Try instead of using the plug use your heaven mix and put fairy lights inside.. I think that would be just as lovely
Yes, definitely go live Michele. Please, everyone would love it.
Love it! When you were pouring all that resin in, I was trying to tell you, “what about the plug!” 😂
For the larger mold, how about doing a clear resin with one of those iridescent roses inside it. I think that would be very pretty. The little roses will obscure the view of the inside rose a bit, though. A rose within roses… I’d love to see that.
same here i couldnt believe i was shouting to michelle through the screen lol
LOL gotta keep you all on your toes LOL ya know, entertainment LOL - Great ideas though!
Absolutely beautiful, I love roses.
You should dust the floater with the chameleon powder as well.
I was going to suggest the same thing❤
@@vittoriawheaton3283same 😊
Seems everyone thought of that EXCEPT ME!! LOL
See, I told you that you would be surprised how well it floats.
I was going to suggest sanding and uv. Let's Resin also has a sand and buff kit that does a great job of bringing the shine back.
And like someone mentioned you could do it in clear, with the plug and put a light under it and it would give off shaped reflections and make a great night light.
Thank you!! It worked just like you said! I don't know why I doubted LOL
How do you make the silicone tea light piece?
How did you make the resin plug?
I used a shot glass. I sprayed it with mold release first, or it's impossible to get out. But after I made the ones I sent to Michelle, I found plastic shot glasses at DT. With plastic, you can just break it away and not struggle to remove it.
If you can't find a shot glass (plastic or glass), some prescription bottles will work as long as they are smooth inside. You might need to cut the upper Parr of the bottle off first, though. Or even a paper cup if you carefully tape the inside with resin tape to protect the silicone and paper from sticking.
Another possibility is a small 60g silicone mixing cup. To keep the silicone from sticking, just put a very thin layer of Vaseline, aka petroleum jelly inside the mixing cup, before pouring in the silicone. And I used Let's Resin silicone.
It is beautiful. I love the Rose's as well. I bet it would look pretty with clear resin and dried flowers showing thru the roses
I love it. I would pour a transparent resin of any color and some floating glitter. Put it in a base light. Or make them into kissing balls for Christmas or weddings ❤❤❤
I'm definitely trying that next time I think!
We all make mistakes ❣️Use a plastic spoon to dip it out. Keep some handy because you never know!
Make a topiary in a cute pot as a center piece for any table 😉
Julie with Pouring Your Heart out put a metal skewer through her thick druzy inlay to lay on top of her mold and it worked perfectly, that may be something to try next time if you still have the fear of it being off centered.
Yes a live would be awesome and late evening is best for me!
Yes agree.
Place a stirring stick across the "plug" with a drop of super glue. Then place the ends of the stick on supports on ether side of the mould. You can alter the height of the supports to adjust how deep the plug sits in the resin.
If you fill up the mold with resin to the height you want your candle plug, let dry then put the silicon candle plug in and fill to the top with resin. Once dried take out your plug and you have a perfect candle holder.
yes go live everyone will be there!
I made a lamp from it . Rushed a light mica and filled it with clear and put it on a wooden lamp base.❤
Good idea!
yes i would enjoy a live video
I'd watch if you did a live. And what you are making will be gorgeous
love the abyss
Lol, that was very entertaining. But turned out beautiful.
Love 💕 this video !!! Beautiful new glitter also
Yes go live but after the holidays. This is adorable. ❤❤❤
OH for sure after the hustle and bustle...
Beautiful! Lovely colour.❤
Love the color. So pretty
Matt. You want a flat bottom just uv resin a spot on the bottom, I say clear resin but hight just the tips of the roses with mica powder and put it on a light
That was my thought for next time!! LOL
Beautiful holder 🕯🕯
I love those molds .
I really like it 😍 Simple, but so beautiful ❤
I would have poured it where it was transparent and then set it on top of the tea light so you could see all those beautiful flowers you worked so hard on.
So pretty 😍 yes a live wouid be great but I do pop on random times of the days depending on work and life.
Do the mold in a clear resin then fill void with liquid and stuff. Cap it and it’s a shaker mold
Love it. Great fix. You could use sand/rocks in your resin and make a paperweight ❤x
Use clear resin and use as a night light cover for those lights with already in a base
That IS a beautiful mold! Thank you! 🌹
You are so welcome!
You could try a clear or possible resin with glitter then put lights inside the hole and make a night light.
