I can relate to your mom's approach. I have two children. When I first came home from the hospital with a new baby each day I always got up, showered, make up and dressed in clothes (not pajamas) everyday. It really helped me not get depressed or feel isolated. I work from home. I still shower, make up, hair, dress in clothes (not pajamas) everyday. Definitely has a positive effect.
Omg same here haha I definitely try harder now that I have a kid its kinda funny how that works. Before I didn’t care about my appearance but now that I’m a working mom I get up and I try harder for my appearance.
If I fall into the "what does it really matter, nobody is gonna see anyway, I'm only walking the dog, I will take it off in a few hours anyway..." - spiral I always feel worse. Always! It's like I'm losing respect for myself to some degree. So I totally agree with this. It doesn't have to be crazy out there, a little bit of mascara and a cute pony tail goes a long way and can increase my mood a lot and actually motivate me to do more.
@Cat23 I envy you in a way - being comfortable with less is my goal - I feel bad for taking too much time on makeup - I think “who am I trying to impress?” but it’s more for me - I’m just so picky I fiddle with everything and almost can’t “stop” messing with it.
I literally did this so much during second year of university and on the days I said it doesn’t matter I won’t see anyone I end up walking into my crush
At 4:28, she starts to list the reasons why you should put yourself together. 1) It sets your attitude for the day 2) Lifts your self esteem 3): you'll want to do more things and feel like you're putting your best foot forward. 4) You never know who you will run into 5) People will take you more seriously when you're put together. 6) It's part of your self care routine and helps your mental state. 7) It increases your productivity. (Mentions "The Power of Habit" Book and take 21 days to make it a point to put yourself together to build the habit)
I dressed sassy to cool to work yesterday. I felt soo mucg better, I felt really good about myself, and yeah when I dress nice my attitude changes, people look at me differently, more compliments, more confidence ♥
She said every time you run into a enemy, or ex boyfriend you’re gonna look like shit 😂😂 this is so true. I don’t know why life works like that either! Man, I felt that deeply. Hahaha.
Once I ran into friends of my ex, and even though I looked on point, lost a lot of weight AND felt great, they gave me that mean smile and I couldn't help but question that and feel insecure. 😅 But it's all ok, there will always be people who will act like assholes to you, they don't matter.
You are right! And I think it might be a European thing to always look put together. I noticed that from my euro friends and their moms. Their mothers taught them that. But I think it’s a good habit because it sets the mood and tone of your day and life! Whenever I go out looking bummy I feel blah and not so confident. When I do put time and effort into my appearance I always feel good about myself and motivated. I’ve been following habits that my euro friends do and it’s been life changing! Like putting myself together, eating appropriate portions of food, drinking more tea and walking more. It’s awesome
Allison M it’s true, this is the case everywhere except the USA and the UK where women just leave the house with trainers on lol its understandable when your shopping but it’s a everyday thing for some..
Sammy Alz Yeah it’s strange because it’s a very recent trend. 60 years ago, people cared way more. Nowadays- its probably gonna be the rich or waspy type people who look good always. But it’s cool I guess. I like being relaxed and feeling no pressure to do my makeup and dress nice everyday. But on the other hand , it’s nice to be held to those standards sometimes. Easier to make sure you’re taking care of yourself
Ever since I started dressing a little more formally, wearing a little makeup to put life in my face, and making sure my hair is tame... my life has gotten so much better.
I always go for the classy look when I go to work/university/out with friends or such. I don't have a lot of clothes, but they are quality, stylish items and I can pair everything with anything. I put on (korean style) makeup every day, do my hair, put on my earrings of the day, add a nice bag to the outfit. I used to be shy person with zero confidence, thinking that I'm failing my life every day. After I started taking care of myself, it changed the way I feel about myself when I look at the mirror. I feel happier, I'm rarely stressed, have more energy just from being a "happy virus". I'm more productive and I more confident. Little things like a put together outfit, a nicely done hair and makeup can really affect a person's day, and I hope people will be inspired to do it! Take good care of yourselves!~
I've actually been waiting a long time for someone to make a video like this! I truly believe every word that you said. In high school, and into my early 20's my sister's and my close friend's would give me a hard time about wanting to look cute while going out to run errands etc. Like, "You don't need makeup, we're just going to Target" But I know for a fact that people DO treat you differently when you do or do not look put together. It does affect your self esteem if you don't feel your best, and people notice that right away. So thank you for making this video!! :)
i noticed when i wear a cute outfit .. my mood is different. I feel good, pretty and confident. This past year.. i would go to the lab in pyjamas or sport clothes. My studies would give me so much stress and i would pass all day inside in front of the computer at the lab. Since then, i try a little extra effort to put up outfit concept.
