The longer they take to move about as a group, the more time it gives the hero to plan ahead.
McCall is extremely good, but Ralphie has the biggest set of balls on him. He went back into a store full of trained killers, only one of which was on his side, despite having no real combat skills of his own. My man has the loyalty of Samwise Gamgee in him.

One of the best movie scenes is the one with the sprinklers going and Denzel coming in and recharging that machine single handed - I love everything about how that was filmed. This fight sequence was brutal and intense as both characters are equally strong professionals. Any slight mistake by either one of them would get the other killed. Robert Mc Call overcomes using his wit and by luck.
At 4:20, there seems a part of the scene left out. As I remember, McCall first heats up the drilling device by the blue flame shown at 4:28, before drilling the villain into his head at 4:55. The music also seems to have a cut at this point.
To me Denzel is one of the best actor of all time because he plays these roles so well you actual believe that he is like this in real life. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017 to find me.

That hand to hand fight took over a minute. You could probably run through a Home Depot end to end in less time. A lot of absurd scenes in this movie but Rule of Cool prevails and those scenes actually elevate the movie even more.
yeah you could run from end to end down one of the aisles that go lengthwise through the store in idea conditions, but when you're playing a game of cat and mouse where the loser dies in the end and with potential booby traps at every turn, that probably wouldn't be the smartest idea.

I think he was too in the moment the fight happened very fast and both have very quick reaction times (McCall and bald guy). The bald guy was in fight or flight mode and quickly chose to fight. So calling for help was probably the last thing on his mind. He was angry about that first stab from behind with adrenaline pumping. Had he let his guard down even for a second to call for help Mcall couldve easily gotten the upper hand faster. Probably thought he could take McCall out by overpowering him, but McCall is too quick and cunning. He's the brains against braun and that dude found out the hard way 🤷🏽♂️
The music build up that starts at 1:05 is one of the best ever in any type of production…

The whole intensity, build-up, paired with the vengeance track in the back is beyond amazing. Easily the best equalizer is the first.
