Bit of a correction regarding Wendy and the Moon Dial. During a full moon Wendy can turn Abigail into a Gestalt with it, but during a NEW moon it can revert her to being a Ghost.
The sheer disappointment I felt when Wendy's lunar tree turns abigail into a gestalt but the shadow tree doesn't turn her into a nightmare creature... Like, cmon, the nightmare bishop already has an AoE damage field type of attack, it could be the perfect way to have players choose between 'unparalleled area damage' or 'extremely potent single target damage'

@@ethaphu5589characters are switch characters because there's no significant benefit to staying as them. You don't have to treat them as such but it's definitely an issue that they can be considered as such there should be a reason to stay as them.
Wendy's tree is by far the worst. Walter just needs some love and refinement. And Wortox's is stupid good even if half of it isn't. That's how amazing the "Nice Tree" actually is.
@@TheBeard777 only good thing about Wendy is the health abby health buff and the flower armor. The scare is maybe the only second but it is really basic and niche since Abi will just mulch most things that get scared. The armor basically makes Wendy the best tank in the game. Being artificially given 1.25 damage and over 600 health as long as Abby doesn't take a hit.
For Walter looked like the thulicite slingshot was that it had two different slots for ammo so you could do a utility ammo like the honey, poop or freeze rounds and then easily shoot with your damage rounds work ease.
I wish Wendy's skill tree was more geared towards teamwork with Abigail than just random stuff, like removing the gravestones and dark petals thing and instead adding actually useful stuff, like Abigail having more health, or dealing more damage. The tonic upgrade is also really disappointing, I was hoping it'd add new special tonics like the slingshot ammo for Walter. I also think the Shadow tree should be especially focused on Wendy's own resistance to losing sanity, like her "confidence" skill, which I'm guessing reduces overall sanity drain for nearby teammates. This might be really out there, but I also think it'd be cool if the Abigail and Wendy skills were compressed into two different large skill trees, rather than several small ones, even with the ability to give Wendy and Abigail different alignment powers. What about the ability to use Abigail's flower as a weapon, or summoning a damaging field like Abigail in a fixed location? Why can't we just turn Abby into a tanky, high-damage poltergeist? Overall, as a Wendy main, I am VERY disappointed with these skills. I really hope Wendy's get some massive changes.

So Wendy basically turned into the Keeper from Graveyard Keeper. Cool. Save spirits by purifying bodies (Abigail's potions) and place down graves and decorations (Self explanatory). Just make sure that if you find a talking skull that you have plenty of wine. Otherwise it's gonna be a pain in the ass.

