My first time encountering one of these was in the dark while i had a torch and i just saw this spider thing coming towards me and i felt my soul leave my body
Me and my sister found this randomly yesterday, while playing the game for the first time. We didn't realise it could move before I walked past it with a torch because we needed more firewood. It followed me back to the fire, and just kinda stayed, we call it Rosie.
The same thing happened to us but we were scared to find out what that thing was, so we tried to burn it, but when the fire went out we ran out of there, luckily our base was far
The first time I encountered a stagehand I was so freaked out that I abandoned my nearby camp and risked dying in winter to camp somewhere else far from it. I died ten days later because I was avoiding the stagehand all the time and had to take the longer way to find resources, starving myself slowly and wasting time. Then I learned that it does nothing beside scaring the shit out of you

Maybe they DO have something to do with lore? I dunno. interesting either way though.

The worst thing about the stagehand is when you leave base to go somewhere at night and you come back to see it there And then when it wont go away and just becomes a nuisance taking up space at base

I have never been more angry at a table than when I played dst with friends, had low sanity and saw a stagehand shamble out of the darkness. This thing SUCKS!

We didnt care because why would we? We went to sleep and when woke up.. I kid you not it turned into the end table. I have no idea why it happened and i am still confused as ever.
6:00 this method for fighting may not be useful for most giants, but it is STRAIGHT GOLD when fighting Klaus himself. Trust me on this one, I’ve used this method countless times to fight him. Highly recommend.

When it got darn and she made fire there was just a lot of her screaming about how the table was walking towards her. 😂 We did some research and figured out it was the Stagehand but it freaks us out so much we try to stay away from it. Fast forward and I’m in the woods for the night (restarted in a new map) and when morning hits I continue my journey only to notice the stagehand sitting in the middle of the woods, not far from where I’d lit trees on fire the night before. We travel a little father down and find the ring of roses and I realize the stagehand was on it’s was to sneak up on me, had night been any longer it would’ve scared me. 😂😂😂

The reason the stagehand might search for the light is because in any theater worth its salt there is a Ghost Light put up by the last hand to leave for the night. Depending on who you ask, there are different reasons for this. But the spirits of stage hands past will always head towards the light.......makes me wonder if at least 1 of the Dev's is/was a stage hand before...

Further facts!: the stagehand will always spawn near the ponds biome if you have one! Chester will always be near the stagehand as well so look out!
