I honestly prefer when they go off on tangents and explore rabbit holes on these podcasts. It just seems so raw and real and unscripted and perhaps the most true form of Rhett and Link that we can get and it’s why we love them.
*I totally agree!* I wish they wouldn't stop themselves. *They need to just go with it!* I love podcasts now (it's very in now. Everyone has a podcast now). When they started EB, I didn't expect to like it that much and now I love it! *So raw, unfiltered, uncensored* (by YT standards), etc. I love how *humble* they are - they never talk about being *multi-millionaires.* I feel *I'm sitting there talking WITH them.* I put this on as I fall asleep usually so *every night they're getting a view from me on a few videos!* lol (Sorry for MY tangent) :P
And some dogs are cats, and vice-versa. My cat does not live the life of a cat, he lives, but he lives like a dog. He takes my dad for walks sometimes.
I just love it when they start to get on each other's nerves and go head-long into an old married couple spat. I LOVE IT! They are going to be cutest old grandpas ever! I'm old enough to be their moms, so I probably won't be around to experience that cuteness, but I can just imagine how sweet it will be...
My dog passed away yesterday. And seeing this video today is just...wow. I mean what are the chances. He lived a full life, he was 13 years old. However, it hurts a great deal. More than I could've ever imagined. And all I want is just to hold him again. I'd give anything. Treasure every day with your dogs guys. We really don't deserve these little angels🐶🐾🐾❤
Wow me too, my dog of 13 years passed away a couple days ago. I understand your pain and I hope you are doing better, it seemed he lived a long happy life! ❤
I was going to say that sexting is traditionally done with phones, not birthday cards, but I guess when you destroy your phone by submerging it in water, you have to work with what you've got.
😲🤯Totally expected a fight in the replies. I'm pleasantly surprised there isn't! Thats awesome. I feel like if this was any other RUclips channel, there would be an argument and all that. But I always noticed that the fans of Rhett & Link, for the most part, are pretty respectful, mature, etc.😇 My bad for sounding cheesy or cringy but I had to! 👌🤙
this was such an amazing episode. all the random topics and how they led to eachother. It really felt like i was part of a natural convo between two best friends 😊 few thoughts: 1. Link i am so glad you had a great birthday; and, Rhett kudos on the card and gift you clearly were a highlight to Link's day/party. You made him so happy. 2. Sorry about your phone Rhett i hope you have a full functioning phone now. One that recognizes you face and everything else. 3. when my cat died from being attacked by 2 dogs it was 9 years before i was able to get another cat. My new cat is now strictly an indoor cat i dont want to risk it being killed by a dog or something else. too painful to loose a pet that way. 4. I am glad your dogs are both okay, and that Jade was able to get emergency care and is feeling better 5. Love you both. I love Ear Biscuits. This is the only podcast I listen to. I love your conversations and the thoughts you have. I often am thinking about the topics days after. Thank you for letting us eaves drop on your converstations once a week. 😁❤
Overlap definitely helps. It's a much easier transition from two+ dogs to one dog than one to zero. I experienced that with my first dog. We had two of her puppies that were five-ish when she passed. It was still devastating but at least the house wasn't silent and void of the sound of paws click clacking on the floor. My current dog Tater is her grandson. We still have his mom and uncle. I'm going to be wrecked when Tater passes. He just turned 7 and he's my whole world. He's genuinely my best friend. Maybe tied with my husband. I also experienced this with my rats. I had 7 girls and I'm down to 2. When our oldest girl Eleanor died, it was heartbreaking. She was the sweetest creature I've ever met. Literally. She loved everyone and every thing. All she wanted to do was give kisses and get snuggles. That was months ago and I still choke up thinking about her. I know the remaining two don't have long either. It's going to be so strange to be rat less.