@@TheBeard777 Well, I tested it now, and if you wear any armour, you mitigate damage for Abby, I tested with a football helm and she was taking only 11 damage from terrorbeak hits
Okay, after some more testing. Only damage Wendy would take gets mitigated when it transfers to Abby. If Abby is straight up tanking, nothing happens. Really good interaction anyways.
I feel like Walter should have a skill to make him restore sanity when healing, that way you can balance the loss of the two. Also I love how Wortox gets more benefits from being nice!
I noticed that Wortox' tree is budgeted out in such a fashion that you can pick the entire naughty or nice side, plus the entire panflute branch, plus an affinity for fifteen points. And you could possibly sacrifice the panflute skills to opt into the opposing morality branch without knocking your balance out of whack. For a Nice balanced Wortox, I could see opting out of Panflutes in favor of the Soul jar tree, particularly the "Carry more souls" skill. Sould Decoy could be good too, but only if it gets reworked a bit.
aight i know this is beta but i'm a bit disappointed already by wendy and wortox's skill tree, they did become more OP but the skills i feel like aren't creative enough, with wortox I would go the dark mage route, similar to willow basically some special abilities that are cool instead of having a "knabsack" lol that's kinda lame, rather than that give wortox ability to revive dead creatures (for example u kill a tallbird for the loot, u revive it with several souls, then u kill it for more loot), OR... ability to reveal a small area of the map with a soul, OR... give life to inanimate objects like trees turning them into tree guards, give life to carrots turning them into carrats... idk these are the things i would want but we won't get, idk so far willow has the best skill tree in my opinion
I mean I like the knabsack tho, it synergy with the soul jar that are so op, and in the late game is a dark sword with planar damage with 200 uses and no sanity drain
I feel like the commands for Abigail tree could just be added as a base feature and not skilltree tied. The moving gravestones could be given to a special shovel. Petal Conversion could happen naturally with the sisturn or Wendy. Dark Affinity could at the very least give Abigail base shadow strength enhancement. I'm getting the feeling with all three Skill Trees that they're a bit scared of making characters OP, so they have bloated trees of lackluster perks with a few gems when some lines could easily be combined at the very least to make them worth it. And making some crafts base to character and improved via skills instead of dependent on them, like the knapsack and soul jar.
One of the biggest issues with Skilltrees is that more than half of every Skill ever introduced can be basekit, if not more! Which is why Klei sucks at making them consistent because they are seemingly incapable of recreating what they did with Woodie for some reason. His is the foundation of how to make Skilltrees worthy of note. You don't just *add more* for more's sake. You take what you already have and refine them.
My skill tree ideas: 1. Wendy • More skills including dead players giving them more battle and haunting options. Like make 100% chance to spawn spider queen by haunting level 3 spider den or treeguard from hunted tree etc. • Graveyard skills are in my opinion useless. It would be better if you can renew graceyards by using mourning glory, and have a chance to dig out additional mourning glory as well while digging out items from grave (maybe 25% chance) 2) Walter • Bouncing ammo or upgrade to slingshot to make ammo bounces. Increase slinghot ammo damage. • More webby usefull skills and skills focusing on Walter Scout Badges. 3) Wortox • Naughty side: Give wortox new abilities by using soul. For example: Soul llink - linking 2 creatures together, reduced damage deal to creatures and if you kill one of the creature, the other one linked take damage equal to max health of the killed creature. It could also deal double damage, if the killing blow was dealt by Knapsack or be planar. • Knapsack new item could increase by a little your speed for each item in your inventory (not including stacks). • Knapsack damage would increase by the total number of souls in your inventory and soul viles. • Nice side: New abilities focus on wortox hunger and starving. for example: You lose sanity while starving ( instead health), gain more hunger from eating souls (while starving), gain ability to free soul hopping (while starving). Maybe ability to crafting mobs by using souls for materials? • Neutral: Pan Flute skills are good but could be better.
I think the Thulecite mod thing for the Slingshot exists so you can have 2 ammo types available, with the Secondary ammo having that aiming ability so you'll land it more.
No point in trying to get all the precise numbers because they're going to change a lot of it. They even said so this time which only makes me doing this quick all the better just to inform people that it's out in the first place, ya know?
And it's going to get more love soon too! Klei knows they need to refine it and make it better but hopefully they realize that Wendy's is the one that needs to most loving...
If they are going to add pan flute skills, they should really update the mandrakes. They are one of the few mobs that are unrenewable, and they are a plant that have always had a moon connection.
Look forward to this when it's on console in the future as a Wendy player relearning the game. She's already a treat to play solo and I always wondered what kind of skill tree she would get. It's alright, hopefully any changes improve but it's already magnitudes more in depth than noob EZ mode.
Maybe let the knabsack store items in its own inventory (kinda like Maxwell’s shadow storage), That’d give it much more usage. It also could use a flat damage increase, cause it currently just deals as much damage as a spear. As a Wortox main, I love this update! The naughty and nice inclination could also affect Krampus spawn rates in my opinion, great video!
finally Walter is playable instead of a nuisance with his features. The lobger range was desperatly needed otherwise you couldnt even use the slingshot for faster enemys because you always had to break the animation up to not get hit
Note about the scrappy slingshot attachment: It can hold infinite amounts of ammo in its stack! so for that alone its really good. Edit: Note about the badges, you can use up to 6 points worth, level one badges cost 1 and level two badges cost 2. So you can indeed use level two badges immediately and stack it alongside level one badges. Edit 2: fully decorating graves as wendy will spawn a bigspook, which will fight hostile mobs (and probably non wendys but I haven't tested that).
As a main wortox i was kinda hoping for some krampus and Naughtyness interactions, the Naughty tree is a lit disappointed, the soul jar is amazing don't get me wrong, but the sack and de decoy, can be removed completely and they won't be missed, could've have some group dmg buff after using a soul to heal. krampus interactions, like spawn them more often. maybe son Naughtyness count increase when doing some task or thing on the word (no just kill passive mobs). don't know just saying, i loved the good tree and the jar tho. ♥
I think that the knabsack is trash and you need to basically fill half your inventory to use it to its max potential and the revive thing is a little underwhelming and the affinities are trash
If you decorate any of them with 3 flowers it makes a ghost spawn from that grave. You can have multiple graves decorated at once for multiple ghosts. I didn't notice the flowers wearing off after several days or the ghosts staying permanently dead but I need to test it more tomorrow. Got 1 dark flower from one of the graves so far as well. Not sure if it spawned it on it's own or converted a flower I planted close to the grave
Fun thing about wortox's soul attack - it only damages creatures with souls. So it won't work on clockworks or shadows and the like! And in pvp instances, it won't work on wx
Abigail should've been transformed into a nightmare creature for shadow alignment. It fits with the transformation of the lunar side, and could likely deal damage faster, DoT, or even just more damage to lunar enemies at the very least Just always sad when I see the shadow side not as useful as the lunar one, most are honestly just bad or just not interesting, while lunar gets the better stuff
Klei has forgotten a lot of things about their own franchise actually. But that's a topic the majority in this Community don't want to talk about because it highlights how their precious game and Klei can do no wrong.
I thought it might be fun to do playthrough for the character that got the permanent hallowed nights skin out of the holiday drop, I got Wortox's no eyed deer skin and then Wortox gets a skill tree right after that. Also Wendy moving gravestones is OP, automatic werepig farm wherever and whenever you want, no more hoping for a dev graveyard. Also also, the knabsack really doesn't sound good as a weapon, but as a tool I think it has potential, being able to sweep up a pile of items in the ground could be an early game alternative to a lazy forager
Thulecite frame doesnt have Special Shot, It's purpose is multi ammo equip. Basically, using Sticky Ammo/Frost Ammo between main shots. Plus, you can fire it at any range. I was able to land a hit on the other side of my screen using it.
I've seen people bring this up and it makes sense however Klei needs to rephrase it then because "Special Attack" to me sounds like something more than being able to shoot two ammo types at will.
You like Walter's?! It's better than Wendy's but he takes far too many Skills to actually get good which is a problem. They're going to address it I think but that also means more restrictions elsewhere because of it.

