Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?
I like how there are the scenes where he shows that he's not just a killer.
This is definitely a 10 plus!
10
Straight 10
Denzel Washington and Samuel L Jackson has that thing
Love seeing him with Dakota again after Man On Fire. Another one of his best.
Still my favorite Denzel movie, and Dakota was perfect in it. Did you see the alternate ending to it? I just saw it for the first time a few weeks ago.
yes his best along with training day.
The acting (and familiarity) in the opening scene with the subtle references to man on fire is next level.
Creasy bear
I wish....you had....more time....walks away without looking back. Stone cold. 💀
Man on Fire ,Training Day,EQ1,EQ2 and EQ3 are all pure GOLD
Don't forget The Book of Eli.
Don't forget Bone collector, Safe House, Magnificent seven, De javu as well .... brilliant actor.
Flight…
Don’t forget 2 guns
@@alejandromaganatribalero97092 guns is slept on but that movie is too good.
"What do you see when you look at me?"
When that little smirk turn to fear for that half second. Gives me shivers every time.
No movie tough guy has anything on Robert McCall.
Not Wick. Bourne. Bond. Rambo. McClane. Reacher....etc.
ray shoesmith?
Was a legend in my childhood and still is, what an actor
I really love the little mannerisms that he uses, the way he takes his time, that makes his character appear even more menacing - the way he dips his tea bag, the way he taps is cup, the way he closes the door three times - It's like the lights in the room suddenly dim and the criminals realise too late that the Devil is visiting. They have made their choice, their bodies and souls are already his and he will get to them in his own sweet time to collect. You may as well call and book the Hearse now - There is no hope - It is as good as done.
🖤😆🫶
Reads like an AI prompt. Think I'll give it a try 😊
Reading this gave me chills holy moly 😂
He has extreme ocd as well so that explains all the little things he so precise about...including a routine 💯‼️

"You don't know what DEATH IS!" -Chills, Denzel is the finest actor of our generation. Glory being among my faves of his.
Tom hanks for 1, Tom cruse, Morgan freeman and Jamie Foxx
Denzel is one of the finest actors EVER
He was but he’s had a stroke that’s why I said he’s half the man. Have a good look at his last movie. Does he do any action or did he sit in the chair the whole time?

Man on fire is probably my favorite movie with Denzel!! Best actor of my day
Dakota Fanning, remarkable as well. Great movie.

When I was growing up in the 70s, Clint Eastwood (amongst others) made these movies... but they were predominately unidimensional, and the 'actors' weren't terribly strong. Denzel took this genre to another level... one with multiple dimensions and thought. He is one of our finest actors.
I see the similarity to Clint Eastwood but as an actor Clint brought a totally different vibe, not necessarily because of his acting on the movie he was in, but because he also played in such variety of roles that the audience knew him in a way that reacted differently than audiences react to Denzel. Clint did movies like "Two mules for sister sarah", and "any which way but loose" which meant he had a different vibe even when he was in a western like "The good, the bad and the ugly."
To me, Charles Bronson was closer in style to Denzel. Charles Bronson was the harmonica player "Once upon a time in the west". Whenever I heard that harmonica, I got chills. Similarly, when Denzel checks his watch. They each have their individual mannerism that shows you, this guy is trouble.
You need to check out the Ray Shoesmith character in the Australian mini series 'Mr. Inbetween'......a multi faceted character who takes menacing to a whole new level.
I love all things Denzel. He’s one of the best actors ever. I am obsessed with his Equalizer movies… need I say more!! 😊❤
Denzel’s voice does SO much. There are multiple people in his voice and he can reveal them all in a single sentence.
That's what you Call A Great Actor 😊
My God, Denzel is such one of the best actor we have the chance to see and appreciate.
all of these movies i loved, i hope there is another in the works. denzel is iconic.

Everything has two sides, like a coin. The change good or bad brings change in both realms good and bad and you have to deal with both. If you're not prepared, you lose.

