I have been working on that song on and off for the last year or so, (more off than on,) and I find that it is a little more on the challenging side because of the way that the vocal rhythm interacts with the strumming pattern.

This video is PERFECT for when :
    - You're starting to get a decent grip on your guitar
    - Someone sees you play and tells you how good you are
    - You go "Thanks, but mehh..."
    - They go "You're full of shit"
    - You show them this video
    - Lightbulb on

But it's ain't about the skills
What made Autumn leaves so essential in jazz is because it's about expressing the feeling of every musician that plays it

That’s what guitar kinda is, these skills are personalized developments, improvements of self.
I love it and see guitar as a real expression of emotion.
It’s not complicated, it’s expressing the full extent of someone’s emotions, the other stuff is just to make it sound nicer to other people.

All jazz standards are frameworks in which musicians can bring their own interpretation knowing that the other musicians are all working towards the same end. Music is a language. Jazz is a dialect of that language. You can say things in many ways but as long as they make the same point, you are on key.