Jade is the cutest little thing in the world right now. And all i needed tonight after the day i had. So glad to hear both Barbara and Jade are safe and sound❤❤
So we have two dogs because we wanted two. One was five when we got the other. The second dog died at age seven while our first dog was still alive. For me, it was almost sadder because not only was I sad, but my dog seemed sad: she often seemed to be looking for the other dog and didn't really seem to understand that that dog was gone and not coming back. It took me months and months to even consider getting another dog, but I think I will one of these days. That being said, I still miss the one who died and can be brought to tears when I think of him. It's a special kind of love. No, not the same as a child, but it is still a love worth having and worth mourning when it is gone.
I didn't mind you didn't start talking about the dogs until 47 mins in because I was not particularly excited about the topic of dog deaths but I hoped for the stories at the beginning. You delivered 😊
Our family has had a few dogs in the past 25 years. We lost one at 12 years old just a month ago and it devastated us...but one dog that I was SO close to, that we lost 15 years ago still brings me to tears when we think about her. She was so special. Sadly, part of owning a pet is losing that pet. It's heartwrenching because they're such a huge part of your life. But we still love having a dog in our lives, knowing that one day we're going to lose them. They give us (hopefully) years and years of love and cuddles before they pass.
My family and I had the same dog for almost 4yrs until he got sick and died. 5 yrs later we adopted a rescue dog and the way he looks at us and connected with us was so amazing and scary. We’ve accidentally called him our past dogs name and he’ll respond without any hesitation. It’s incredible to think that after so many yrs we found a dog that just seemed meant to be. We’ve had him for about 3yrs now and it’s been the best 3yrs for all of us
I have white spitz and she is 17 years old. She is in great shape for a dog of her age but everyone in my family knows that she may die soon. About a year to year and a half ago our family got another dog, a smaller white spitz. We actually got him for free, the owner literally came up to my step mom, while she was out walking our dog, and said, "do you want our dog?" Having 2 dogs has been great and I think it has given the old one more energy. It is great to see our 17yr old dog beat the 3yr old in tug of war or fetch. Even at 17, she is still the top dog in the house!
When my dog Molly passed away I was so devastated. I used to be the person that made fun of people that cremated there dogs but I ended up being one of those people. When I got her urn back I was more easy about it. This is weird but in ways it felt like she was back home where she belongs.
Me too. I put my dogs urn in the window we used to call “doggie TV” because she’d spend so much time looking out of it. I was so worried about how they would treat her at the crematorium, silly though that may be, and it was such a relief to receive the urn, hand painted and beautifully packaged.
That's exactly my experience. My only dog I've ever had passed less than a week ago and i was a mess for 3 days (i couldn't stop crying) but when i picked up her cremains i felt relieved - like you said - like she was back with me where she belongs.
1:09:32 I am 12 yrs old and I have only had 2 cats yet I will never forget what type of impact they had in my life. Both of them were rescues that I found. My first cat was snuggles and I will never forgive the demons that ended up poisoning not just my cat to the point of death yet thay also almost killed my grandmother's dog. She ended up dying a few weeks later. Aspin was my second cat who just recently died. She was ran over by a car 2 years after I found her. The pain I feel is immense because if I simply watched them better I could have saved their lives. I hope they lived at least a decent life out of the time they were here with me on earth.
1:42 When Link asked Rhett if he'd execute Barbara for Oprah I accidentally paused the video making it seem like there was a long pause in Rhett's response. I got worried there for a minute. LOL
I've been living under a rock apparently cuz I just realized these were now on their own special channel. I don't usually turn on alerts for things, but y'all'r special enough for it, I guess.
Overlap is a good idea. I lost my Kaya and she was an only dog and it was hard enough losing her, but to all of a sudden have no dog in the house made it so much harder.
What I learned when I was little was that all pets go to the rainbow bridge where theres basically a “pet heaven” and they wait there for you to die, then you both walk across the rainbow bridge together into heaven.
Losing a pet is never easy. I made fun of people who did not stay with their pet when they are put to sleep. Until I had to have my last cat euthanized. I held him as the drug was administered and felt his last breath leave his body. I was totally messed up. I was not ok for weeks, but eventually I came through his loss. And I know it will be hard Rhett and Link but you will too(of course many years in the future!).
