir!! Very well said. Another great video. what were the temps in the tent when the temps outside were down in the teens?
Hi rbljackson! Thank you! Generally the temperature inside the tent can range from the 60s to around 80 if I really fire up the stove. Overnight with the stove banked right, and for good sleeping, the temp will be in the upper 40s to around 50. Thanks for watching!
Hello! The black handle kitchen knives are German made by Henckels. The four stag handle steak knives are from an Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation silent auction. I think they are made by Abbott of England.
Just a FYI. I was going to buy one that how I know this. Tupperware has a pull cord food processor in different sizes. They have some that are basically blenders and then other ones that have the chopper knives.
Hi Jeff. Thank You! The tent in this video is 12' long by 10' wide. The Porch extension is 10' wide by 5' out. 'Hope this helps to answer your question. Thanks for watching!
Hi Sissy, Ice will keep i my coolers for several days. There is a little village not too far away where I can restock. Thank you for visiting Tali girl and me!
Yes Sir Shane, it truly does! I haven't experienced below zero weather in camp, but near zero temperatures on a number of occasions. I burn mostly seasoned, dead standing White & Red Oak. Thanks for watching! Take care my friend!
Hi Jared. What part of Wisconsin are you from? We used to meet up each Fall near Eagle, Colorado with some fellas from Racine to hunt elk & mule deer. They worked at the paper mill there. One of my all time favorite songs is "Da Turdy Point Buck" by the Yoopers.
It look s like your camp fire tripod, is adjustable for different height s. If it is.....that s smart....And you eat, WELL. You have rocks, that act as brick s, to keep you fire inside, on DEAD GROUND so it won t leap out.......Smart.
Hi Paul. Welcome to the Pungo Prairie! I am so blessed to have you aboard! So, you are in Canada? I have so many wonderful Canadian friends. Saskatchewan all the way to Newfoundland. You have made my day with your multiple responses to so many of my videos. Thank You! Folks like you are what makes this whole RUclips thing worth the doing. God Bless You my Friend!
I wood (would ) place 2 peg s in front of you in front of your closed door, then with used beer and soft drink tin/cans, put in 1 marble in each, and run a line across the front, with the tins, hanging from it. Run your line through the top opening ring....That s your early warning system.....and it works.