Agree 10000% - such wise words!! “If you start to treat every day like a special occasion, life is going to smile back at you... it opens up opporutnity for even more special things to happen” “At the end of the day you should treat yourself as a friend you want to help” Give yourself the best chance to seize the day!
Whenever I need to be productive, I allow some time first to put myself together and make myself look cute and confident. By putting on rings, wearing a coherent outfit, or a little bit of makeup, sometimes just by combing my hair and doing skincare. When I look good, I feel good, I feel more capable and motivated.
Great advice! Lately I've been going through a lot of changes.. moved across the country, unemployed.. So I've been wearing pjs/gym wear only and it definitely affects my mood. I'm going to try and apply your tips. Thank you!
I'm a huge believer of living your life day to day, and not plan your most extra outfits for later, WEAR THEM NOW ! I started wearing my heels, my wildest accessorizing ideas to uni and I've never been more confident! It might not apply to everyone but I love fashion and so I'm the most confident when I have a great outfit on! Besides uni, I also have a podcast and instagram that I need to manage daily and it's a lot fo work, and although I do the work from home, I still need to wear my outfits, and be ready in the morning, helps me be super productive, the quality of my work is 10x better, and I genuinely feel and sound happier! Also it builds your self esteem and actually helps you believe in the work you're doing, as in when you work a 9-5 job you can't go with pjs or lounge clothes, when you prep the same way for your home job it gives the same value if not a bigger one! Clothes that are associated with lounging and chilling, mentally affects our work and motivation. If I'm in my pjs everyday which I did these past 3 days, all I wanted to do is lay on my bed and sleep ! However I don't wear makeup, I like my skin to be completely free of products, it works best for me, and what's most important is to do what works best for you, same for my hair, always natural, I have curly hair so it's always down, I never straighten it, however I'm experimenting with different hairstyles!
Omg. Thank you for this video, it makes sense. I used to care about myself before I started working full time. I slowly stopped putting forth effort while noticing I was becoming more depressed each day and wanting to hide from the world, getting to the point that now I just throw on whatever and stopped wearing makeup/doing my hair/feeling good. I feel like I trapped my personality and style in this cycle of not caring, but now I want to start putting myself together. Thanks Evelina for the push :)
this is sooo true! I've selected my fave casual outfits that I LOVE and I re-wear them all the time but they make me feel so confident. It takes no time in the morning because I already know it looks good, and I don't mind re-wearing it. Also, I am soooo much more productive in a nice outfit (and nice can be cute sweats and a crop top too!) x
I've been in a rut for a while now. I'm trying to claw my way out by adopting some simple changes right now. I searched "why you should do your best" on youtube and this was the first result. I think this will be a new mindset I'll incorporate into my daily life as part of my changes. For instance, I've become the girl who wears sweatpants to all of her classes. I literally think to myself it's a means of simply surviving lecture, which you can see is not a good mindset before even getting to the lecture hall! Putting on regular pants, doing my makeup and even a couple curls in my hair makes me feel like a totally different student lol.
I agree so much with this. I was trying to "embrace" my natural self by not wearing make-up and dressing up nicely, taking selfies etc. for several weeks but I actually felt so much worse. I felt a dullness in myself, a loss of identity and no motivation to go out and do things. I did learn to not feel embarrassed by my bare face but you're so right about the psychological uplifting effect that making yourself look good gives.
@@g.mcdonald3356 looking good in my own eyes i.e. hair styled, nice put together outfit, a little make-up. Not looking like I just rolled out of bed and got dresses without looking in the mirror.
Thank you so much, this is just what I needed. I have a chronic illness so am stuck in the house a lot of the time. I started off wearing only pyjamas, then when I got a bit better I started wearing work out clothes, now I’m thinking I need to make the move to comfy “proper” clothes, like a well person. As you said, I think it will really feel like self care, and will highlight the importance of now xxx
I hate how wanting to look your best is instantly considered vain, self centered and conceited. I applaud you making a video like this cuz I love it! All the Tips and Tricks really help me get motivated to want to put my best foot forward, and it works to start your day in a positive light!
