• Local Budget Friendly ...
hamburger steak meal with kimchi looked really good ❤
🤤🤤
Aloha Everybody 💯🤙😎 Let's Go!!! SUPPORT LOCAL RESTAURANTS🤙🤙🤙
Mahalo 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼 Let's goooo!
Hi to the cutest couple on RUclips! Today you painted such a beautiful picture of each and every plate. Tasty and affordable not to mention "home grown!". Thanks for the tour ❤
Mahalo Diana for the kind words 🤙🏼 and support!
Keep up the good work on promoting the local businesses. Great that you bring up the plight of the local small businesses and how hard it is to control their costs. The message is to support them even if their prices have gone up. When I was going to the university in 1970's, the Zip Min at Zippy's was $1.95 and a 16oz. rib steak from Chunky's Drive Inn (Isenberg and King) with two giant scoops of rice and mac salad was $5.00.
Those were the days!
It's interesting to see prices in Hawaii. What we consider cheap here in Southern California is relative to Hawaii, lol. We share the same mentality on what we think is "cheap" 😂😅😢 And dang! That crispy pork and char siu plate looks super delicious 🤤
There's something so nice about comfort food like grabbing a whopping paper plate of rice, eggs and Portuguese sausage on the run.
It's why I keep Tabasco bottle in the car. 😅
Mahalo for the info! It’s always interesting to hear about other places🤙🏻
Mahalo for sharing ! I Love crispy cookies ! Love affordable & delicious eats ! Awesome Support Locals !!!
Mahalo Gail 🤙🏻 you’ll love Lynn’s cookies!
Always appreciate you two and where you take us!! Yum!!!
Mahalo🤙🏼
Exactly the video we need in this hyper expensive economy! Great info!😋
Mahalo Darryl 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Aloha Foodie Ohana! Love the budget friendly options. Gotta save some cash in this crazy economy. Mahalo for looking out for the Ohana! Love you guys!!! 🤙🏽❤️🍚🌴
Mahalo for watching and supporting as always Armando! 🤙🏼
@@AmandaFelixEats you guys have my 100% support and love Foodie Ohana!
All the way back in the very early 980's, I knew the family who originally started Lynn's Saimin & Cookie Shop, they are a great family! The mom who began it all was a great chef and baker; the outstanding Hono Ono Cookies.
Hey Amanda, back when I used to go there, they made one of the best Hamburger Steaks on the island.
That’s amazing!🤤 mahalo for watching and sharing 🤙🏻
Hi Felix and Amanda. I 9:07 used to live on Booth Road and my husband and I went to Lynn’s. Their cookies and okazuya are the bomb! What memories. That was back in the 70’s. Showing my age🤣 Royal Kitchen everyday. Thank you for this video. Take care and blessings. 💖🙏🌺💖
Omg what a coincidence! Happy to put some nostalgia on this video! Mahalo Patricia 🥰🤙🏻
Felix…I am a breakfast beast…Love me some breakfast cheap eats…Mahalo, Bruh👍🏼
Going to be in Oahu first 2-weeks in October…Staying at Waikiki Shore…Please buzz me w/ nearby suggestions…@bigdaddycaesar
I love how you guys always show local businesses. Your videos made finding places to eat on my 1st trip to Oahu a breeze. Can’t wait for the next trip. Keep those great videos coming. Mahalo
Mahalo for watching and supporting🤙🏻
Great job featuring these small local businesses! It’s the best way to promote them and hopefully bring them more business.
We’re happy to support Hawaii local small businesses 🤙🏻
I would wish that the Hotel Tourism Authority would push to have all the hotels have as part of the HTA infomercials but a periodic segment of Amanda & Felix Eats that replays some of the existing Amanda & Felix Eats, as a way of educating visitors of all the known and lesser-known places to eat in Oahu. I don't watch too many other food reviews on Oahu, but I usually watch Amanda & Felix's reviews. I've been local for scores of years, but I'm not the connoisseur of Oahu cuisine as Amanda & Felix have covered. It would open up visitors to eat at so many other places and locations, if they want to see the different choices & tastes. Mahalo A & F.
Mahalo for such an amazing compliment and kind words 🥰 we’re just happy to be able to put local businesses out there for people to find 🤤 and experience and support local spots!
As a visitor arriving in a few weeks, the Felix & Amanda Eats channel will have me eating local a lot on my trip. Looking forward to the Farmers Market at Wai Kai.
Whoa! Haven't had Tatsuo's in awhile! All of these Mom & Pop's places deserve to make living, despite the rising tide of business expenses. Mahalo nui for bringing these places to the culinary forefront!