It turned out beautiful, I love the colors. Maybe try brushing the powder on the bottom and sides of the plug.
I wish I thought of that!!!
So beautiful 😍 Never feel embarrassed about how the process goes. It’s only natural for things to not go perfect, right?!?! lol Awesome job 😊
Thanks ☺️
Hi Michelle. You could use the chameleon powder on the plug as well. It's beautiful either way
I wish I thought of that!!
You just dive in and expect the worst yet hope for the best. You got this 👍 ❤
So true!
It did turn out beautiful! I don't know what I would have done differently . I think I would give away the molds! Ha! Or..do it clear with a few little flowers in it and still put that plug in only put a light in it . ...turn it so the light goes in the bottom. 🥴
BEAUTIFUL ❤❤❤❤❤❤ love roses too.
Thank you! 😊
Wow that’s soooo beautiful!!
Thats a really pretty mould i think it would look nice as a centre piece on weddings tables or valentines with a few artificial flowers in it
That's a great idea!!
Beautiful, maybe you could use it as a paper weight or a door stop🤔
I bet this would be so pretty with the tea light under it (turn the whole thing upside down over the light) with the resin a light color and light mica
You're right!! I will try that next time!
I think I would make a few of them and use them as decoration in a basket on the coffee table. You know how you see all the balls in a basket? I think that would look nice.
You did a great job on it. I just love watching you, you Crack me up! 😊
Have a blessed day 🙏
What a great idea!! I'll def be making more!
Oh my gosh, this is SO me! That mica is amazing gorgeous & just requested to join your FB group, very much looking forward to it
Awesome!!
I love it Michelle it is beautiful. You are so cool to listen to.
Thanks!!!
maybe use a skewer to suspend the plug in the center? I think a candle (electric) under the globe would be beautiful if you used clear resin with rose petals or light glitter. very nice molds!
I will try that next time for sure!
Thinking after the finish…maybe clear with the roses painted and light under the bottom shining through…hope that makes sense…my brain…hehe🤷🏾♀️❤️
That is what I was originally going to do! I will do it again for sure!
Paper weights. Imagine what you can put in them with clear resin.
I agree!
Right!! I will definitely try that!
If you take a skewer and run it across the top just under the top layer of the plug, you can rest the skewer on the top of the mold and it holds the plug in place where you want it
Great idea!
get Don to flatten bottom bit more and it will be more stable. good job. maybe do water in mold test in a sink or bowl and then add the plug between two forks and that minuses the water displacement, then pour water back in measure jug and that's the resin amount.
Great idea!!
I would love to see you live. I'm in the same time zone as you and I have Monday and Tuesday off 😂
How about pouring a bit in the base, curing then putting the plug in and pouring the rest?
I’d love you to go live (watching from Canada and usually watch in the morning)
Try using clear resin and the plug. Then put it over the candle upside down .
I started using canned air to clean excess mica powder off my molds. I no longer have floating mica!
Really pretty
Silicone sticks to silicone. Try placing the plug inside the mold at the top of the sphere. That way, you have a flat bottom. Maybe try a translucent color that the light can shine through like a marabou alcohol ink
OH great idea!! if it stayed in place....
Absolutely ! The first live was fun! I’m in KCMO so central time. In other words I usually get your post around 10 pm. Like I’ve told you before you’re usually the last thing I watch at night, lol. I’m with the group that was yelling the plug!! btw, lol
Awesome! Thank you!
Turn out nicely
Michelle you could try putting the biggest spear mold you can fit inside of the big rose mold, basically the way you do when making a snow globe and then you could make it into a change jar or a pen holder, it could hold anything someone wanted to use it for lol, and if u dust the outside of the spear mold it would be chameleon inside and out. Hope to see you give it a try I'm dying to see how it would turn out.❤❤❤
Yes! That's a great idea!!
Great idea for sure!!
You know one of the reasons I watch you? Because you sound like me when I’m working! Except I don’t have a camera on, lol. You’re messy, and creative, and just so….normal. Thought I’d throw that in.
LOL Thanks! I think LOL
@@glitznglitterbymichelle1 it’s all good. I like me too lol. I really hate videos where’s there’s no mess. Too many reasons to make me feel like a slob lol.
If only I could have a bed with those as the posts! So beautiful and vintage looking!
LOL great thinking that would be so cool!
Just as an ornament upside down looks great,I'm love the the detail of the flower and to say you weren't sure of this piece you did another great job Michelle 🎉🎉
Thank you so much!