I love that you phrased it as a type of prison because that resonates with me so much!!! For most of my earlier years, I would feel so uncomfortable if I didn’t spend 2 hours getting ready to leave my house. I faced my fears and have gotten very comfortable going out with natural hair and no make up, but have found that while I don’t feel anxious anymore... I also don’t feel as good about myself and really miss getting ready, but found myself feeling bad about the time I’d be spending doing my hair/make up and almost convincing myself there was no point (which is how I ended up stumbling upon this video). I think the way I felt about putting myself together in the morning was influenced so much behind my motivation for doing so. In previous years it was for outside validation. Now it is for myself, and this video really helped me make sense of that by providing some clarity to what looking my best does for me on the inside. :) Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video!
Couldn’t agree more! You never know what opportunity is gonna present itself when you’re looking and feeling your best every single day. And it truly does change your attitude! Even on days you’re not feeling so great, put on a great outfit and let it do it’s magic!
Getting ready and putting myself together does take effort. But it is something that brings me joy. I love doing my makeup and hair. Even though I work nights and have a uniform I can still express myself through my jewelry and makeup and it totally effects how I feel and how my day is gona go. If I look good I feel good and I work harder and I’m nicer to people.
So true!! For me, the days when I'm just at home, visiting family, or just chilling, I don't feel as excited for as the days when I know I'll be out in public, and ready to look my best!!
Hey, I just wanted to ask you with love to please not put a music during the video as it is hard already to hear you clear and with a music on is even more distracting. I'd be happy if you take notice ! Also I want to say that I love this video because it is something different and part of the everyday life as a woman or even a man and it is so real. Keep it coming.
I was brought up to always look my best when leaving the house. My father would always say to look your best because when you look good people treat you good. It's so true. I've noticed I get better treatment than people who don't look so put together.
Agree. One color dresses with belts at the waist line. High waisted jeans and pants. While wearing dresses, choose a skin color pair of shoes that match your skin tone it will help to elongate the legs. All t shirts or blouses whatever tuck into your high waisted pants. Can be only from front. This will give you an illussion of longer bottom front.
Ilona Pankevich thanks!! The struggle is I’m not super girly so the dresses and skirts aren’t likely to happen. 😆 I’m trying to revamp my whole wardrobe and quit buying stuff I never wear.
Very inspirational! Thank you :) I am almost 37 and I have JUST started to realize all of this in the last couple of years of my life. Better late than never! Subscribed
This is certainly not shallow. My wonderful, intelligent grandmother lived to the amazing age of 101 years. In the last 3 years of her life she was housebound, but everyday she was washed, hair done, dressed in a nice outfit and wore her necklace. It was so inspiring and I was so respectful of her. She always said there is always time to get ready to face the day. Thank you it is important for youself.
I love this video and I totally agree with you. As a server, my coworkers say “When I don’t wear makeup or do my hair cute, I don’t get tipped” And I told her back that it sometimes may be the physical aspect, but I know when I feel like I look ugly I am way less likely to look people in their eyes and act as vibrant and outgoing as when I have makeup on and look cute 🤷🏼♀️
I've heard this a few times through out my life, just never really followed through because most days I do wake up thinking about it but get lazy or sluggish and end up like "eh, who cares, whatever". Looking back on my grown years, I do realize the toll of always just being comfortable and what it's slowly done to change me as well as my appearence. I've also struggled with mental illness since I was about 15, and I feel the two things don't work together well, it's almost like being lazy has really cattered to it instead of pushing through it. Also, now that I hear you mentioning it I also remember my mother telling me years back one of the times I was trying to do better about the 21 days to form a habit, it really made me smile to hear that again. I'm really excited to think more about your advice and truly aply it to my life to see if it makes a difference in my overall happiness, mood, confidence, work ethic, etc. Thank you, I really enjoyed listening to your genuineness here :)
I can 100% confirm this video is facts, in high school I used to dress in sweatpants and a T-shirt everyday without fail and I became lazy and unmotivated and it seemed like nothing mattered bc I was starting my day getting dressed like nothing mattered. Then, this past summer I cleaned out my closet, bought a whole new wardrobe, and took all my new clothes to college. Here I’ve gotten so much more respect from people, so much more attention from guys, and even three guys from my high school who have approached me and said “were you always this attractive?”. All I did was change the way I dressed, still no make up, still the same hair. I am much more organized, motivated and energized now, dressing in a presentable way is changing my life for the better and the effort I put into it is hardly any more than I did when I was in high school, but I feel better and look better so in turn life is better. It works guys it really does
This is so true. I always feel better when I actually think about what I am going to look like and give time to look put-together. Soooo happy to see a fashion cafe. They are always so fun to watch.
