- Just a few days away from the opening night of The Who Hits Back!, The Who's 2022 North American tour, and the road crew assemble to set up and check through all the equipment, the new instruments, the new lighting, while the band and their orchestra conducted by Keith Levenson run through some pretty stringent rehearsals. Meanwhile, let's take a look at the gear . . .

I never noticed how complete and refined Pete's backing track for You Better You Bet is. A mini masterpiece in itself!
It was amazing, what a trip.

I saw Roger back at the MN State Fair. Just as he ended his last note the fireworks seemed to come out of the top of his head. So awesome!

So as a young kid just getting into them, i was envious of my older bro seeing them in Toronto in Oct of 82, then seeing the final show in december on tv, wishing i could have seen them live and now never will. Well this october we are going to see them in toronto, exactly 1 week shy of 40 years ago that my brother saw them! And my son is coming along, who would have ever dreamt that, back in 82, we would be able to see them in 2022!
My ticket just came in the mail today! See you all on May 10th in Oklahoma City! I'm so excited! 💙🤍♥️
I saw roger daltrey back in 1994 with John entwistle and Simon Townshend. I was right in front of John's gear great show. Did quadrophenia stuff that night. Two years before the quadrophenia tour in 96/97 Simon waved to me along w/ rabbit bundrick and I think daltrey waved the number one finger at me also.

I did ask the same question. Why? Because, Roger Daltrey said, that "they can not go on playing the same show", so i am waiting for some 5 songs from the new fantastic album, some rarely or never played songs, plus the overplayed hits all casual fans will ask for.

a rabid fan since 1977 at the age of 17, never got to see them live but life gave me a most perfect present that is my daughter. she surprised me on my 59th birthday with tickets to see THE WHO at the Toyota Center in Houston Texas 25 SEP 2019. They did two songs, ended the concert and Pete promised the attending crowd refunds would be provided to all. it is now 24 APR 2022 and my daughter has never gotten a refund for such a disappointing show…shame on you Pete, shame on you…
Ticket sales very sluggish . Not sure why they haven’t moved towards a 5-7 thousand seat arena . Judging by ticketmaster most arenas look more than half full or empty ..
I saw The Who (finally!!!) in San Jose. Well, I saw partly Daltry and Townsend, which could have been great. I bought tickets to see The Who, though, not an orchestra playing with (and over) them 80% of the time. This was one of the biggest, if not the biggest, concert disappointments of my life. None of the old classic stuff. And an orchestra. I feel mislead and ripped off.
On a positive note, Daltry and Townsend were in top form when the orchestra didn't distract. Daltry's voice was amazing. It cracked once - near the end of the charade- I mean show. He still hits it though. He's in amazing shape and that helped overcome the orchestra crap. Townsend played flawlessly and still windmilled - so at least I've seen and heard these things. It still sucks though, that I didn't get to see a whole show of that.

Always loved The Who but this really isn’t The Who w/o Moon and Entwistle. Just call it Townsend/Daltrey Band or similar.

@@michaelhylant419 I don't miss your point, I just find it stupid. That's like saying The Ramones are not The Ramones without Dee Dee or Tommy. Or Foo Fighters aren't The Foo Fighters without Taylor. Bands have to move on and The Who delivered great albums with Kenny and Pino too. You are just the classic "fan" that can't accept anything but the old stuff.
Your comparisons don’t hold up. NOBODY plays like Moon or Entwistle, especially together. Replacement’s can try to copy it, but they can’t come close. I’m glad their still playing, but it ain’t The Who.
