- I am so excited about this and have been waiting since they introduced the first Zino 2. After waiting and waiting it is finally here on the new Zino 2+ / Zino 2 Plus. Hubsan I want to thank you personally!!!

Something so simple has made me feel so much better about this quad and it will save so many a ton of headaches! Update on the broken Zino 2+ that was dead on arrival will follow in an upcoming video.

Yes I have to pick the good days. I cut out the coughs in a few parts but keeping videos shorter helps. Today isn't a good day unfortunately. This is a rollercoaster!

Thanks for Your great videos Buddy, can you let us know why Hubsan is not available in the us anymore, I want to buy a second Zino2+ desperately pleas?.....Ohhhh and where can one get the firmware updates or the fallback software updates?
It's a known fact, not all firmware updates are created equally. It also doesn't matter what manufacturer is releasing the firmware update. I did a firmware update on my Mavic Air 2 only to have what normally is a sweet flying quad fly like crap, to the point I feared I was gonna lose it. Just a couple days later another update is there. Hoping this update would fix the issues I had experienced with the previous update I install the update, put the Air 2 in the air to find her flying smooth as silk once again. The moral of the story is well-known; "If it ain't broke don't fix it"!
I agree 100 percent Kris and sometimes what they tell you about the particular Firmware sounds so fake that it makes you wonder , they add and subtract as well too , if it ain't broke don't fix it ,take care Kris .

Hi Chris. I've been amusing myself with a new drone - I broke down and bought the DJI Mini 2, after trying a half dozen tiny folding drones. I like supporting the underdog, but the Mini 2 is just in a class by itself. As to Hubsan, sigh. I think you missed the Zino Pro Plus. I am anxiously (not) awaiting the Zino 3 Pro + Max Ultra - the only drone available with a longer name than my Fimi X8 SE 2020 - another drone that gets LOTS of updates, fixes, bug squashing, etc. Still, it beats the Zino in my opinion.

In my last comment, Spell check (I hate spell check) changed my question to GAS restrictions - stupid change - what I was asking was with all the FAA restrictions now in force, how does that hit us for flying out of line-of-sight, plus the cap on altitude?
And do you now see that the zino 2+ is a viable purchase option?
In these past months as I've followed Hubsan's flubs and goofs, I have been very reluctant to go toward their products.

It effects you because you aren't supposed to do it at all. Keep it in line of sight and under the ceiling cap is what they want but I was never one to take orders well or listen to those who don't know jack shit and trying to put chains on us or bring forth fines that don't add up to something that is safer than driving a car. Keep to yourself, be smart and if you post don't show your screen or yourself behind the sticks. So far the Zino 2+ from looking at others looks like a saint. I haven't had any stick time with it or seen much from others I fully trust to say it's a good buy. So many people do a little flight here and there and then say it's the best Zino yet. Always give it a little time to see if the masses are screaming from the streets about their broken Zino's. Enjoy that snow and wait it out a little :)

Good morning hope you’re doing well I’m having a problem between my receiver and my phone I replace the cable but I noticed at the receiver where you plug in the cord there’s a little black dust I keep losing connection from my phone to the receiver do you think I should take it apart and take a look at it or just order a new receiver

Very good videos about this drone, I have a question for you. I changed my drone zino 2 + but I still have its old control (HT018P) I only changed the drone due to problems with its camera. How can I connect the old controller to the new drone, considering that it is the same Zino 2 +? I can't find anything about it. Thanks
Take a pin or toothpick and press the button inside the very tiny hole in the side for 3 seconds. It is located just above the sd card slot and your lights will start to blink. Once they do go into the app under controls and connect under the set connection between aircraft and controller tab.
It's the same in the FPV world....... don't rush to update firmware. If all is working leave it a while

I use a ToolkitRC M8S charger to great effect on the Zino 2+ and never got that non-original charger message, hahahaha. Nice video, thank you.