People will gonna respect you differently, because you show them that you are important. Otherwise you wouldn't have been all dressed up. You teach others how to treat you. And by dressing up, you comunicate: I'm important, I value myself. I put effort in myself. And so will others. Between, a biigg thank you for this video love 🧡🧡🧡
I’m going through a rough patch of depression/anxiety, and this has really really helped! Something so little that you can do in the house is super useful in helping to establish routine & doing your skincare/makeup can be quite therapeutic. As my confidence has dipped, this is a nice way of gaining some back :) thanks so much for this video, and all your reasons behind it!
When I look back at pics/vids from the 60s and before, I do really admire how put together everyone looks. Its great that we can be comfy and wear whatever these days, but there are some great points for cultivating a cared for look!
Loved this video and I'm not even a girl. This is a concept that I think a lot of straight men would also do well to be exposed to because we are notorious for the whole "throwing on a hoodie and not caring about how we look" thing. I am guilty of doing this as well, in fact I rarely ever get dressed up or even care too much about what I wear, but no exaggeration after watching this video I'm going to take your advice and start implementing some of the things you suggested. Great video
I totally agree! Especially being 38 weeks pregnant, I feel 100x better after getting ready for the day and I will continue to do so after I give birth because I know it makes me feel better!
I was literally just thinking about this. I feel like the internet is reading my mind. I really care about fashion, beauty and all that jazz but have no problem wearing my pjs out sometimes haha. I want to change it though and i reckon its more to do with the way it'll make me feel about myself xx
Great reminder. I’m very confident bare faced and in a plain outfit, so I sometimes go through phases of not putting in any effort. But I really do notice how much more happy and excited I am to go out and do things when I feel pretty. I also notice that it helps my relationship when I feel more confident and sexy
Honestly, you are SO right! I work from home, and every time I work in pajamas I feel tired and unproductive. It really improves your mood if you put a cute/comfy outfit and do stuff ♥️
I truy agree with you! Dressing up or looking put together is not vanity.. It is giving your best self to the world and the world will smile back at you!! Awesome!!!
It is vain. You're basically walking around with the attitude of: "People who wear regular clothing are shit and I'm not because I'm wearing whatever." Just stop.
I really needed to watch this video. I don't put as much effort into myself during the week for work as I do on my weekends off. You are right! every day is a special occasion.
I have been wearing crocs, a bleach stained MENS shirt and bleach stained black pants with holes in them and a bun that turns messy af to work because I work at night. it really has affected my self esteem 😓
Over the years I've been coming to realize that what I thought was "superficial" isn't: picking out clothes that flatter you and make you feel beautiful isn't just a materialistic choice--it's self-expression and an EXPERIENCE and state of mind you are buying for yourself for years. I've also come to realize that looking "put together" can be done in as little as 5-10 minutes after you've made a few investment costs (picking out flattering outfits, staying healthy), and is *so* worth it. Ultimately, too, most of the things we think of as beautiful come from just being.. healthy (physically, mentally, emotionally, the more ways, the more beautiful you'll be inside and out). Thanks for helping me embrace this a little more fully! I do better at work, feel better, and find myself wanting and meeting more people and being more open and excited about the world when I am "put together"--it's like a declaration to myself in the morning that I am proud of who I am and am not afraid to show it. Thanks!
this is such a good video. I haven't been excited about my subscriptions section here on youtube in a while because it feels like videos with actual value to them that make me think have become too rare, but I got really excited about this one
I am glad this showed up in any recommended section because this is what I needed to hear. I agree with you coming from someone who was never put together much. For people that haven’t experienced loss of productivity or shyness due to not presenting yourself well they might think this is shallow or not necessary. But you make really good points!
I absolutely loved this video and it’s so good to see evelinas fashion cafe back in action!! ❤️ this is really inspiring and it makes me wanna go out and buy some nice clothes for myself so I can feel like my best self!
my appearance helps with my confidence. i know i’m intelligent and have many attributes but recently, as a freshman in collegw, it really helps to put myself together and i get compliments and feel pretty 💕
You are right. I put on a dress today and then I looked at myself in the mirror and just added a pair of earrings and a watch and lipstick and what a difference. The dress was nice, but the added accessories made the difference.