I seriously can't stand it when there's a dog in the video and instead of enjoying the cuteness, people find something negative to comment about the dog. They throw these really serious false allegations at the dog owner, like saying the dog is malnourished, feeding them too much, being to ruff (ha!) with the dog, not giving enough attention, etc. It's so ridiculous! Just watch and enjoy or LEAVE!
Hey guys ear biscuits idea, "how we work out" where you discuss how you approach exercise in your 40s, your workout mindset, and any interesting contribution exercise has added to your lives. Just an idea :) have a nice day guys!
I spent a whole week knowing that my dog was dying not wanting to except it and I missed school to give her all the love I could and we decided to put her down because she was too sick
We just lost our cat 2 days ago. She was very much my cat. She picked me when she was a kitten and it's just been so so hard. I'm still crying on and off. I know its dumb but I like to think she is off somewhere better over the rainbow bridge.
my dog died like two months ago during finals time in school and i basically shut down just like link said he would. my grades suffered a great bit but it was just so horrible losing him bc he was only 9 years old :( this just reminded me again oof i hope jade and barbara can live as long as possible
I wanted to watch this episode but it instantly broke my heart. I know how it feels for a dog to die especially when you have developed that love and bond with them. A couple months ago I lost my dog and it sent me in to a "depression ". I cried constantly, I became isolated and cut off from people, when o had to be at work o had to force myself to be happy and present when all I wanted to do was cry. It's not a fun experience. I hope you guys dont have to deal with it for a while.
My dog almost fell off a 3 story building once. He was always so aggressive and liked to bark at nearby people. And when we lived on the top floor that had a large balcony area, he liked to bark at people from up there. Once he jumped on top of the railing (which was like a foot wide railing) and almost fell forward. He didn't stop barking though, and eventually he came back down. If a dog is a reflection of their owner, then he represents my stupidity very well.
My basset hound Madison is my first dog. About two weeks into getting her, years ago, I was trying to wake her up to go out. She was taking tiny breaths and I didn't see her breathing from afar. She was ignoring me. Thought she died in her sleep. My bro squeaked a toy and she instantly woke up with a BIG yawn while my ass was already in tears. She's so lazy and does literally nothing but I love her to death.
They used to have guests on during the original format, but in recent years they've switched to it being more about the two of them just talking to one another and saving the guests for GMM instead.
I wouldn't know what to do if my dog died. He's a husky mix, grew up to be the smartest dog i've ever owned and the oldest so far. He's been with me for literally almost every one of my relationships and all my college and work years so far. I'd have to get another husky. there's no way around it. i've become too attached to that breed.
hey i know this was posted in 2019, and i just wanna say i dont blame rhett for saying that having a pet and a child is not the same thing, but i grew up close with an aunt that was infertile. she tried for so long to have kids of her own, before finding out she was infertile and was devastated. after some time as she was coping with the reality of things, she got dogs, 5 of them. And really, really treated them like they were her kids. to me too, they are family. she even said to her, they are her children. she'd wipe their paws after walks, wipe their mouths after meals, they all share a bed. they even went to school. and dog university cos that's a thing. seeing how she treated her children with such love, made me reflect on my own less than pleasant experience in a broken home, and i really did see it as.. oh yeah they are a family. they're kids to her. so i think to a lot of people like my aunt, or a lot of people who have a fear of childbirth but wants to pour their love onto another, but aren't open to adopting kids, they adopt pets and see them as kids.
Rhett: "he cried for his friend- that's a high level of empathy" Me: *sobbing for both Rhett and Link over the theoretical death of their pets* yeah that's a lot of empathy
I don't wanna think about that! They aren't my dogs but they are part of the mythical family. When they are with y'all they make you so happy! Y'all totally go in daddy mode and gush all over them which is so cute. I hope they life for a long time.