So cute😊
🎉Very pretty 😍
It’s beautiful
Hello from Mumbai, India. I just came across this video which i enjoyed watching. I have a few suggestions for you.
1) i have also made a tealight holder using a mold i made out of a normal bowl. I also made the plug but my plug was taller than the bowl mold which made it very easy to pull out once the resin was cured. Took a few jiggles and it came out easily.
2) in such tight molds i pull apart a small area and squirt in some isopropyl alcohol and rub it all inside so the cured piece is as covered with it as possible and the resin piece just pops out. Do give it a try its never fail.
Wish you a happy and creative 2024
Thanks!! When I remember I do squirt in alcohol or soapy water and it works great! Happy New Year!
Good job
I have to admit I was hollering at my screen.. what about the floaty thingy!! lol.. I do like the mold and will be looking for it now! Thanks Michelle. 🤗🤗💕💕💙💙
LOL 😁
The flowers are beautiful!
I wonder if you could UV it to the bottom of the mold so that when you demold the candle 🕯️ holder would be at the top! 😊
Great idea!
Pretty!!
I think we all would be there if you went live. The glitters OMG. They are stunning! The candle holder is so pretty. I could see it being used as a paperweight. ❤
A decorative sphere
Use sewing straight pins pushed into what ever you are using as an insert to balance insert on and don’t fill the mold to the top. Pour mostly to top and then when set pull the pins and then top off your resin.
Great idea!!
Michelle my table is absolutely level but my curing machine is not.
I have to put pop sticks under one side to level it up.
Your candle holder is beautiful.
hmmm maybe don't use your curing machine till its gel'd up enough not to move any...
I would put powder on the tea light plug also, so that it's pretty and not just black. 🤔 I hope the chameleon powder isn't to opaque to cure. 😱 I have 4 ideas for how to use it, 1) door-stop 2) paper weight 3) use 4 of them to hold down a table cloth outside 4) to throw at an intruder! 😳 LOL 😆 😄
So many said to paint the plug and I can't believe I didnt' think of that LOl Thank you for all the ideas! I def want to make others now.
Hi Michelle. I made some plugs with sort of V shaped wires stuck in so when using the plug the wire rests on the outside of the mould. This keeps the plug centred and the wire is high enough so as not to touch the opening of the mould. If you can understand what I mean. Gorgeous mould - it would be lovely in a transparent colour. 🇦🇺💚
Great idea!
Put the plug in taped, then pour.
Ooh nice you could us resin some pearls along the top edge
Great idea!
Maybe you could make one transparent and sit it over the battery operated candle.
That is beyond stunning!!!!!
I'm personally not a fan of lives, so I watch them later. That way I can fast forward past the parts that don't interest me. But i know my opinion isn't typical.
I think making it in translucent colors with clear resin and put plug in just like you did only the candle would be at the bottom this time.
I think I will be doing that next time!
We used a silicone squishy ball with a rubberband tied around the top of the ball and then suspended that from two popsicle sticks that we laid across the top. Just could not fill it all the way to the opening of the mold.
Very pretty mold, suppose you can pour a light pastel color or your new glitters like that gold into the mold, insert the plug and turn the cured resin piece with the hole facing down over the tea light battery candle. Thanks for sharing ❤
I use a air can to get extra off
Michelle you had me rolling on the floor laughing.😂❤😂❤😂. The candle holder is just beautiful.
LOL happy to be of service LOL LOL
A snow globe or something like that
Maybe a night light?
You can make it clear and turn it upside down on a little light. Such a fun mold. Thank you for sharing. Listening to your thought process helps me think thru my projects ❤
Great idea!! I haven't done one of these yet so any recommendations are appreciated LOL
Love the mold. Pretty with the roses. Probably look great translucent with a tea light. I’d imagine would put patterns of the roses on the wall. ❤❤❤ the mold. 🥰
A paperweight would be nice.
It really is a pretty mold - and that galaxy chameleons powder, very nice. Your new glitters are 🧨!
Thank you 🤗
Maybe a doorstop or paperweight
I would come to you live shoe!! So funny!
I was saying no no you have to put the plug in lol.
LOL 😁
Once placing the plug what about placing tape over it to keep it in place
Love the flowers and colors🥰
Haven't watched to the end yet. But it seems to me like there's no, not gonna be a flat bottom on it for it to sit, right, maybe if you stick the plug on the bottom with some glue or somethat way the plug will be In what would be the top
Yeah I didn't think of that till de mold LOL