YES!!! i agree with these tips so much! I HATE when people say 'why are you putting so much effort in how you look when you're only going to the shop', this video explains exactly why i do that, THANKS EVELINA❤
I definitely feel like I understand what you’re saying to a degree. Personally, I’ve been forced to grow confidence in my life to the point where I don’t care what people think as much anymore (most days). So like I don’t care about leaving the house if I’m just getting groceries when it’s late or something. Like I’ll just wear a sweatshirt! However, if I’m spending hours outside the house I will try to look better but mainly for me I think. I feel like that’s the most important message of all of this and what I wanna get across. Like you should only look good for yourself!
I fully agree with this. Dress everyday like your going to see your worst enemy. It's just basic to put at least a minimal effort into yourself. You feel so much better when you're showered, your shirt is ironed etc. Everyday should be a display/ show of confidence. And it doesn't take 3 hours in the morning
There is so much truth to this. I'm in University and I always loved looking cute for school, even if I was only going for a couple of hours. I feel like a lot of students don't care and only want to show up and come home but I can 100% say every day I feel like I look good, I pretty much have a great day. My overall attitude is so much better when I'm confident.
i recently started my first job as an or nurse and i noticed how i started to put less effort into my everyday outfit/makeup. it is so hard to "see the point" in it when youre low on sleep and you wearing or clothes (basically like pj's), a mask and a cap everyday. :-D thank you for your video! much needed :D
Thank you for making this video. It was the call out that I’ve been needing. I’ve 👏🏼 been 👏🏼 going 👏🏼 through 👏🏼 it 👏🏼 and 100% not living to my fullest potential. I’ve been trying to hide my depression & still going through the motions without skipping a beat, taking care of everyone else and letting myself have what is left. Thank you for this gentle nudge. You’re exactly right. 💜 love from Vegas
This is EXACTLY what I needed! I work night shifts and its just become a habit to not do makeup or have messy hair. But you are one motivating gal! Thank you!
Thank you for posting this video! I work at a job where the dress code is very casual but it’s so hard to constantly think of what to wear. I’d love a video on easy outfits that always look good and I can stick to :)
Great video and yes, your mom was right. Absolutely right. Smile and the world will smile back to you. That’s what taking care of yourself does for you. Look at you. You always look gorgeous! 🤗🥰🥰👍🏻
You're fabulous! thanks for this video! "The point is that if you try to treat every single day like it's a special occasion, life is gonna smile back at you, you're gonna get more opportunities" I love that
I totally agree with you. I always dress up and put make up on even if I'm working from home. I end up being productive and more confident. I missed watching your Fashion Cafe videos. I'm glad you brought it back!
This is the 2nd time this week that I have been given this advice. The other day at the hair salon, one of the stylists mentioned how when she was first postpartum at home with her newborn, she made it a point to always take a shower, put on clean clothes and do her hair/makeup so she would feel like herself rather than just a "mom" version of herself. Not to say that moms in and of themselves aren't badass (because obviously they are), but just because you give birth, it doesn't mean that the person you were before just ceases to exist. I think this is great advice, and I am going to give it a try.
I’m a college student doing my masters degree so I’m 25 and I would love to see a video of how to not look like a college hobo (sweats and leggings) but not business attire either lol the in between
This was very helpful cause my mom has always told me to always but a bit of effort in and I never listened but now I’ve tried bringing myself together and I just feel great in myself thank you 😊
Evelina, thank you for making this video. Truly uplifting and feel I needed someone to tell me this. I recently got injured and I’ve been wearing sweats out of the house every day, not putting the usual effort Im used to putting for myself and I truly didn’t realize how this would affect me. Not caring how I’ve come out if the house everyday was a way to make me feel unnoticed because I thought to myself, why would I want attention when I am injured I don’t feel well and I don’t want attention. I wanted to hide from everyone. This was in September, well that way of thinking set me up for severe depression, mood swings and a whole lot of other things because I actually started caring less and less for myself. I even started getting in the habit of being late! Recently, my bf broke up with me and I can’t believe that’s what it took for me to try to start caring for myself again. I haven’t used make up as usual but just seeing your video really uplifted me and sparked something up in me that I truly feel l need to start taking care of myself again. I will try the 21 day challenge that you talked about, I started about 3 days ago dressing back to how I usually dress and skipping the sweats outside for now. I feel that we are meant to take care of ourselves... This was a pleasant video Evelina, I actually miss watching your RUclips videos. I’ve been subscribed for years but RUclips had stopped recommending you until today. I’m happy I scrolled down to catch up on a few of your videos. Much love, xo! 💖
This is a topic I've been very aware of lately! I am about to start a new job so I cleaned out my closet and refreshed my daily routine to incorporate more put together outfits. It makes me feel more confident and like a capable adult 😅 I've noticed such a change in my productivity and self-esteem. Such a timely video! Really enjoyed it!
