About Adventures Made From Scratch: I’m just a regular guy who likes to find adventure in day to day life. We may not be able to go travel the world, but there are plenty of opportunities at our door step. I do a mix of vintage car stuff, scrapyard stuff, nature hiking, and who knows what else?!? Come with me as I take you along for a ride in my world!

What's the most interesting thing you've found before? (Doesn't have to be found in a car)
Garden tool in a ditch, a Mario penguin critter by a soccer field, and lots of other stuff.
Back in the 70s my neighbor bought cars in Illinois and brought them here in Alabama to sell. I'm left handed and he found an expensive glove and gave it to me. I used it for many years.
Probably an iPhone five in a creek
Suitcase full of Playboy magazines on the side of the road.
A crisp twenty dollar bill in a white envelope under the carpet of a 1978 Cougar. Why it was under the carpet is not known, since most cars never have their carpet pulled up and the likelihood of someone finding it was slim. I was doing a dash mash up out of an older Torino. I rolled the carpet back for changing the heater core on the Cougar since the dash was out to be sure it didn't get leaked on. Me and buddy got drunk that night. Good times.
I can’t believe Silas doesn’t have 1 million subscribers by now. This is always my favorite channel!
I totally agree with you... he will eventually gain more popularity in due time.
Years ago, going to the Pick A Part yards, there were unbelievabe amounts of treasure in the car trunks. I would completely forget why I came there in the first place. The one time I found $600.00 in a coin purse absolutely ruined me.
Come on Silas I think I could see you at the yard with those bright red pants and those slinky shoe laces! 😂👍
😊
Jimm Morrison was right when he said people are strange but he was not talking about you and me Silas😂😂😂. I really enjoy your adventures.😅
AIN'T IT JUST AIN'T IT 😜 lols.....
I grew up working in a junk yard and a scrap yard those were the days of my youth. I enjoy watching your videos takes me back to when I was younger in my own life
That bag of tools was an awesome find, always come in handy.
The old 60 Ford is most certainly worth saving from a date with the crusher.
I always wanted to know the math on weather to leave the tires on the rim. Thank you. Great videos
I work for a high end entry door company. We have the same issue with freight. They charge by the foot print of the crate, and the average height of the door is 80-96” on its side and they generally don’t weight much as far as freight goes. Also you pay more for a crate over 8 foot long, they are a different price class.
You need some ground up tree mulch to put on top of the mud it will help dry it out and if U put it in thick enough it will cut down on the dust when it drys out
The background music as you gently pulled that old Dodge off the trailer.... She is not dead. Some of that truck will live on for many many more years well done!
i believe that you are getting better with that loader Bro Silas. it remined me of a time that i used to practice offshore with those 20 and 30 ton Hydraulic cranes putting the fast line ball into a 5 gallon bucket lol.
Good Afternoon There My Good Big Bro Silas Of Adventures Made From Scratch
You're Welcome So Very Much There My Good Big Bro Silas Of Adventures Made From Scratch
Thank You So Very Much There To Everyone Else
I have been following you from the beginning when you first started posting your videos and I can tell youshould've been a professor and educator kind of like you are now showing this younger generation that there is a past in America tradition that we have values and we still fly the flag
That winch truck would make a great showpiece out front just the way it is.....
Yeah I agree
It's 10 pm here in England I like your videos you are amazing
Watching from Sheffield!
Thanks for the videos!!!
You may enjoy using a plasma cutter to remove front ends and some parts. Will need a good 30 amp generator to power it. Thanks again!!
He has, but doesn't like it
I'm glad that sno jet got saved,I'm in wisconsin or I would of been interested. I'm amazed by the number of old trucks out there in Kansas.
You shouldn't be amazed, as Kansas is 90 percent Farmland ... that's why so many trucks
Hey Sy, great video keep up the good work. But you are losing money when you throw intakes valve covers, and alternators in with the breakage. They pay so muck more. FYI😮😊❤
Thank you Silas
Mud season? Start the. Submarine😂❤.
is it a yellow submarine?
that belt on the trunk with the shoes if it was an original Hermes it retails around 700+
Excellent silas happy Easter cheers 🥂 guys 😊
Always fun watching you work Silas. Some great finds again!
I like the loader moving vehicles around
Glad you got someone to help sir!!!
Aw c'mon Silas those red Nikes are all you!
(Distract the ones bidding against you at the auctions)
Stayin tuned! 👍🤠
Host is my favorite❤❤ 0:53
I can not believe that Jeep!!!! Where I am from those are worth mega money.
I'd say the viewer that lied on you wants to or has someone they want to get the vintage trucks. The seller needs to be aware that the person doing that is dishonest and will eventually burn him too. Sad people are like that but money and jealousy makes people do shady stuff when they are weak.
Well said.
Yup sad that it messed up a relationship
Another fun installment Silas ! 👊😎👍
I would definitely try to work for you if I lived around there
Happy easter Peace out
It’s hilarious that you have to dump “Silas-Trophies” in the snoot shipments. 😂
Clearing Your Dirty Alu - Yes - that Green/White Truck is a Beauty ! Demo that Trailer/House should be a very Interesting Video in it self - giving You all that Extra Room ! Cool Tool Bag full of Good Tools - well spotted ! You are a very busy Man and nice of You to offer that Person to work for You 2-3 Days a Week ! Enjoyable Video and many Cheers from Australia !!!! I found a Lead Zeppelin Toy as a small Child in 1948 - still have it !
I love the 60 f-550 custom cab have there it looks like it's in mint condition i just love old trucks
28:14 Is Silas secretly a Roadrunner!? Meep-meep-meep-meep-meep-meep!
the black belt with the h buckle in that bunch of clothes was hermes and is worth good money ,it would be worth your while to sell that if you can still find it .
the keys for the ford are most likely to be in the glove box somewhere .if not just go through old ford keys they didn't use many patterns so it would take minutes to find one that works if you have a bunch of old keys.
I used to Banger race back in the 90's here in the UK and the Volvo bumpers where Aluminium might be worth looking at yours for breakage
24:06 nice find ,i got one of those in perfect condition several decades ago for literally scrap .....it definitely didn't go in the brass ....went right into my collection
Great video,at Iggy's muffler in norridge, ill I go through the junk car and fine lots of change, frank in Mike tell me keep it.
Cool thanks for your time 👍😊
Wow. Your. The. King of. Pain. To watch. All the great. Looking. Cars. That’s the. Way. It goes. 😂😂thanks 😢😢
Thankyou silas😂 I'd like some of your merchandise
Love having that tiedie tshirts from Indiana
MORE TOYS!
Shoes can go for good money used in the original box you might be surprised.
I bet that you could find free pallets. I know a lot places that set them out for free. Big lots is one place I can think of. You go get a truck load, maybe charge 12.00 each for them. That way it helps pay for your gas and time. I wonder if the keys are with the owner manual in the large envelope. I would give the clothes away. If someone would come pick them up let them have them. Just a thought.
Do you ever use the rolls of metal or plastic banding like a warehouse does for shipping? so you don't have to lose straps unless you get them back. You always have the best stuff laying around
Time is money, and time is a valuable resource!
And it’s our most limited resource as well
Wow you got serious money in the used shoes . Even the ones you consider rough shape.
You rock Bro! Cheers from Tillsonburg Ontario CANADA.
Your the second best show on u tube , KEEP IT UP
Adventures Made From Scratch. Wow, at 11:55 into this particular video, as you’re looking at the old Dodge Truck, I can see in the background, to the left, a 1960 Dodge Coronet Sedan, light blue, I could be mistaken.......I haven’t seen one of these cars since about 1975. Classic car 🚙. If possible please video this car. Many thanks. ❤👍.
Host is my favorite
Very busy video Silas Happy Easter
First-time watcher! Like, will B watching! PS. Hand me a quarter off the deck, and then I'll let you operate on a rolling decks in VERTREPS! The BMCWO3🥶🐲
Awesome always cool stuff always thanks
It amazes me the precision you have with that loader, you put that transmission that was in the back of that SS on a pallet with a nose then its worth 500 dollars
my brothers had a snojet like that when i was little.
Nice treasures!
The wrecker at 7:00 I liked it . The stuff on the bed is bonus. I heard $2000.
The red ones sell for $400. In maryland. And up new york $900.
18 years ago..I collected and brought home a backpack full of used scratchers..my preteen daughter and I began checking lottery losers initially we found a five dollar winner, then a one…then..Ten thousand dollars..pay attention people…the same year I found five ounces in a ziplock ..on the roadside…it was a good year.
Great find
Wish that old dodge was closer to me in Illinois
I believe that all aluminum wheels should go in the junk. Have had to many break!
Can’t wait for the mud to dry up.
That was a strong throw silis
We used to pilfer in the cars at the salvage yard but we always wore our mule skin gloves or heavy work gloves because there was cars sometimes that had hypodermic needles in them also other sharp objects also we would be very careful putting our hands underneath the seat of the cars ! Please be careful
Silas that v6 700r4 Trans core is becoming hard to come by just saying 😊
If the person that sold that old 1940's ford to silas he would never give out locations that he does videos on hes a good guy
Those red drawers and red shoes would look good on you....ha ha!
Thanks silas
You don’t need any air Jordon or whatever or red jeans. Might start something cool like fancy dressed junk yard man. Lol. Good video.
Silas your junk yard cabin interests me your winter is colder than mine maybe nice videos I like the mushrooms and winter scenes we don't have where I live
Any junkyard cabin videos will be on the 2nd channel!
More junk yard cuisine excellent lol 😊
10:58 wow, such beautiful piano music! 🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹 ❓ How about donating the clothes to your church clothes closet? Years ago I stayed in a homeless shelter and was grateful to receive free clothing. 😂👍

