It doesn’t matter how long your videos are, they never seem long enough! Love watching y’all’s adventures.❤
Thanks Danielle!
@@billandlisa I can heartily recommend this channel to EVERYONE.
What absolutely impresses me about Bill and Lisa, is their spontaneity, their financial wherewithal to be able to afford going pretty much anywhere they want to go, and their personalities, not to mention their sense of humour about life and themselves.
I need to start enjoying my life like the both of you do! I adore watching your videos because you both make me so happy!
Loved drunk Bill eating his pizza and forgetting what Basil was 😂 this is why I love you guys ❤

I really enjoyed your video! I’m a foodie, too. I don’t eat seafood, but it didn’t even matter - you two are so cute. Right from the intro, you can feel the fun vibe.
Thank you!
Finally viewed the video!!! Only 1 week late.😂
Saw it is over 45 minutes long but it didn't feel long.
The views are beautiful and all the food looks amazing.
Yes Lisa. When I eat flavored shrimp I suck all the yummy flavor off first before peeling.
Can't wait to watch part 2 next.
Sorry about the delay. I've been sick since friday 9/13 (not COVID, had some dehydration). I was feeling better but had a relapse tuesday. Feeling much better now. I can view my phone/videos without feeling dizzy. Getting back to my usual routine.
Doing some binge watching on Bill and Lisa!
Glad to hear you're feeling better, Yvonne. Thanks for catching up on the vids!
Two day dreamers....quick reboot and life can be wonderful. Aloha and Mahalo, B&L.

I buy the small spaces every cruise. I do two. One for the cabin and one for the room. Then I leave them in case the cabin attendant wants them.
Nice food review. Great info. Thanks, cheers!!
What a fun episode Bill and Lisa!! GrubWitMike is a good guy. Def has a really good Oahu Food Tour Video too. Really liked the ginger Poke, and Costa Rica has $1 Coconuts if you ever go there. Really good cheap eats. We still havent gone to Maui for food but after watching your video and ending it at the original Monkeypod , we gotta go. Always appreciate your tips about not leaving valuables in your car and showing the hotel and pool. Gonna see your Road To Hana episode soon👍🤙
Thank you, Sean! We think you'll love the food scene in Maui. We know you'll make some amazing local food videos from there. Hope you enjoy part 2!
Aloha!! Another awesome video!! Mahalo for sharing your Maui eats with us...Live life guys!!

Love you guys and always look forward to your videos.
THAT SHRIMP LOOKS SO YUMMY=D!
You guys are so cute ♥️ love watching your adventures. Hopefully one day I’ll get to meet you both. Stay safe!
Great Video! You must try Tin Roof, also near the airport. Their fish sando is the best!!!
Thanks for the tip!
Aloha Bill and Lisa! Nice to see a video of Maui. I live on Oahu and its been years since we visited Maui. Back in the day we would stay at the Seaside for $70 a night, I'm happy to see the improvements they made but I think $300 is too much for that room. There is so much good food on Maui, can't wait to see if you hit any of our favorite spots. We hope to go back and visit one day.
Aloha Laurie! Agreed, room rate is high, but not much we can do about it as all the hotels in the area were about that rate. We hit up some good spots in part 2, stay tuned!
Happy Tuesday Bill & Lisa 😊
Happy Tuesday, Christine!
All in pokes. 😂 Love the sample sizes.Be perfect with rice.
Bill and his cheeze humor...low hanging fruit. 🥥😂If it was high...that baby would hurt if it landed.
Yes, just needed some rice with the poke! lol. All good though! 😋
I love u guys and all your video food travels! It’s pronounced “lee-keh” poke (Like Poke), Bill!😉
Thank you!
I Just Joined your channel. Great Stuff,
Welcome to our channel, Rick!
Hey Lisa!!!!! Hey Bill !!!!! ❤ 😊
Hi Daniel!
Awww... I am glad you came back to Maui. I enjoy watching your videos. Thank you so much for sharing about Maui . Next time maybe we can meet up :)
You're very welcome! Thanks so much for watching!
Did you figure out what inamona is? Just Google. Also known as candlenut. The Hawaiians burned it to produce light. Be careful though. Eating it raw can cause GI problems, if you know what I mean.😂 Awesome, you visited Maui. I had to add that you were so lucky to get into Monkeypod. When I went to Maui with family and stayed in Kihei, we could not get into a restaurant anywhere so we ended doing takeout from a couple of places. Def. pro tip...make dinner reservations! Some places also don't do take out because they are so busy.