Mahalo for watching! 🤙
Thank you so much for featuring these mom-and-pop places! Yes, prices go up, but they do their best to stay in business. >^.^
Mahalo for watching and supporting🤙🏻
Royal Kitchen’s baked manapua is something i dreeeam of!
🤤🤤🤤 onolicious 🤙🏻
Their cookies especially the peanut butter ones are really good. I go there for the tripe stew.
Lynn’s…my daughter used to love getting fried rice there in the morning and I think it was like $1-2? Glad they’re still there!
They still going strong🤙🏻 mahalo!
Great edits! A lot of cool aerial perspective shots! ❤
Filex & Amanda enjoying Your Videos as always. Ono luscious Yes Locals Support Vocals 🥰🌹🌹🌹
Felix is me, always putting shoyu on rice even though its already brown fried rice🤣
😂😂 gotta add that extra 🤤
I drive by Lynn's when going to Puowaina/Punchbowl Cemetery to visit my Dad and always think about stopping in, but I never have the time. Maybe one day I'll get the chance. Thanks for always supporting Local.
For sure gotta try! 🤤 mahalo Carol 🤙🏻
Lynns is da best. Bradda over there is so cool. Tripe stew is killah and hard to beat their breakfast, i throw a hash inside from the Okazu side lol.
Sounds like a winnah combo🤙🏻🤤
Yummy!
I love everything you do, and your way better then "That "Guy" keep up the good work! Your always so kind and funny! It makes me want to blog again. I can't vlog cause my phone is awful, but maybe i'll start a blog up again.
Aloha Amanda and Felix, hope you're both well. Those meals are definitely budget friendly and they look so delicious thanks for sharing.

Mahalo for supporting us🫶🏼💕
Royal kitchen manapua is the best and they only have baked-no steamed. Pork hash is ok the har gau is a pass. Thank you for trying Kent's. Now have to go check it out.
So happy we could go to Royal kitchen 🤤 mahalo🤙🏻
Mahalo nui loa! Always good to know where the LOCAL cheap eats are!
Mahalo Cheryl! 🤙
Love the video! Can you also do videos of the local grocery stores, what kind of things are only sold or made in Hawaii, best store made poke, etc? I always like to check out local grocery stores when I visit a new city/country. Thanks!
Royal kitchen also has super mean turkey sandwiches on certain days. Cheap too.
Grew up on Lynn's
I'm a Roosevelt ruff ryda
Grew up pauoa/ punchbowl 🤙🤙🤙 jaimies was a gem too right around the corner from lynns not sure if they are still there.
Rough rider in da house 🤙🏻
Lynn’s the OG been going there since I could remember way back then and than Kent’s! Amanda & Felix gotta try Beef Broccoli with Soft Noodles or Cake Noodle that’s the WINNAH!! Thank You for another 💣&🔥video as ALWAYS!!! Aloha and Mahalo
Aloha ! i wish i had met you guys when I was in Oahu a few weeks ago.. I would have loved you to show me around past the tourist area for the local food.
Felix and Amanda as other people have mentioned you two look great! It’s very noticeable on camera 🎥 as people say you gain 10lbs on camera! So you guys definitely look buff! 💪🏼💪🏼🦵🏼🦵🏼keep up the great videos!
Felix, looks like you lost a lot of weight. How can you lose weight when you have a RUclips food channel.
Because he kaina buff. And she kaina sleek.
mahalo for the kind words Ron🤙🏼 We eat healthy on the days we don't film!
No we don't do any fasting! But we do eat home cooked meals when not filming🤙🏼
@@SunnyIlha Thanks, I need to try fasting for longer periods. Now I fast from about 8:00 pm to 12:00 pm the next day. No rice, bread or other carbs. at any meals (I was just diagnosed as prediabetic).
@AmandaFelixEats
😊 Aw! Yu guys cook at home. Healthy!
1:47!!!❤️
You guys should to do a manapua truck tour! The one across highlands intermediate in pearl city has amazing fried noodles and musubi 🤙
Will be back on Oahu in 2 months, and we always try to visit the local guys you highlight on your videos :-)
Mahalo for supporting local🤙🏻
I love Cheap Eats ! But I missed Yvonne !
She was busy for this one😭 but she’ll be back soon! Mahalo🤙🏻
So great that you focus on promoting LOCAL RESTAURANTS.
Yes, the cost of living makes day to day so difficult for many people.
All that food looks so ono.
You both look great Amanda and Felix.