This is SO TRUE !!! Ive been trying to “put myself together” every time im out of the house since i started my new job. Which requires me to look put together hehe all professional and shit. But it has made a huge difference in myself confidence and i see that i talk to more people and I attract more people to me because of how i look and the confidence that it gives me🤩 not saying that looks are all you need but it’s something that helps out tbh. Thank you soo much for this reminder ❤️
I agree on choosing the right clothes but you were right sleeping a bit more back then...if you hadn't enough sleep you look tired and your eyes are puffy and dark circled.Sleep Is the best beauty routine!
once my cousin said "when you look better you feel better and when you feel better you do better."
Wise cousin ❤️
Sounds like every relative who you have to mute after they share too many inspirational quotes pages
Hell yeah!!
Its soooo true
Wearing clothes that are made by child slaves is supposed to make us feel better?
Please create the outfits for jobs - I feel so not confident at work because I cannot style my work clothes to save my life
OMG YESS ! Was just thinking I need a wardrobe for the new job I am starting and I have no clue whatsoever ...
Same here. starting a new job soon and the season’s changing too. Could really use some inspiration!
Quit your job
🕳 nope!
Take the kibbe body type test, it's life-changing
I can relate to your mom's approach. I have two children. When I first came home from the hospital with a new baby each day I always got up, showered, make up and dressed in clothes (not pajamas) everyday. It really helped me not get depressed or feel isolated. I work from home. I still shower, make up, hair, dress in clothes (not pajamas) everyday. Definitely has a positive effect.
Angelstar8 do true! I feel like even when you’re super busy you can always still try and make room for a little time for yourself🙏🏻
Angelstar8 thank you 🙏
Yes they also say if you are sick or healing from something you get better fatser when you are in normal clothes and not pj's
Omg same here haha I definitely try harder now that I have a kid its kinda funny how that works. Before I didn’t care about my appearance but now that I’m a working mom I get up and I try harder for my appearance.
Inspiring
If I fall into the "what does it really matter, nobody is gonna see anyway, I'm only walking the dog, I will take it off in a few hours anyway..." - spiral I always feel worse. Always! It's like I'm losing respect for myself to some degree. So I totally agree with this. It doesn't have to be crazy out there, a little bit of mascara and a cute pony tail goes a long way and can increase my mood a lot and actually motivate me to do more.
Cat23 so true babe! How you treat yourself teaches others how to treat you! ❤️
Bianca Evans Yes, yes, yes
@Cat23 I envy you in a way - being comfortable with less is my goal - I feel bad for taking too much time on makeup - I think “who am I trying to impress?” but it’s more for me - I’m just so picky I fiddle with everything and almost can’t “stop” messing with it.
I literally did this so much during second year of university and on the days I said it doesn’t matter I won’t see anyone I end up walking into my crush
So true! I needed this exact comment 🤍
"If you *stay* ready you ain't ever got to *get* ready."
At 4:28, she starts to list the reasons why you should put yourself together.
1) It sets your attitude for the day
2) Lifts your self esteem
3): you'll want to do more things and feel like you're putting your best foot forward.
4) You never know who you will run into
5) People will take you more seriously when you're put together.
6) It's part of your self care routine and helps your mental state.
7) It increases your productivity.
(Mentions "The Power of Habit" Book and take 21 days to make it a point to put yourself together to build the habit)
Awww thank you so much for doing this!
I dressed sassy to cool to work yesterday. I felt soo mucg better, I felt really good about myself, and yeah when I dress nice my attitude changes, people look at me differently, more compliments, more confidence ♥
I bought this book and read half of it and it’s been seriously sitting on my shelf for months lol. This inspired me to start reading it again
4 is really important for networking or finding you're special one
thanks, man! i dont have to "waste" time watching! love people like you💛
You're 30 and I deadass thought you were 22. I hope I look like you when I'm 30!
Helane Ruslan no way she’s 30 omg
25
It’s not diet. She’s skinny and when you’re skinny you look younger and then the rest is genetics.