please, klei, make it so that wortox can kind of enchant the pomegranate with 1 souls for some kind of buff for wortox and the group, for example for him, every time he eats one, he fills 60 hunger and 1 free local teleport and for allies to teleport close to him when they eat, this will make them value the fruit more, to reference Greek mythology
OK thank god Klei can still make passible skill trees Winona scared me Wendy also being so unphased the people around her also are like "oh this is fine" is hillarious Ok but pleaseeeeee klei let Wendy haunt things (as in have like a thing that does the haunt effect on stuff without her dying) I also think she should also be able to farm flowers somehow. (like I know butterflies are there and they regen with rain but I wanna decorate >:U) (I'm also hoping they add a few more petal animations to her)
they still refuse to make good shadow perks but I was very afraid of the filler "nerf then sell you half of it back but it's still cruddier" precedent they set with winona so my biggest fear is at least somewhat gone
I think wortox’s knabsack should be different My idea is that you would have to put certain stuff in it to make it weigh more kinda functioning like fishing rod bait or Walter ammo So say putting some pieces of marble in the knabsack would make it do a nice amount of damage but swing slower While putting sticks in it would make it not do Alot of damage but swing considerably fast I think this would make the weapon a fun skill to consider investing in, instead of a roadblock to soul jars. Also i feel the knabsack should have some extra range or something This is just my idea to actually make the knabsack a consideration
If you balance between naughty and nice side and pick actually useful perks you get: aoe soul attacks, soul jars, increased soul limit and buffs for helping your teammates and soul hop discount. Excellent tree but affinity part should be changed a bit because it just seems puny.
Walter and Wortox skill trees? Klei is spoiling me this time around As uninspired as the concept of skill trees can be I really like the character updates that they bring (for the most part) even all of the alignment skills can be fun
I mean you do more damage with the nap sack if you have pure horror witch can be got from piggo, so dark sword damage for 2 silk is worth in my opinion. I do understand it has a huge build up tho:)
And I think Wanda is very close to getting one, I've noticed they've released at least one DLC character skill tree every update except for Willow and Wigfrid
As of now, armor would reduce the damage done to Abigail. This, to me, is especially busted, since it makes tanking that much more efficient. Fights like ancient fuelweaver come to mind. Oh, and I don't know whether or not this is a bug, but eating healing food whilst equipping the Floral Shroud will heal abigail instead.
I think Knabsack damage is not based on ammount of slots filled,but ammount of individual items. So it would deal more damage if you filled inventory with stones, sticks etc. instead of staffs