Question🙋♀️
Where did you stay in Tokyo?
Was watching some of your japan vids.
Mahalo 🌸❤
We have videos featuring where we stayed! Be sure to check them out 👍 Mahalo! 🤙
Aloha from Australia
4:35 Amanda 😂
Fo'Real rite

*Tsk* *eh* *wutta* *'bout* *me*
💥😁😁, 😁💥
Girl gotta have a bite🤤
@@AmandaFelixEats
haha😁
3:04 please keep having b roll of the menus like this. Helps us get a quick look at the prices and options without having to google maps the restaurants 🤙
Sure thing! 🤙
so funny, growing up in Hawaii, I always knew it as manapua and pork hash.
Came up to the mainland and it's all, pork bau, dim sum...pork dim sum?
lol
Love how we have our own names for stuff 🤪 lol
The plates looked yummy. I love watching your videos. MAHALO
Mahalo Jocelyn🤙🏼
Should have tried Penny's drive in on lagoon drive also
You should try heaven Chinese noodle and BBQ Cafe next to royal kitchen. Very hole in the wall. Unfortunately they don't speak eng very well but the food is very good and affordable. The gyoza, char siu fried rice (weekend only) and curry rice are my favs
Mahalo for the suggestion! 🤙
Heee😅 4:33...
I came bac ti dis, had to.
Ho, man - Yu guys no shy 'bout yo Local...😅
Amanda. 'Ehh, wea yu goeeng...bring sum ova.'
Felix. Wha, whaaa, wut i did...
Amanda. 'Tsk, no ack, shea wit me summa dat.'
😂!!
Royal Kitchen... try their dim sum box, not on the menu. Consist of 1 baked manupua, 1 pork hash, 1 half moon, noodles or chow fun and a rice cake, good lunch. Keep up the good work! Have you ever tried Ronnie's down Sand Island access road in the mini mall.
Mahalo! We'll check them out 🤙
Im watching your japan series. I asked you about your hotel in Tokyo. I just saw it right after asking you. 🙈
Ryokan so cool.
We love ryokan! Such an experience! Mahalo! 🤙
Landlords gouging is the primary reason for these outrageous price increases. The local business is placed between a rock and a hard place so they have no choice to increase prices to make ends meet. It's never gonna end.
I'm from Kona, went to college in Honolulu, now live in San Francisco.
Sadly, small independent local businesses are definitely endangered. In a perfect world, city governments would recognize how vital these small businesses are to the overall health and economy of a community and work to protect and nurture these places.
Will be back on Oahu in October. Definitely focusing on hitting all the local businesses for every meal.
Mahalo for supporting local! 🤙
Try 1:48 Papas deli 3 meat breakfast for $8
Sounds ono🤤 mahalo!
Pans Kitchen in Kaneohe has a good breakfast deal too. you guys should check them out on your next cheap eats video
Mahalo for the suggestion! 🤙
pretty funny that one meal almost cost more than i spend all day on food and drink living and working here in Bangkok and yes i do have a western salary
That’s amazing
Peanutbutter cookies fire
Love ur videos but Felix you always eating Chicken n a lot of places U featured has chicken... try the roast pork at Rainbows in Pearlridge there’s are better then kapahulu branch...mahalo🤙🏽
have try seasons in same are
Royal kitchen is a hit n miss one day there cheerful next week very rude 🙃
divide by 10 is the price of what I eat here.
chicken liver gizzard intestines feet tasty for me also cow tripe intestines
Felix, were you trying to say Affordable "AND" Delicious @ the 5:06 mark instead of Affordable "OR" Delicious, cause I prefer for it to be both 😂and also i dont want to have to get an affordable meal and its not delicious 😆
😂😂
I believe Royal Kitchen only has baked manapua which kind of sucks. I think Aiea Manapua & Snacks have better manapua but their pork hash isn't great.
Hawai'i is a terrible place for small local business owners these politicians make it so hard and put up so much barriers for mom n pops to survive. I guess we get what we vote for
I knew i shouldn't have watched this video. I'm so huuuungry right now but live on the mainland. What am I gonna do?????😢 😟😩 Mahalos, anyway. 😢
We're sure there are plenty of good eating there! 🙏🤙
Do yourself a yourself a favor or flavor? - Felix
Favor! 🤙
@@AmandaFelixEats it was a subtle pun 😉
Where is the cookie shop again, please mahalo
royal is ok , didn’t like the flavor meat, the bread is best , there’s couple more shops in chinatown one on king , doesn’t taste the same as in sf
Where is tatsuo please