Denzel Washington is one of the great Americans that we have been exposed to thru movies. He shows us who he is in hundreds of subtle ways on screen. His eyes, his mannerisms, his dialogue. Watch him closely to see
You realize he’s an actor right?
He’s in a class by himself
I dont care if its EQUALIZER 10000 i will watch every movie!
Unfortunately, 3 is the last and no other actor will ever portray the character so perfectly.
I agree with multiple sequal man - the Washington of movies ❤ Brilliant to the power of 10 ❤
😂I know that's right
I'm normally not a fan of endless sequels, but I could watch Denzel calmly kill evil people until the day I die.
His son might be able to take this role if not his grandson who knows 🤷🏾♂️
You asked me what I saw when I looked at you, what do you see when you look at me... this line is so cool
I recently lost my daughter n his words of wisdom help me immensely "God gives His strongest soldiers His toughest battles"well Mr.GW he's given me a doozy, admire your work n inspirational words,it helps ❤

Kudos to all the stunt choreographers, the special FX team and the slick editing plus constant rehearsal to get the scenes as realistic as possible. It is NOT just about Denzel.
How fitting this movie directed in a way like tragic Opera. He cut him loose knowing the pumping of his heart would kill him faster. Then watched him take his last breath after that man did the same to hundreds of others. How befitting a death. You reap what you sow! Bravo!
These films are the embodiment of the quote :
Beware of an old man in a profession where men usually die young.
Old warriors did not get old by accident; they got old by being wise, having the right knowledge, and being tough. Never underestimate an old man who has grown up in a rough profession or a rough environment.
These men have been around. They have done things, and experienced things, that you probably have never even thought about. They are tough, their minds are tough, and they have the knowledge, the skill, and the will to finish you off, if you force them to do so. A boy will fight you, but a older man will hurt you.
( I love that these films are the only ones Denzel cared personally enough about to do a series of. He has refused all sequels of any of his other work. )
Terry Pratchett would right “always remember rule one.” What’s rule one? If you have an army, and you’re armed to the teeth, and in front of you is one little old man smiling, run screaming, he’s about to end you.
Cringe as fuck but fits this movie.
Not very bad but also not good. Imagine the main character could get wounded (no not the crappy start) i mean like for real in a battle but nope. Its really boring because somehow you know there is nothing to stop him.
@@Threat_LvL why would there be anything to stop him? he ain't got shit to lose. his entire family is gone. if he wants, if he chose to go full scorched earth, you know he will stop at nothing to do it. it applies in real life too, cringe as it is. because people with nothing to lose don't feel afraid of losing.
In these scenes in the real world, the hero would be dead before the second line.
Please Shut up boomer
" Hey Mr MaCaul. Why me? But Why me?" That is a effing heart breaker and should shame a lot of us fathers to the core.
"what do you see when you look at me" is my favorite line.
I can't decide if I'm sad that he never gives a straight answer to Nikolai. We definitely get an idea about the answer, but in typical Maccall/Denzel fashion he talks around the question, dangling hints and suggestions and letting your mind fill in the details.
The finger guns right b4 picking up the mandalorian child was a pure power move.
There are two kinds of pain in the world, the kind that hurts and the kind that alters. Another of my favorite McCall quotes is when you pry for rain you have to deal with the mud.
throughout the 3 movies I gotta say, the scariest ive seen mcCall, to the point you'd think it was a horror movie, was when he killed Marco in Equalizer 3....