Thanks for looking it up.. interesting! Yes, we so glad we got seated at MonkeyPod. Great place!
Inamona is made from kukui nut, the same nut you see made into those common dark brown lei. Just an interesting note: the word for "light" in Hawaiian is "kukui" because of its use as lamp oil. Itʻs usually used in "traditional" Hawaiian poke (ahi limu), but be careful: it is a natural laxative, so donʻt eat too much.
Recently found your channel.absolutely love you people.👏
Thank you, Mike!
Great Video! Yay I’m glad you guys went to Kaohu Store for Poke. The Best! Inamona in the Chili Pepper Poke is Kukui Nut. It gives good flavor but if you eat a lot it becomes a laxative! 😂
Good to know! Thanks!
Welcome back!
Thank you!
It is picturesque there and Hawaii is on my bucket list of places . I want to visit all of the islands plus the big island because of the old Hawaii Five show. Safe travels and God bless always the p0ke that
The poke yall was eating l can't eat raw fish. 🙏
All good, plenty of other great foods besides poke.
So Far Great Video like always.
About the good food on offer in HI: OK, sooooo let's get down to the real nitty-gritty / the good stuff, because I look as though I love to eat and I also love good food, just like you folks do:
About the pizza that Bill dug into at nearly the end of this video, The magarita looked marvellous. But, I always ask myself WHY pizza makers always make their pies with such dough-y, THICK RINDS?
I prefer my pies with thin less dough-y rinds, like they do in the NYC, but ... the proliferation of toppings on the magarita that Bill ordered was impressive. You know, normally people can skimp on toppings. giving you only 2-3 basil leaves, not a whole lot of sauce, no fresh tomatoes at all, and mainly pre-packaged mozzarella cheese!
When nothing else looks good on any menu, order Saimin. Saimin is always ono to da max! And, the stuff Lisa ate was full of good stuff that I do not think that you cannot find anywhere else in HI, such as nuts, FRESH veggies which are underdone, and tons of cilantro. Yummm-mo!
I loved the food on offer whenever I visited Hawai'i: Both O'ahu and The Big Island, thrice in total.
The garlic shrimp served at Giovanni's shrimp truck was THE BOMB!
I left Hawai'i wishing Seattle had a Zippy's. People compare Zippy's to Denny's on the mainland, but, Zippy's is far better, if I'm being honest.
Crab mac salad sounds de-lish! I adore crab. Now, when they say "crab" was real crab used or was that surimi stuff used, do you think?
Real crab is really the way to go, isn't it?
I usually am not a fan of eating raw fish, feeling that doing so is NOT entirely safe, however ... the best raw fish I HAVE eaten, which was fresh, and served with a terrific sauce (not soy sauce I don't think) in HI, was (oddly enough) made at a little out-of-the-way-place called "The Kahuku Superette" in ... Kahuku, on O'ahu. It was terrific! And, you got a ton of the stuff, with a great sauce, over freshly made hot, fluffy rice, too.
Cookie prices are quite reasonable on Maui, looks like. I loved the rice krispie cookies I got on O'ahu, but, aeroport security would not let me bring them home to Seattle! I wanted to take two delish butter avos home as well. But, no dice ... dang it!
We've been to Kahuku Superette, great poke there. The market we visited here in this video was just as good. We can highly recommend this place.
@@billandlisa I believe you! 👍🏻 🙏
I look forward to returning to Hawai’i before I die.
I want to visit Maui, but only after The Garden Isle is fully restored back to its former life and condition.
@@billandlisa I love The Kahuku Superette. It was pretty much a hole-in-the-wall when I last visited it in 2015, with my 1st Cuz, but oftentimes as you both know, the most hole-in-the-wall looking places can serve the public the best food, too!
Thanks you! Glad Maui is alive and well. Karla in Cali.
You're welcome, Karla!
Food trucks are the best!!!
Lisa, your bathing suit is so pretty. I love that color on you. I hope to visit there one day. For now, my vacations are in the mountains, NC. West Jefferson. If you get a chance to go there you would have a great time ❤
Thank you, Mindy!
Alohaaa Bill&Lisa Welcome Back to da islands🏝 oh yahhh👏 our island food trucks are da bom, oh this is in kahalui? Wow Mahalo for those One grinez in Wailea🏖 see yall on da next stop guys💕🤙
Howzit! Yes, both trucks we visited were in Kahului. Addresses of all the places we visited are in the video description. More Maui coming in part 2!