0:56 😳When Link said "Here's the secret" I didn't know it was him at first. I was so confused! 🤷♀️ lol I had to go back a few times cause I was so creeped out lol!! 🤯💯😂🤦♀️
When my cat has some kind of problem, stung by a bee, knee problems, and what not, I realize that if this is scary and difficult, imagine how MUCH harder it would be if it was your child!
1:15:34 lol we say that all the time at my house. My dachshund Daisy was our only "dog" until about three months ago. And we often say we got her a dog lol not us.
WTH?! You made this episode and it manifested MY little dog's death. She passed very unexpectedly overnight on July 6th at 12 years old (way too soon in my opinion.) Only kidding - it's not your fault, and i do feel like this episode helped prepare me for it. I appreciate that. (I blame you a little.) Her name was Lucy. I miss her fluffy face.
I don't want to think about the pain i will be in when my pups go on to the Rainbow Bridge. I can't let my fear, anxiety and pain stop me from giving whatever pups I can get my hands on, the best life possible. Dogs may only be here for a part of our life, but for them, we are their WHOLE LIFE. We are their whole world and if I can let a pup live a good life, even if I know they will leave me too soon, I will take that responsibility. I love pups. We have 3, but have had 5 throughout my husband and my marriage. We don't have children and our pets are our entire world. I agree that a pet's problems don't necessarily compare to that of a child, because they are different in their life experiences. A pet won't go through being bullied at school, but a child you can explain what's happening. You can talk them through it. When they are scared to get their tonsils out, you can explain what's going on. You can comfort them. When a pet feels fear going to the vet, but you can't explain that it's a good thing for them. You can't explain why they are feeling pain or fear. You can't comfort them and tell them they will heal and feel better. You also can't communicate with them when they are sick. You can't ask what's wrong. As a non-human child owner, I believe that pet owners can feel the same pain, frustration, etc... that a parent would to a human child, but in a different way. We will never have human kids and the pups we have are our entire world. We can make a difference. I firmly believe in shop, don't adopt because there are SO MANY PETS in shelters, who deserve a good life, who didn't ask for what they got and who will be just as good a pet as a top breed, $4000 dog would. Peace * Love * Paws
A dog's mortality is initially based on size. But other factors include food types, and how interaction and play fits in (happy pet, happy life). We had a dog who was a mix (the best breed imho) of chihuahua, lhasa apso, and scottish terrier who lived 16 years. So it's possible for a forever doggie too there is a company who can take a biopspy of your dog and create a close to clone (not for free of course).
I honestly prefer when they go off on tangents and explore rabbit holes on these podcasts. It just seems so raw and real and unscripted and perhaps the most true form of Rhett and Link that we can get and it’s why we love them.
Yes indeed!! That's the BEST!
love the rabbit hole eps!
Very well said.
Agree 100%
*I totally agree!* I wish they wouldn't stop themselves. *They need to just go with it!* I love podcasts now (it's very in now. Everyone has a podcast now). When they started EB, I didn't expect to like it that much and now I love it!
*So raw, unfiltered, uncensored* (by YT standards), etc. I love how *humble* they are - they never talk about being *multi-millionaires.* I feel *I'm sitting there talking WITH them.* I put this on as I fall asleep usually so *every night they're getting a view from me on a few videos!* lol (Sorry for MY tangent) :P
hey bud b
"All dogs die but not all dogs truly live" - Link Neal 2019
Thank you Link for not only spitting words of wisdom but also making me sad lmao
It's so true tho! It applies to all kinds of animals, including humans.
@@BeeTeaDubs very true
And some dogs are cats, and vice-versa. My cat does not live the life of a cat, he lives, but he lives like a dog. He takes my dad for walks sometimes.
Per usual, Link makes no sense lol.
the surprise and joy i felt when link pulled jade out of seemingly nowhere
kaelin milesky Thank you for commenting that i’m excited now to get there 😍😂
spoiler!
