  • Beaulieu Autojumble is one of the biggest outdoor sales of motoring items this side of the Atlantic. With hundreds of stands to browse, I struggled to keep my hand out of my pocket! Located at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, Hampshire, I was fortunate to get a backstage peek at their workshop...
Visit the museum's website and check out next year's event! www.beaulieu.co.uk/news/busy-...
Thanks for watching! If you're enjoying my journey, please subscribe for free! You'll receive notifications when I upload a new video - every Sunday at 5pm (GMT)!

My Father was a boat builder. During the war he was building and repairing Motor Torpedo Boats (MTB’s). Around something like 50 years ago, he was employed to replace all the ash timber frame on a Woody at a local car repair garage (would it have been a Lea Francis?). He was a really skilled craftsman and made a fantastic job of it.

@@riderzinc if you want to be one of the first few hundred through the gate you’ll need to get there early and queue, but once it’s been open about half an hour queues shouldn’t be too bad. I bought a heavy duty rear step bumper for a mk1 or mk2 transit bargain £30
Took it home carried in the garden
    Mum asked what's that for
    A transit
But you haven't got a transit

But if I get a transit this is the bumper I want to fit on it

    Hi Dom.....
A very interesting video thank you for posting, i had the privilege of working in that workshop for 2 weeks in the summer of 1978, there were two mechanics there then called Doug and Ashley, i believe doug is now the Chief Engineer? Nothing has changed in all that time even the lathe is still in the same location.
I had a very similar tool makers cabinet to the one you purchased, mine was manufactured by "Moore & Wright", they are very good for storing micrometers, vernier calipers, and DTI's etc.....