2 questions, 1 what is the scales at top of wortoxs tree, 2 when you said ignore naughty side of tree, did that include soul jars? cause they seem super useful.
That's just to show you what inclination he is leaning towards which leads to some different quotes and slight number tweaks. It doesn't mean much now because in all honesty the only thing on the naughty tree worth a damn are the jars. Everyone should focus on the Nice Branch
Maybe the shadow affinity means that whenever both you or wendy kill anything she does an AoE damage which works much better for hordes of mobs and minions Quite the opposite of the gestalt one
I think the whole thing for having two ammos is for if you want to use two different types. Like if you want to slow a boss with honey on alt and then leave damage for main. Hotswaping would be the same but thats my guess.
maybe the heart has to be squeezed by a different survivor so that they teleport to you? or maybe if they use it while they're dad they will respawn next to you?

Wortox's naughty tree😬 yikes. They shouldve just made like augmented souls or smth that you can throw at enemies. Maybe have certain souls give dmg boosts or attack alongside you? Knabsack sucks (dark sword dmg isnt exciting when we have so many ways of dealing more than 68 *ahem* Wigfrid/Wolfgang). Affinities are...ok ig? Shadow one needs looked at. Soul clones are actually worthless. Waste of 3 insight to even get to the exploding ones. Also agro redirection clearly doesn't work properly. Pan flute ones are interesting but needs to go. Not sure why he gets the benefit of that and no one else... Soul jar is nice. It's what i was really looking forward to when his tree came out. The fact they made so you hold several is kinda wild imo. Nice tree is, as you said, busted and totally makes his tree not worthless! Can't wait to see what they cook the upcoming weeks!

So wartox has new lines when naughty or nice involving souls. being low being full or overloading pretty cool for knowing if your wartox is a healer or not

The naughty tree on wortox is valuable just a bit confusingly tuned But soul collecting on that tree is much easier due to the soul aoe effects For me easily best tree in the game
Hmmmmm... I'm kinda lukewarm on Wendy's skill tree. I think they could've done more on the elixirs and ghost interactions, and I agree that her shadow affinity is... gimmicky, at best? Like... hm. You'll probably get better results attacking with Abigail instead of murdering a buncha stuff. Ngl I was expecting her skill tree to have either more focus on elixirs, being able to recruit pipspooks / wild ghosts to create an army (though that's probably Webber / Wurt's thing), or make Abigail more exciting. Looking forward to see you test them some more when the skills aren't buggy anymore!
This time around it seems like Klei is aware of how much refinement they need to give these Trees so I wouldn't be surprised to see A LOT of Walter's and Wendy's trees altered.
@TheBeard777 most mobs are quite squishy anyway and most threats are threatening because of the mob mentality. At least that's the most dangerous type of threat me and my friends encounter. Those damn splumonkeys are at the top. 😄

Just make sure that if you find a talking skull that you have plenty of wine. Otherwise it's gonna be a pain in the ass.