Dear Sir. Sorry for bother you. Please, i need your help for my hubsan zino 2+ .Sudennly, after a few nice flights i have a crusial disconnection issue. I cant establish connection with the drone any more. The front drone legs leds flashing blue and the rear are red solidl. But, the controller bleeps the trasmitter signal icon and cant coonnect... On the aircraft slot, the red and green leds are on and solid. Sometimes, i 'm establishing connection for few secs and after i get the 'disconnected' message on apk. "USB cable no properly connect" I m on newest frmware update. Even without the cable pluged the trasmitter after one day period on the self, manage to show the full panel records for once time and the 'DISCONNECTON" message trails on the tranmitter. On Some of these 'tests' i managed to get image transmittion for few secs, is i mentioned. I cant find any previus firmwares for downgrade and i even dont know if is that kind of issue that get me in that situation. If you can help me i ll apreciate it...!!!Thank you...

This is definitely a good step and for those who wait to update if their quads are flying fine this will save so much headache. Never should a company force us to update.

I need your help, I have this drone but I have not been able to make it work, its camera is not displayed correctly and abnormal communication appears in HUBSAN IT in version control, it seems that this component is not installed. I have tried to update firmware but it has not been possible from PC or from the SD. Could you help me? I can send you photos of the drone and its status. Hubsan support does not answer my emails.
IT is the camera firmware which would be missing if the flex cable is faulty. If you replace the flex cable from the main board to the gimbal you may be able to resolve this issue.
Finding the correct cable is the hard part lately. I have them but don’t sell them outright. I need them for the drones people send me for repairs.

This question is hard for this quad because none of the updates are mind blowing. I am on the second version whatever that is and have not updated because it works and they aren't giving me anything I need. Sorry I don't know the exact versions at the moment. Stick with what is working if that be the case.

Friend I think that the control of the Zino 2 will not work because that is Leas and this is Syncleas or Leas 2.0

I ordered a 2+ three days ago, will I have to go threw all this???? Something makes think that I should of went with my gut instinct and purchased a dji product....
The update is pretty new so most likely yes you will but keep in mind you can say no to updating. This was by no means a critical update so it can be skipped.
I would do the calibrations I did in my last two videos though. It’s not a must but it’s something I am pretty anal about with a new quad.

I'm getting a constant error saying 0x0080 and my gimble doesn't work it's so annoying I did take it all a part and everything seem to be fine so still can't work out what it is? I always update the app on my phone not sure on how to update the drone it's self or if that's anything to do with the problem? Then again on the odd time it does work fine so not sure what it could be?
That’s a calibration code and if it works on occasion then I would blow out the gimbal with compressed air. You could just has debris in the gimbals moving parts.
I would not upgrade any firmware on this drone though. That’s not your problem and it’s likely updating it will just invite more problems.

Just got my Zino 2+ and followed the prompt to upgrade. Wish I hadn't. It got to 75% and froze for like half an hour. The drone was no longer connected to the transmitter because it apparently disconnected in the process. The battery would not shut down so I removed it. The upgrade did not complete, but I no longer get a prompt to upgrade. When I tried to fly it for the first time, the head props lifted off first and the hover was not stable so I brought it down immediately. I intend to try the upgrade again via computer, but first, as far as you know, is the process the same as for the Zino 2?
It won’t show your quads configuration in the computer tool if it’s not compatible so no harm in checking but do you have the files to do it on the computer?
Also, if you’re using a android device and have access to a iOS device try using that if you can get it to prompt for the update again. Did you click check for updates?
@@QCGUY TY for your response. I checked for updates. None available thru app. I went to Hubsan site, Support, found Zino 2+ and Firmware download. Got the zip file, clicked on the zip file and kept clicking subfolders til I got an Am-something-or-other.bin file. Had to research how to open a bin file. Watched a tutorial instructing me to create a .txt doc with specific text and save it to the folder containing the bin file. That's where I've run into a snag. I am not able to save the txt file in the same folder. Perhaps if I use Winzip I can paste the txt file in the proper subfolder. That's where I am.
I'll get it figured out. What's worth a chuckle is that I saw your video several months ago where you advised flying first and not upgrading right away.