Jades always there and it’s so cute😂
Don’t go through the comments y’all if you don’t want spoilers😂
I just love it when they start to get on each other's nerves and go head-long into an old married couple spat. I LOVE IT! They are going to be cutest old grandpas ever! I'm old enough to be their moms, so I probably won't be around to experience that cuteness, but I can just imagine how sweet it will be...
so apparently.....
oprah: hey rhett and link i'd love to come on ear biscuits-
link: sorry oprah we don't do guests anymore
em good
Rhett was feeling especially feisty as Link interrupts him as usual, "Let me finish my damn sentence!"😁
XD
My dog passed away yesterday. And seeing this video today is just...wow. I mean what are the chances. He lived a full life, he was 13 years old. However, it hurts a great deal. Link singing golden girls has been my biggest gift this week. Thank you hahaha
That made me so happy! Rhett's reaction was great too.
I love when Link just pulled Jade out from under the table... she’s too cute!🥰
Me:•gets new dog•
Ear biscuits:
Link’s impression of his dad is uncanny. And hysterical!
Just so we're all clear, ALL dogs go to heaven.
Polly Bonanzas nope none of them do
Lol I’m just playing
This is correct
Except for Barbara

I love when they show photos of them with their wives being happy. It's really nice to see some genuine happiness as a couple.
If it doesn’t wick, put socks on quick.
I love how sassy they both are at the beginning of this episode lol.

This was an amazing episode. I really enjoyed it.
Jade is the cutest little thing in the world right now. And all i needed tonight after the day i had. So glad to hear both Barbara and Jade are safe and sound❤❤
21:06 “because you’re my best friend” i’m- 🥺🥺🥺🥺
My dog of 13 years just passed and I’ve been having a hard time with it, I’m glad this could give me some peace and relatability ❤
47:30 is where they start talking about their dogs fyi
Your post implies that some people may skip through parts of an ear biscuit. And that makes me very sad...
Just about every moment of an ear biscuit is gold, why would someone skip any? :)
because i wanna hear them talk about their dogs
Thank you

AS SOON AS IT HAPPEND I READ THIS 😂😂😂
Some podcast don't do well when they go off topic but it works with them.
Just listened to this on my flight great podcast and shows love you guys!
I'm so glad that Barbara got home safe and sound, and Jade is on the mend!
So glad i left a bunch of these biscuits uneaten because my ears need something to chaw on now. Lots of satisfying chuckles! Thanks.

I listen to their podcasts to and from work Monday-Friday. And can watch it on the weekend ☺️
P.S.- I like that the podcast version is uncensored! 😁
"CLOSE THAT BOI" i got so scared and thought that was so funny and kept repeating that part so many times....
Annly P haha I thought the exact same thing 😂 so damn funny
I've been living under a rock apparently cuz I just realized these were now on their own special channel. I don't usually turn on alerts for things, but y'all'r special enough for it, I guess.
"What made you guys think that we needed a dog?" LMAO!
These LONG FORM Videos are LEGIT!! 😎👌
I don’t know why but I absolutely adore 17:03 to 17:08
The wonder of discovery lol

Anyone else listen to the podcast earlier in the week, then watch it today just to see their facial expressions?
Always! Especially when they get into it over topics!

Rest in peace to Enzo. Stevie's beloved dog. :'(
"We manifest in Oprah's name" is my new mantra. 🤣
Happy birthday Link. 🙂❤️

Another great conversation fellas! Looking forward to the next one.
LOL, at 30:00 or so, Link: "I just let you off the hook!" Rhett doesn't say: "what hook? you created that hook!!" You guys. You make my day.
21:52 That was great. 10/10 😂 Thanks, Link.
We just lost our cat 2 days ago. She was very much my cat. She picked me when she was a kitten and it's just been so so hard. I'm still crying on and off. I know its dumb but I like to think she is off somewhere better over the rainbow bridge.