I'm 42!
Oh wow !!! Doesn’t look anywhere close to it
“Every day is a special occasion” love that.
She said every time you run into a enemy, or ex boyfriend you’re gonna look like shit 😂😂 this is so true. I don’t know why life works like that either! Man, I felt that deeply. Hahaha.
girl same😂😂😂
Once I ran into friends of my ex, and even though I looked on point, lost a lot of weight AND felt great, they gave me that mean smile and I couldn't help but question that and feel insecure. 😅 But it's all ok, there will always be people who will act like assholes to you, they don't matter.
Ohhh my gawd yes 😂😂
You are right! And I think it might be a European thing to always look put together. I noticed that from my euro friends and their moms. Their mothers taught them that. But I think it’s a good habit because it sets the mood and tone of your day and life! Whenever I go out looking bummy I feel blah and not so confident. When I do put time and effort into my appearance I always feel good about myself and motivated. I’ve been following habits that my euro friends do and it’s been life changing! Like putting myself together, eating appropriate portions of food, drinking more tea and walking more. It’s awesome
Frances Elizabeth this is spot on!!!! they don’t get comfy even if they’re home alone until it’s bedtime for the most part
Frances Elizabeth It’s not European . They do this all around the world except the U.S. lmao. Women here look messy a lot ..
I don't think this is shallow at all. Change your behavior to change your mood, classic psychology
YES! we need a lookbook/styling outfits video
oh lala I knoww it’s been so long!
Capsule wardrobe challenge!!
Drinking game: Take a shot every time I say "put-together".
My fav RUclipsR.❤
Evelina CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!!
Evelina Thanks girl, making me drunk first thing in the morning 😂
Lol I didn’t even notice 😂 great video 😘
Currently getting my stomach pumped. Good game
i noticed when i wear a cute outfit .. my mood is different. I feel good, pretty and confident. This past year.. i would go to the lab in pyjamas or sport clothes. My studies would give me so much stress and i would pass all day inside in front of the computer at the lab.
Since then, i try a little extra effort to put up outfit concept.
hajeraa yessss that’s exactly what I’m trying say❤️
Agree 10000% - such wise words!!
“If you start to treat every day like a special occasion, life is going to smile back at you... it opens up opporutnity for even more special things to happen”
“At the end of the day you should treat yourself as a friend you want to help”
Give yourself the best chance to seize the day!
Thank you!
Yessss! It's so easy to slip into a bad mindset when you're going through changes. Hope you feel better soon💝
I found out that wearing matching or fancy lingerie lifts my mood up and makes me feel more confident
@@evelina thank you! :)
However I don't wear makeup, I like my skin to be completely free of products, it works best for me, and what's most important is to do what works best for you, same for my hair, always natural, I have curly hair so it's always down, I never straighten it, however I'm experimenting with different hairstyles!
adviceologie 👏🏻 👏🏻
Thanks Evelina for the push :)
tiffselectric awww so happy to hear! Thank you for watching and supporting!
This is really good advice!
“You never know who you are gonna meet for the first time”
this is sooo true!
I’m attractive enough that I look gorgeous in pretty much anything
haha love this
d gaf thats a lie
NFD RAMBLES you know your right. Not in pretty much anything; it’s just anything. Always appreciate the love!
I Stan
That sounds like conceit...
Yesss and it also makes you motivated to learn, and honestly people admire you (even if they won’t admit it)
This is so true.... the days I put effort into what I wear and feel confident about my look are ALWAYS better days. PLEASEEE help with work outfits!
Please do a 9-5 semi-casual but put together work life outfits 😍🙌
I agree so much with this. I was trying to "embrace" my natural self by not wearing make-up and dressing up nicely, taking selfies etc. for several weeks but I actually felt so much worse. I felt a dullness in myself, a loss of identity and no motivation to go out and do things. I did learn to not feel embarrassed by my bare face but you're so right about the psychological uplifting effect that making yourself look good gives.
"Looking good" is subjective. What does this comment even mean...lol.
The music is way too loud, I‘d prefer to listen only to you, you have so much to say!
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video!
Couldn’t agree more! You never know what opportunity is gonna present itself when you’re looking and feeling your best every single day. And it truly does change your attitude! Even on days you’re not feeling so great, put on a great outfit and let it do it’s magic!
Yes yes! Thank you for this. I've been slowly realizing that not doing this has been negatively affecting my life.