Hi Qc Guy, is it possible to use the 2+ firmware in the 2? Maybe all lacks are away?
They appear to share the same number pattern in the FC and Toff but not the Gimbal, PW and IT. Both FC's are 1.0.XX where normally Hubsan will go with one being 1.0.XX and the other being 1.2.XX when different but I still wouldn't try to use one for the other.

I forget to ask another problem. When I use the SD card to import the firmware, do I have sane results without active installing? All attempts to install actively via App and via PC fail. The AMBA software wasn't alive, perhaps an installation problem.

@@dhoser9296 difference is some of the hardware. Some of the firmware puzzle pieces match but some don’t.
I never crashed in a flight, and you know what happens? I updatted today my hubsan and on first flight I crashed. My zino 2 was moving ramdomly and I could not get control over it. So bad that update I think
They are calibration hungry after updating and to easily screwed up during a calibration so that’s more likely than a update being the cause itself. I’ve flown some pretty bad updates...

Go to the Hubsan website or Aliexpress and search or look in your manual. Part numbers are usually listed there.

Hello, i recieved my zino 2 and i cant cancel that forced update and its frustrating. Always stuck at 16 or 49%. Any advice please?
When you power it on before it updates do you have fpv on your screen?
@@QCGUY i can see everything on the screen, the camera is on, the app is good, but then the forced update jumps in and i have to press upgrade, then the same thing, it stops
@@QCGUY right now, i tried the recovery firmware, uninstall the app and install again, now its stuck at 16% (Upgrading PW send MD5)
@@TheHanesek I’ve had a few of these. In both cases I had to completely take them apart and find the problem. One I remember was a bad connection to the sensors and the other was a damaged board.
It’s very frustrating and I’m sorry for your headache in this.

It is very hard to say because many FIMI 2020's have the tilt issue that is too bad for the calibrations to fix and then there's the typical Hubsan BS they create with poor quality control and bad updates later down the road. I like my X* 2020 more than the Z2+ but that's only because I got my gimbal tilt sorted out. I honestly can't say either is the quad to buy...

Does it happen every time or in certain situations? You have Tried a compass calibration out where you fly with no metal or magnetic objects including the controller and your device on you or near by?
@@QCGUY I have but it seems like it lasts for 1/2 the flight then I have to bring it back because it starts to fly sideways and then on landing I'm in full the. Also I misspoke I have the pro version not the 2. Sorry basically every time. Maybe it's me not doing something right, my Phantom 3 does not do this.
@@edwinkania5286 flying sideways and toilet bowl are different. Have you also done the stick calibration and a proper horizontal calibration? Keyword is proper 👍🏻

Always do firmware and software updates period.
Terrible advice when it comes to Hubsan firmware but with such a firm comment there should be some explanations as to why we should if that's what you want us to follow. Thanks

@@QCGUY Good night my friends, I have the same problem with my zino 2 plus. a new update came up, and I went to update and stopped at 50% there was no more, I tried to update by the pc and nothing, it is with this same error. Do I have to change this flash cable?

2 different classes really no matter if you find them at the same price. You can’t beat the Mini camera over this and DJI backs their stuff up far better.
I wish Dji would take notes from hubsan and go back to the days when you could downgrade your firmware but no it’s not a option anymore! Sorta pushing me towards looking for other options out there !
On the computer you should be able to unless this is something fairly new they changed. I did it in the fall with the mini.
@@QCGUY I tried to downgrade my ma2 and my M2p with my pc and it’s only letting me refresh the firmware an I also tried With my phantom 4 pro same issue? Idk what’s going on but I’ve talked to some guys I fly with locally in my area and same issues?

@@tecno4u31 That’s a hard one to answer and both are good but both have some little issues. Hubsan screws up their firmware and has terrible customer service.
FIMI’s biggest issue it a gimbal tilt.