Great video! Thanks!
Yellow dragon fruit are a lot sweeter than the red ones. I always get the yellow.
Love Monkeypod! Stayed in the condos about a mile away. Did you notice if they still have a happy hour? Thank you again for a great review! Sue
Yes, still have Happy Hour.
Ybqw, always a pleasure to watch my fav couple ❤😊
Thank you, Jade!
Geste Shrimp is DA BOMB!!! 😋😋😋
Now I wanna beer 😹🍺🍺
you guys are so cute!
Wow! You 2 are future; "Time Travelers"!😂 Avoided going to Lahaina?
We had breakfast in Lahaina in part 2.
Hi bill and Lisa!!!! Love your videos ❤❤❤
been watching Bill & Lisa for years, they seem like family to me, Smiles
Always Poke for the win!
Whooooooooooooaaa super Delish!!!!❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️
No problem 😊
You both make me want to try poke
I love you guys soooo much
I'm guessing the shrimp is meant to be eaten with shell and all, i probably would 😅
Some do eat it whole. Has to be well fried for us to eat the shell.
About car break ins: Pity that peoples' good times are spoiled by thieves, isn't it? I have never understood the mentality of the folks who think that taking what is not theirs, in such a violent manner by forcibly breaking into cars and such, is the "right thing" to do.
But, maybe they think that people, who are more prosperous looking OWE them their possessions.
Who knows, really?
My mother and I never had a problem with having our stuff stolen.
We locked what we could in the trunk of our rental cars.
And, our cars always showed some wear and tear.
Believe me, we think that / dings and scratches, helped!
Oddly enough, I do know of tourists who have acted counter-intuitively and put a note on their dashboards, PLUS such some visible money in a cup, say ... $5-$50, asking people to take what they want to, if they are hungry.
And, much to their surprise, their cars were also not broken into, either!
OPINION: The tourists who do not flaunt their wares by leaving pricey stuff visibly in their cars, seem to be the luckier ones, whereas the people who rent pricey cars, and then leave stuff out, where passersby can see their stuff, are not so lucky.
This is just a guess of mine.
I could be wrong.
Thanks for sharing. I’m going to Maui soon and some of these spots look yummy. Did you eat at all these spots in just one day?
Yup! Stay tuned for part 2 coming up next (on Wednesday).
Linda is a lady Bill! lol Let her use her chopsticks 😂
Mahalo for sharing.❤❤❤
You are so welcome!
My hope is one day when you're back on maui, you get the opportunity to visit my sister's place Baked on Maui located in Haiku-Pauwela. I know you will not be disappointed.
We have it bookmarked, will try and stop by on our next visit. Thanks for the rec. 👍🏼
Bill loves pizza as much as I do !
Poke with rice is a mainland thing. Most locals will eat it straight.
They’re eating healthier with poke. Chicken and saiman
I tend to support locals first. What are some reasonable recommended hotels there?
At the time we went, all were pretty pricey. Take a look at booking.com to read the reviews of hotels in the area you want to stay at, that's what we used.
8:01 cat like reflexes
LOL!!
Inamona aka kukui nut is the best on poke
Howdy, partner? 🤠🤠
Is this one by Moana Park? Looks delicious
Which place? Talking about Ala Moana Park?
Going to Hawaii on a cruise in a few weeks what are some of the best Shave Ice places going to Honolulu, Kauai, Kahului and Hilo! any suggestions would be great!
Hawaii cruise sounds like so much fun! Honestly, you can't go wrong with any shave ice you come across. Enjoy your port days!
@@billandlisa Thanks been watching all your Hawaii vlogs!
About the cost of living in HI: People will charge what they feel the markets can bear, always. Stuff, inclusive of coconuts etc., is always a bit pricey over in HI. Someone will always pay for, time and again, what they charge.
Living in Thailand is significant cheaper, by comparison. I know of people who chose to move there permanently, and also just had extensive dental care done over there too, in Hua Hin. They only paid $600 US in total for many fillings (8-9), a root canal, FIVE tooth extractions plus two XRAYS and a full checkup before all the harder. ickier work was done. And, their Safety Wing insurance covered it in full (up to $1,500 US)! This work would have cost MANY thousands of dollars state-side.