@@TheBeard777 Well, I tested it now, and if you wear any armour, you mitigate damage for Abby, I tested with a football helm and she was taking only 11 damage from terrorbeak hits
Okay, after some more testing. Only damage Wendy would take gets mitigated when it transfers to Abby. If Abby is straight up tanking, nothing happens. Really good interaction anyways.
I feel like Walter should have a skill to make him restore sanity when healing, that way you can balance the loss of the two. Also I love how Wortox gets more benefits from being nice!
I noticed that Wortox' tree is budgeted out in such a fashion that you can pick the entire naughty or nice side, plus the entire panflute branch, plus an affinity for fifteen points. And you could possibly sacrifice the panflute skills to opt into the opposing morality branch without knocking your balance out of whack. For a Nice balanced Wortox, I could see opting out of Panflutes in favor of the Soul jar tree, particularly the "Carry more souls" skill. Sould Decoy could be good too, but only if it gets reworked a bit.

aight i know this is beta but i'm a bit disappointed already by wendy and wortox's skill tree, they did become more OP but the skills i feel like aren't creative enough, with wortox I would go the dark mage route, similar to willow basically some special abilities that are cool instead of having a "knabsack" lol that's kinda lame, rather than that give wortox ability to revive dead creatures (for example u kill a tallbird for the loot, u revive it with several souls, then u kill it for more loot), OR... ability to reveal a small area of the map with a soul, OR... give life to inanimate objects like trees turning them into tree guards, give life to carrots turning them into carrats... idk these are the things i would want but we won't get, idk so far willow has the best skill tree in my opinion
I mean I like the knabsack tho, it synergy with the soul jar that are so op, and in the late game is a dark sword with planar damage with 200 uses and no sanity drain
I feel like the commands for Abigail tree could just be added as a base feature and not skilltree tied.
The moving gravestones could be given to a special shovel. Petal Conversion could happen naturally with the sisturn or Wendy.
Dark Affinity could at the very least give Abigail base shadow strength enhancement.
I'm getting the feeling with all three Skill Trees that they're a bit scared of making characters OP, so they have bloated trees of lackluster perks with a few gems when some lines could easily be combined at the very least to make them worth it. And making some crafts base to character and improved via skills instead of dependent on them, like the knapsack and soul jar.
Who cares about balancing anyways? Its not like these characters are used in any competitive setting

One of the biggest issues with Skilltrees is that more than half of every Skill ever introduced can be basekit, if not more! Which is why Klei sucks at making them consistent because they are seemingly incapable of recreating what they did with Woodie for some reason. His is the foundation of how to make Skilltrees worthy of note. You don't just *add more* for more's sake. You take what you already have and refine them.
The soul pot was so necessary, too bad you have to get that item in the sea to be able to make it

My skill tree ideas:
1. Wendy
• More skills including dead players giving them more battle and haunting options. Like make 100% chance to spawn spider queen by haunting level 3 spider den or treeguard from hunted tree etc.
• Graveyard skills are in my opinion useless. It would be better if you can renew graceyards by using mourning glory, and have a chance to dig out additional mourning glory as well while digging out items from grave (maybe 25% chance)
2) Walter
• Bouncing ammo or upgrade to slingshot to make ammo bounces. Increase slinghot ammo damage.
• More webby usefull skills and skills focusing on Walter Scout Badges.
3) Wortox
• Naughty side: Give wortox new abilities by using soul. For example: Soul llink - linking 2 creatures together, reduced damage deal to creatures and if you kill one of the creature, the other one linked take damage equal to max health of the killed creature. It could also deal double damage, if the killing blow was dealt by Knapsack or be planar.
• Knapsack new item could increase by a little your speed for each item in your inventory (not including stacks).
• Knapsack damage would increase by the total number of souls in your inventory and soul viles.
• Nice side: New abilities focus on wortox hunger and starving. for example: You lose sanity while starving ( instead health), gain more hunger from eating souls (while starving), gain ability to free soul hopping (while starving). Maybe ability to crafting mobs by using souls for materials?
• Neutral: Pan Flute skills are good but could be better.
I think the Thulecite mod thing for the Slingshot exists so you can have 2 ammo types available, with the Secondary ammo having that aiming ability so you'll land it more.
Seems like it! But it's just strange for them to phrase it as a "Special Attack" when it's just an opportunity to have two ammos.

