I love that you talk through your process. And I love everything that you do because I feel like you’re real. Personally, and professionally. But not everybody talks. I do a lot of videos that I don’t talk in. Now when I’m editing them, I will put comments on the screen. maybe the brand of resin that I use. Or the brand of Mica the brand of ink etc... But I’m not actually planning on being a RUclipsr. I just post content because I like to share. And there’s a lot of people that just watch because they get satisfaction out of watching the process. so even if you didn’t talk. I would still watch you. So, with that being said. Everybody does things differently. You’re different from me. And my neighbors different from the neighbor down the street. So thank you for your content. Beautiful job on the coasters 😊

💖Ohhh again, just seeing this now and I'm loving these PINK and red mixed tones!! This color will always make me stop and watch no matter what. I love how the top came out and the beautiful sheer shimmer. The edges do look very pretty as they are but I wonder if you have considered using a holographic nail polish on the edges? I did nails for 20 plus years and my clients went crazy when they came out. The "halo" look was very big and I remember thinking there had to be more I could do with these beautiful polishes. Maybe as a finisher, that would be an idea vs using the pens? Just a thought.. thank you so much for this beautiful sparkly eye candy video, enjoyed how you guaranteed a successful ending, so clever! 💖

@@glitznglitterbymichelle1 ooh I hope so too, I think it would open up a whole new spectrum of beautiful accents. There are some amazing holographic polishes that have mirror shine out there. I see that many of the colors used in resin are similar to the ones I used to use in my polish collections. That or the chrome collections. Anyway, excited.. will keep an eye out!

I'd say not to do the edges, or maybe a very thin line just around the edge of the top with gold. 💙
Here's a tip...
If you pour micas directly to silicone, they will stick and not blend.
If you would have poured a ring of clear, then add your micas on top of that clear and your white. They would have blended beautifully.

Make your white just a bit stronger and you will get the most amazing web like effects.😊

I am new to your channel and I must say I love the coasters. I have never tried the UV resin trick, it is a great way to make a save or just a really pretty piece. Thanks for the tip and doing an experiment that we can watch. I will definitely be watching you in the future. As for the outline, I would use silver just on the top edge. A very thin line would look elegant.

You can do geode by Puddle pouring, too.
If you can find the video, I'll see if I can give you an idea of what was done differently. I do think your white needs to be more opaque. I do mine until I can barely see my stick when Iift it out.
And I just remembered one of my best geodes, I put a tiny amount of pearlex micropearl in the white.
It's been so long since I did one I need to practice again. I started doing crushed ice effects from Petra Gerbracht instead of geodes.
As for the sides, I would paint them silver. ❤

Pouring your heart out is a very creative resin artist who loves to experiment and and test new techniques for resin. She explains everything and why it happens. How you mix your white makes a huge difference. When it's very opaque the resin is a lot heavier and can fall through your resin. I think that may have been why your white didn't work! Some people don't want you to know what they are doing, that's why they don't talk.
I learned from watching Julie as we all probably have, I just don’t watch her much anymore because I’m not into all those coasters she’s been doing lately. They’re pretty but I figured you all can watch her for those and I want to bring you all a bigger variety.
Color the sides in silver. Put some stickers on the backs to dress them up.

I do this technique to get a web effect. But I pour a thin layer of clear first so my resin starts moving. Petra does this too.
