    JR! I live in Bend OR and ran into Chris and Roger downtown. That trailer strikes up good conversations! I offered Chris and Roger my lawn to stay in that night. We drank alot of beer that night and had great laughs. They accepted and I learned alot from them about ADV riding. I have a F800gs like your son Mikes.
    Anyway, Chris and Roger still keep in touch with me and as you know, they are great guys as well as your an inspiration to all of us ADV riders.
    Thanks!
    Corey

      What a great community ADV riders are. Roger is very interesting guy and has a lot of outdoor and life experience. We had a good ride. Thanks for sharing that. Bend is a cool place.

    JD, I have DR 650s and a KTM 790 Adventure. I'm 67 yrs old and I prefer my DRs to the 790 for BDR and most ADV riding. I even take my wife 80% of the time. Camping gear is just a tent, headlamps, 2 backpacking sleeping pads and bags. We take a pair of pants, shoes and toiletries. We go everywhere any ADV bike goes. Been riding DRs for 18 yrs this way. The KTM is the Adventure Tourer. Hope to meet you some day.

      That's cool. I get the itch to try a newer bike sometimes. Not really necessary!

    Great video, super to see your videos again. That WABDR is a tough one on a big loaded bike!

    Did the BDR last year in September and section 5 that Moondust almost a foot deep with the rocks in the bottom of the rats I definitely ate shit there. My girlfriend followed me in a jeep and she came up to me as I was getting back up, she said I look like the Michelin man.

      Hah! Was rather extensive and most unpleasant track. The hidden rocks and deep. Imagine if it rained! Thank you for sharing your experience.

    It's a little difficult to find riders wanting to camp with a 70 yo Himalayan rider..... I go solo usually...,

      @jrdepew  10 месяцев назад +1

      Congratulations on doing it anyway. I do a lot of solo camping in this series.