If they are going to add pan flute skills, they should really update the mandrakes.
They are one of the few mobs that are unrenewable, and they are a plant that have always had a moon connection.
They technically are renewable via Klaus, but yeah, a rework would be nice
Look forward to this when it's on console in the future as a Wendy player relearning the game. She's already a treat to play solo and I always wondered what kind of skill tree she would get. It's alright, hopefully any changes improve but it's already magnitudes more in depth than noob EZ mode.
The scrappy mod for Walter holds infinite ammo like a chest upgraded with the elastispacer

Maybe let the knabsack store items in its own inventory (kinda like Maxwell’s shadow storage), That’d give it much more usage. It also could use a flat damage increase, cause it currently just deals as much damage as a spear.

The shadow alingment for wendy is very underwelming
finally Walter is playable instead of a nuisance with his features. The lobger range was desperatly needed otherwise you couldnt even use the slingshot for faster enemys because you always had to break the animation up to not get hit
Note about the scrappy slingshot attachment: It can hold infinite amounts of ammo in its stack! so for that alone its really good. Edit: Note about the badges, you can use up to 6 points worth, level one badges cost 1 and level two badges cost 2. So you can indeed use level two badges immediately and stack it alongside level one badges. Edit 2: fully decorating graves as wendy will spawn a bigspook, which will fight hostile mobs (and probably non wendys but I haven't tested that).
Can't wait to see what the Wanda skill tree will look like
As a main wortox i was kinda hoping for some krampus and Naughtyness interactions, the Naughty tree is a lit disappointed, the soul jar is amazing don't get me wrong, but the sack and de decoy, can be removed completely and they won't be missed, could've have some group dmg buff after using a soul to heal. krampus interactions, like spawn them more often. maybe son Naughtyness count increase when doing some task or thing on the word (no just kill passive mobs). don't know just saying, i loved the good tree and the jar tho. ♥
I think that the knabsack is trash and you need to basically fill half your inventory to use it to its max potential and the revive thing is a little underwhelming and the affinities are trash

If you decorate any of them with 3 flowers it makes a ghost spawn from that grave. You can have multiple graves decorated at once for multiple ghosts. I didn't notice the flowers wearing off after several days or the ghosts staying permanently dead but I need to test it more tomorrow. Got 1 dark flower from one of the graves so far as well. Not sure if it spawned it on it's own or converted a flower I planted close to the grave
Fun thing about wortox's soul attack - it only damages creatures with souls. So it won't work on clockworks or shadows and the like! And in pvp instances, it won't work on wx
Abigail should've been transformed into a nightmare creature for shadow alignment. It fits with the transformation of the lunar side, and could likely deal damage faster, DoT, or even just more damage to lunar enemies at the very least
Just always sad when I see the shadow side not as useful as the lunar one, most are honestly just bad or just not interesting, while lunar gets the better stuff
As a Moon Minion I love it but it's laughable how bad most Shadow Affinities are across every single Skilltree so far.

Klei has forgotten a lot of things about their own franchise actually. But that's a topic the majority in this Community don't want to talk about because it highlights how their precious game and Klei can do no wrong.
I thought it might be fun to do playthrough for the character that got the permanent hallowed nights skin out of the holiday drop, I got Wortox's no eyed deer skin and then Wortox gets a skill tree right after that. Also Wendy moving gravestones is OP, automatic werepig farm wherever and whenever you want, no more hoping for a dev graveyard. Also also, the knabsack really doesn't sound good as a weapon, but as a tool I think it has potential, being able to sweep up a pile of items in the ground could be an early game alternative to a lazy forager
Thulecite frame doesnt have Special Shot, It's purpose is multi ammo equip. Basically, using Sticky Ammo/Frost Ammo between main shots. Plus, you can fire it at any range. I was able to land a hit on the other side of my screen using it.
I've seen people bring this up and it makes sense however Klei needs to rephrase it then because "Special Attack" to me sounds like something more than being able to shoot two ammo types at will.