the way he broke his arm and twisted that thing all the way around to have Marco stab himself with his own knife, the way he forces him to look mcCall in his eyes. that face at that moment... holy sht. Denzel is the ONLY actor id legitimately believe if I heard "he has been places and done things". just that dead look in his eyes. the way he turns from a caring smiling man to the embodiment of the Grim Reaper is insane. the music score playing during the Marco kill is very subtle but very telling too, how it goes from sounding like a big fight is about to start to those strings and choir just dropping down and it starting to sound like a horror track. awesomeness
COMPLETELY AGREE
Our whole life is a horror for most of us. Yet we live, we reproduce, we continue to wage war, we continue to kill. Where is this great world peace that everyone talks about? Denzel, for me, is a great actor.
Denzel is the greatest male actor of all time, I said it.
I ABSOLUTELY AGREE
DEFINITELY AGREE!!
Agreed.
Agreed!
No way! Justin Bieber.
"You don't know what death is! "and his face as he saying that...good God...GOAT !!!!
Damn, Denzel is the man! Such an amazing actor, I feel like he really is this man he is playing.
"I'm your father, your mama just didn't tell you."😂
One of my FAVOURITE actor of all time.
Denzel was never scarier than in TRAINING DAY. He was downright evil.
One of my favourites
Yes and coincidentally he won the best actor oscar for a character that perpetuates a stereotype. AND Denzel IS a great actor. Both things are true
In the restaurant when he said he’s gonna break his promise in the first equalizer than focus that promise that determination that moment letting the monster out when men do that they become something else
Facts. True sociopath
I hated him in that role, that's how you know he's a great actor. He was diabolical 😈😈😈😈
They need to do non stop equalizer movies. Love the different locals. Most entertaining actor ever.
21:00 bro says “you think you know me” like he didn’t literally just lay out the guy’s whole life story on him.
To be fair that question still works
BEST EVER I LOVE THIS MAN NOT JUST FOR ACTING, BUT AS AS A FANTASTIC HUMAN BEING
This crazy world needs more guys like Robert McCall.
They are out there. They do their work in the dark, not in the light
@@a.edwardsnycta5785 In other words, they exist, they are active, but we don't see them ?
@Netopyr001 We see them everyday in plain sight, just not when they're doing their deed
What do you see when you look at me that line gets me.❤❤❤❤
That scene with the Russian in the restaurant is one of the coldest lines ever in history the scene is so gangsta
When McCall gives you the chance to stop and reconsider, just take it.
Gangsters are stubborn and they'll continue that way until the gates of hell welcome them
I'll be forever grateful for the man who did the same to me when I was a kid. Now I make a living with my music. Ain't looking back.
Glad to hear just pay it forward
I wish to meet Mr. Denzel someday in person. I believe he is a good person both in life and work. ❤
Denzel Washington is one of my favorite actors, he plays one badass man.
*Fans often say we need a prequel series to the Equalizer movies & that is impossible because there is legit no other actor on earth on Denzel's level.*
His son is getting there
Nah, Willow Smith could def do that! (Sarcasm)
I think Lakeith Stanfield from "The Harder They Fall" embodies the energy of a younf Equalizer. Very deadpan but cold but humorous when need be. Never ignoring being cold bloocalland precise when called for.
It would be really interesting to see how he became what he is
Arguably, the top actor of our time.
Ngl, it took me so long to finish the 3rd one because I felt like it was a slow start. But it was great overall. Loved the ending! And loved how him and Fanning were working together again!
I beg the difference this movie is ageless the fact that his skills as a killer are unmatched . This one line makes all the difference. But for you I make an exception ❤❤❤
Just one more movie!! PLEASE!!!!
Of course, " God's First " Denzel Washington such entertaining ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️from Australia 🇦🇺 with Love
Nicole where are you. I want to see you
I like this Man, and His words are so well articulated, body by body, dollar by dollar brick and brick
what really bothers me is NOBODY realises that the lines they speak are the script writers words..SO a really good film or series has really good script writers.THEY are the real stars