God Bless you and your fur baby. And I completely believe they are family. You’ll see her again when you pass over that rainbow. {HUG}
“I don’t even know what brand it is cause this is not a commercial”
You tell em Rhett
45:50 That's the best teaser I've ever heard.
my dog died like two months ago during finals time in school and i basically shut down just like link said he would. my grades suffered a great bit but it was just so horrible losing him bc he was only 9 years old :( this just reminded me again oof i hope jade and barbara can live as long as possible
ear biscuits at 50% speed sounds amazing
I have an appointment today to put my 17 year old cat down. I really needed this Ear Biscuit today
My dachshund Mr.Weenie passed away today. He would have been 5 this July
I'm so sorry. It feels so horrible to lose a pet. 🙏
RIP Mr. Weenie
rip mr. weenie. sending positive thoughts your way.
God bless. {HUG}
Jade looks so sad like a little kid who just frew up in the middle of the night, I am glad she's doing better these days
"what if"
It's gonna happen one day, it's gonna happen to all of us one day.
I love all the bickering in this episode lmao 🧡
My dog almost fell off a 3 story building once. He was always so aggressive and liked to bark at nearby people. And when we lived on the top floor that had a large balcony area, he liked to bark at people from up there. Once he jumped on top of the railing (which was like a foot wide railing) and almost fell forward. He didn't stop barking though, and eventually he came back down. If a dog is a reflection of their owner, then he represents my stupidity very well.
17:36 Link being Link
i love the authenticity of ear biscuits 🥺
I've had 5 or 6 dogs in my life, but I agree. There is one dog that is the best.
I’d love to see guests on the podcast again, but I won’t be unhappy if not, cause y’all are great.
I don't care how waterproof something is that is electronic. I'd never put it in the water. I won't even let it get a drop of rain on it.
Fell asleep to an ear biscuits playlist... Woke up to Link singing the golden girls theme...
I was watching this as a last video at midnight. Then I realized that it was over an hour.
Your podcast would explode if you started having guests on!!
Mythical Beast just Checking in!! 😉
hey i know this was posted in 2019, and i just wanna say i dont blame rhett for saying that having a pet and a child is not the same thing, but i grew up close with an aunt that was infertile. she tried for so long to have kids of her own, before finding out she was infertile and was devastated. after some time as she was coping with the reality of things, she got dogs, 5 of them.
I'm surprised Rhett knows exactly how much time it takes to get to Link's bedroom..
Layani Prado not really. they hang out at each other's houses literally all the time.
@@waterloo-sunset seriously? You had to answer that? LMAO *roll eyes*
These types of joke became sick...
I'm just here to ship don't mind me
Rhett: "he cried for his friend- that's a high level of empathy" Me: *sobbing for both Rhett and Link over the theoretical death of their pets* yeah that's a lot of empathy
Is it just me or does Rhett always look like he's eating the microphone?😁
I don't wanna think about that! They aren't my dogs but they are part of the mythical family. When they are with y'all they make you so happy! Y'all totally go in daddy mode and gush all over them which is so cute. I hope they life for a long time.
0:56 😳When Link said "Here's the secret" I didn't know it was him at first. I was so confused! 🤷♀️ lol I had to go back a few times cause I was so creeped out lol!! 🤯💯😂🤦♀️
Link got so scared when he closed the book xd
When my cat has some kind of problem, stung by a bee, knee problems, and what not, I realize that if this is scary and difficult, imagine how MUCH harder it would be if it was your child!
Oh how the tears are falling
I love them, I could listen to them all day, especially Rhett.
1:15:34 lol we say that all the time at my house. My dachshund Daisy was our only "dog" until about three months ago. And we often say we got her a dog lol not us.
These guys are great together.
But imagine if Rhett had a daughter... Like a human daughter. He would spoil her the way he spoils Barbara.
Never heard of wicking clothing before and now I'm on Amazon amazed by all the wicking products they have.
I woke up to this 😭😭😭
I know, I did too. It’s sad to talk about this topic, but I’m sure Rhett and Link wanted to do it now, so that they can get it off their chest.
In my state (arkansas) it is also legal to wear a green. (Like road workers wear). But when Turkey hunting you wear neither.
I also live in Arkansas wow