You like Walter's?! It's better than Wendy's but he takes far too many Skills to actually get good which is a problem. They're going to address it I think but that also means more restrictions elsewhere because of it.

please, klei, make it so that wortox can kind of enchant the pomegranate with 1 souls for some kind of buff for wortox and the group, for example for him, every time he eats one, he fills 60 hunger and 1 free local teleport and for allies to teleport close to him when they eat, this will make them value the fruit more, to reference Greek mythology

they still refuse to make good shadow perks but I was very afraid of the filler "nerf then sell you half of it back but it's still cruddier" precedent they set with winona so my biggest fear is at least somewhat gone
Abigail should transform in a version of himself as a Ink Blight, she would look totally badass being full dark and using a red scarf or hood

I think wortox’s knabsack should be different
My idea is that you would have to put certain stuff in it to make it weigh more kinda functioning like fishing rod bait or Walter ammo
So say putting some pieces of marble in the knabsack would make it do a nice amount of damage but swing slower
While putting sticks in it would make it not do Alot of damage but swing considerably fast
I think this would make the weapon a fun skill to consider investing in, instead of a roadblock to soul jars.
Also i feel the knabsack should have some extra range or something
This is just my idea to actually make the knabsack a consideration

If you balance between naughty and nice side and pick actually useful perks you get: aoe soul attacks, soul jars, increased soul limit and buffs for helping your teammates and soul hop discount. Excellent tree but affinity part should be changed a bit because it just seems puny.

As uninspired as the concept of skill trees can be I really like the character updates that they bring (for the most part) even all of the alignment skills can be fun

I mean you do more damage with the nap sack if you have pure horror witch can be got from piggo, so dark sword damage for 2 silk is worth in my opinion. I do understand it has a huge build up tho:)

wickerbottom is outmatched by Maxwell because he can use her books too. They could remove Maxwell abilities to use wickerbottom books.
As of now, armor would reduce the damage done to Abigail. This, to me, is especially busted, since it makes tanking that much more efficient. Fights like ancient fuelweaver come to mind.
Oh, and I don't know whether or not this is a bug, but eating healing food whilst equipping the Floral Shroud will heal abigail instead.
Yeah, noticed that myself after initial recordings here. If it is intended then it's easily the best part of her Tree and almost nothing else matters.
I think Knabsack damage is not based on ammount of slots filled,but ammount of individual items. So it would deal more damage if you filled inventory with stones, sticks etc. instead of staffs

That's just to show you what inclination he is leaning towards which leads to some different quotes and slight number tweaks. It doesn't mean much now because in all honesty the only thing on the naughty tree worth a damn are the jars. Everyone should focus on the Nice Branch

Maybe the shadow affinity means that whenever both you or wendy kill anything she does an AoE damage which works much better for hordes of mobs and minions

I think the whole thing for having two ammos is for if you want to use two different types. Like if you want to slow a boss with honey on alt and then leave damage for main. Hotswaping would be the same but thats my guess.

Soul clones are actually worthless. Waste of 3 insight to even get to the exploding ones. Also agro redirection clearly doesn't work properly.
Pan flute ones are interesting but needs to go. Not sure why he gets the benefit of that and no one else...
Soul jar is nice. It's what i was really looking forward to when his tree came out. The fact they made so you hold several is kinda wild imo.

But yes, Wortox's tree is half terrible and yet is one of the best ever because his "Nice Branch" is just so, SO good.
So wartox has new lines when naughty or nice involving souls. being low being full or overloading pretty cool for knowing if your wartox is a healer or not

Hmmmmm... I'm kinda lukewarm on Wendy's skill tree. I think they could've done more on the elixirs and ghost interactions, and I agree that her shadow affinity is... gimmicky, at best? Like... hm. You'll probably get better results attacking with Abigail instead of murdering a buncha stuff. Ngl I was expecting her skill tree to have either more focus on elixirs, being able to recruit pipspooks / wild ghosts to create an army (though that's probably Webber / Wurt's thing), or make Abigail more exciting. Looking forward to see you test them some more when the skills aren't buggy anymore!
This time around it seems like Klei is aware of how much refinement they need to give these Trees so I wouldn't be surprised to see A LOT of Walter's and Wendy's trees altered.

@TheBeard777 most mobs are quite squishy anyway and most threats are threatening because of the mob mentality. At least that's the most dangerous type of threat me and my friends encounter.