Denzel repeatedly calls his wanna-be gangster costar "Yummy" or "Lil Yum Yum."
This is a reference to Robert "Yummy" Sandifer, (b.1983-d.1994) aged 11 at the time of his death. Yummy was a member of the Black Disciples, who was convicted of felony armed robbery at 10 years of age. By 11, his gang gave him a pistol and ordered him to shoot up a target. In the process, he shot and killed 14 year old Shavon Dean- an innocent bystander. In the public outrage that followed, Yummy was moved from gang house to gang house to evade the police. After four days, the Black Disciples couldn't stand the intense scrutiny and executed Yummy under an isolated train viaduct. Welcome to Chicago.
poor kid
Wow
Yo Thankyou for sharing that 💯
So wrong. Its about stopping your bad behavior.Abd becoming a christian.Ask God and lord jesus christ to come into your heart and be your personal savior. Its not your to even get evil.Give it to God.
Knew about Yummy(1983-1994) through Pac (1971-1996,Rip) which his death moved him deeply and made him very upset
Love the interactions, the scene between him and miles… hits hard
A man who has nothing left to lose is a man who is the most dangerous thing in the world
I'm on my way
I love his character. The first 2 are my favorites. My wife never saw The Equalizer...she LOVED it. Then we looked for & found 1 & 2. "Is he making any more,)?" she asked. I replied I hope so.
Denzel has got to be one of the best actors to date. Another was the legendary Japanese Toshiro Mifune.
Denzel is a great man and a great actor. In all his films he is real, fighting evil.
When Denzel presses his watch - you're dead 😅
Denzel's mannerisms, like pressing his watch, or the multiple scenes in restaurants where he drinks tea so meticulously, or in some instances you see him straightening out his napkin, or moving something into a precise position on the table, tapping his teaspoon so it won't drip, folding his napkin. I just know he is a psychopath on the inside by these mannerisms, so when he talks quietly, or smiles, grins, its horrifying.
In a world where so many suffer under those who seem to get away with everything without punishment, heroes like this provide us with some relief. That's the point of these movies. They're not about vengeance. They're about karma, about the dark ones getting what's coming to them. And we get to see it! No one gets away with murder. Sooner or later, in this life or in another one, you reap what you sow. It's inevitable. It's universal law, which is inescapable.
@Eyologist Yes quote from the Bible,
"Be sure your "sins" will find you out"...Numbers 32:23. If not in this life,
in this life or in the next one, you will reap exactly what you sow. It's inevitable...
Sadly reality is much more disappointing, *looking at Henry Kissinger*
Yes to watch in real time injustice get corrected
I love how it’s made VERY clear that when he’s “working,” McCall is no better than the people he destroys. There’s an obvious sadistic, psychopathic streak in him that comes out whenever he’s on the hunt. It’s why he can stare at a person he’s just killed with no emotion in his eyes while watching the light leave theirs. Sometimes even counting down their last seconds or humming a tune.
It’s not the viciousness that makes him the hero. It’s the fact that unlike his targets, he actively tries to rein in his worse nature and be a better man, often going so far as offering those who wrong others a chance to choose a better path themselves before it is too late.
He is a necessary evil who wishes he didn’t have to be. It’s such a simple character executed with immaculate precision.
@@OneBiasedOpinion "it's all about getting "it" on the right side of the fence! Good vs Evil? McCall is one of the "Good Guys" who knows waaay too much about how to quickly dispatch those "evil-doers"..
"I don't have a lot of time. Which means you don't have any."

Right at 22:25 is where Nikolai realizes who he’s dealing with and right then Robert said that’s all you need to know and left. Denzel in the serious is unreal
"You don't know what death is!"
Wow, what a line.
When you watch the movies in order consecutively you don't really notice how much he ages, having two scenes play back to back, 1 from the 3rd film and then from the first allows you to see the contrast
I’m start saying “ I’m preparing you” lol 😂 I love Denzel
Yes. I am happy to say: Yes, Denzel is a great, great actor.

Denzel should set up a camp to train boys/young men in the same way he tested this young kid. He did manage to get him straight.
I didn’t realize I like Denzel, at least more over other actors.. until I noticed that a lot of the movies that I like.. a lot of them are his.