Evelina, this is SUCH good advice. The way u put it really makes sense. Been trying to articulate this point to myself for years.
Nirvanageddon 🙏🏻🥰
Keep it coming.
she needs a better mic!! I would love to be able to hear her more clearly ✨
Michelle Koi I agree! The music can be at a lower volume and she can also use a mic. That would be perfect
shes BACK I almost cried when you sang ily
Molly Heron Delaney honestly!
I was brought up to always look my best when leaving the house. My father would always say to look your best because when you look good people treat you good. It's so true. I've noticed I get better treatment than people who don't look so put together.
I really like this video, especially as I’m starting the school year and I’m trying to be more confident
💝💝💝
your mom is so right. I really need to do this more often
I would love outfits for specific body types! I have a crazy long torso and really short legs. Idk how to dress for that!
High waisted a-line skirts? Dresses with belts?
I have the same problem. High waisted skinny jeans in dark colors are your best friend!
@@purplepoppy07 not necessarily dark colors. It depends if there is an excessive weight or not.
Yassss, please! I need ideas for work. Office outfits. Idk so I end up wearing the same or a dress because it's easy but it doesn't look complete....
*Fashion, fashion, it's Evelina's Fashion Café - woo!*
The nostalgia is real!
I've never seen a more satisfying bronze and makeup together. It's so warm and beautiful my god!
thanks for including the stay at home moms!! This is great advice!!
LorLor12 aw of course! Thanks for watching❤️
Oof I do dress up nice every day but I feel so much prettier without make up
me ze you don’t need makeup to feel pretty :-) it’s about what brings you confidence!

I LOVE YOUR CONFIDENCE
You can put tainted moisturizer doesnt have to be a lot.
@@velvet123 lmao "tainted*
As a server, my coworkers say “When I don’t wear makeup or do my hair cute, I don’t get tipped”
And I told her back that it sometimes may be the physical aspect, but I know when I feel like I look ugly I am way less likely to look people in their eyes and act as vibrant and outgoing as when I have makeup on and look cute 🤷🏼♀️
Treat yourself like a friend you want to help 💜💜
Great video
“and at the end of the day you should treat yourself as a friend that you want to help “💖💖💖💖💖
I haven't been excited about my subscriptions section here on youtube in a while because it feels like videos with actual value to them that make me think have become too rare, but I got really excited about this one
valerie ahhhh that means so much! Much more coming 🥰😭🙏🏻
I just recently re-started this habit and it has been life changing! My mom is like your mom, always dressed up and put together.
I 100% agree with your theory...looking good makes u feel good
i recently started my first job as an or nurse and i noticed how i started to put less effort into my everyday outfit/makeup. it is so hard to "see the point" in it when youre low on sleep and you wearing or clothes (basically like pj's), a mask and a cap everyday. :-D thank you for your video! much needed :D
Love how you said you should treat yourself like a friend...💗
Thank you for making this video. It was the call out that I’ve been needing. I’ve 👏🏼 been 👏🏼 going 👏🏼 through 👏🏼 it 👏🏼 and 100% not living to my fullest potential. I’ve been trying to hide my depression & still going through the motions without skipping a beat, taking care of everyone else and letting myself have what is left. Thank you for this gentle nudge. You’re exactly right. 💜 love from Vegas
Yassssss, I've been here since the very first Fashion Cafe, and I'm so excited to see you bringing it back 🤗✨
K A T that makes me so happy!!
I totally agree with this - it's a mental pick me up to put some care into yourself, just by being thoughtful!
I’m a college student doing my masters degree so I’m 25 and I would love to see a video of how to not look like a college hobo (sweats and leggings) but not business attire either lol the in between
Well I'm no longer in college so now I'm just a regular hobo lol
Wear basics, they're effortless and always work, but dress them up with some accesoiries. And bam !
you can always wear jeans and a blouse, you can also buy a blazer and throw that on whenever you feel like it.
This was very helpful cause my mom has always told me to always but a bit of effort in and I never listened but now I’ve tried bringing myself together and I just feel great in myself thank you 😊
every single point you hit in the "before i didnt do this and that" is literally me rn i am so glad to have found this
Evelina, thank you for making this video.
This is so true, it changes your entire mood!
I love this , we all know when we look good , we feel good. So , the minimal effort even goes a long way!
I agree on choosing the right clothes but you were right sleeping a bit more back then...if you hadn't enough sleep you look tired and your eyes are puffy and dark circled.Sleep Is the best beauty routine!