I had one of those old Sno Jet snowmobiels years ago
The red Nike shoes are Air Max 95's

All shop lifted merchandise
Interested in seeing if any interior parts are good on that El Camino
Out here in Idaho you just don't see a lot of the older trucks a lot now. Most are crushed
Someone had better buy this truck hopefully the whole truck

I'd like a hat you have find an adventure adventures made from scratch I don't live near Kansas
As I watched you forklift in the skip, I used a forklift and was able to pick up a coin from flat of the floor, and people would bet me, all you did was to place the coin on the floor and have the forks down at a angle and the coin would flip, people said I was cheating, but my bet was to pick up a coin up which I did lol
I would like that square body chevy. Light Blue one. episode: Why did they Leave THAT in the Trunk? (Junkyard Treasure)
You should keep them you could stut around your yard with them lol
Being a seller stuff like that 10 $15 items it’s good to sell in bulk Or a lot so somebody who has time can sell it
Give to good will
Yes Sir!!!
You should take the clothes to Goodwill. You won't make any money but you will be rewarded in the next life. You work hard bro.
Scrap that old trailer! What an eyesore and full of rot and water! Man, I get a cathartic thrill when you dump an amazing load of metal for sale.
Scrap those hubcaps-perfect remove them and toss straight into the 😊dumpster
