    The Roomba have been known for their robust design, easy to use operation and one of the few robot vacuums to have a dirt detection and dirt dust bin full sensor. With these sensors combined with an efficient self emptying bin, the Roomba can handle large amounts of debris. Something no other robot vacuum can handle.

    Could use your recommendation. I have three dogs and hardwood floors and no carpet. I want a smart vacuum with multiple floor support self-empty would be nice but not required. Pet hair is my main concern. What would you suggest?

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  3 года назад +1

      I would recommend a roomba like the 960 amzn.to/32T2Ltq or the I7+ amzn.to/3jGKq9R
      The 960 doesn't have the room select or keep out zones but offers good hair pickup and it easy to clean the hair off. The i7+ has the smart mapping features which is good for your multiple floor plan.

    so is the T8+ better or the T8 AIVI better ? which one would you pick between T8+ /T8 AIVI / iRobot I8+ (all with auto empty bin) if they were all the same price at $799

      Well the best performing is the i8+, the T8 AIVI has the mobile security system. All 3 robot clean pretty well but I felt the self emptying system on the i8+ is better than Ecovacs system. Has a dedicated dirt sensor and dust bin full sensor.

    • @RobotMasters

      Hello so you probably want a robot vacuum with smart mapping and have good reliability in terms of being able to avoid obstacles and reliability to return to its dock. The S6 MaxV is the best performing one amzn.to/3avriK0
      Also has a front facing camera for obstacle avoidance and can act as a mobile security camera. The T8 offers similar functions too and the ability to add a self emptying system. amzn.to/3k8N4Xh
      Lastly if you are looking to save some money the 360 S5 a good reliable cleaner amzn.to/2NFkY9M

      Would the limited dust bag capacity of the Roborock be a problem? Was thinking the T8 or i7 stations might be useful.

      @@JETpaperplanes It really depends on how often you run the robot vacuum. At first I usually find these machines will fill their dustbin rather quickly but if you run them 3-5 times a week their dustbin doesn’t get as full as time goes on.

    I`v seen a lot your excellent videos. Which robot vacuum will be less confused by changing enviroment? I am thinking about Ecovac T8 (not AIVI) or Roomba i7 and Braava Jet m6 or RoboRock S6 MaxV (can`t detect carpets during mopping) for my house with basement and one story (1300-1500 sq.Ft. each) . Which one will fight better with 3 kids? There are lost tractors and duplo always and also moving chairs, tables and club chairs. It`s nearly impossible to have permanent room arrangement. The most of rooms have hard floors with only carpet on half of living room and some rugs. I want robot which can go under table, chairs and beds and not be confused by clubchair move or box with toys somewhere. Possibility to divide living room and kitchen virtually will be good, so it can mop just kitchen and dinning place everyday.
    Few question are remaining :-(. How robots will react on boxes with toys which change its place between two vacuum run? Will they leave out place which was occuiped during previous run? Will they cope with poor internet connection?

    • @maheenm.k1015

      Hmm, you know how there are robots that have sensors that detect obstacles? Like, when I was researching the videos would mention how some robot vacuums avoid pet poo. So, if they can avoid those small obstacles, they can definitely avoid bigger obstacles instead of knocking over them.

    We’re getting so close to the perfect robot vacuum but not quite there yet. For me the perfection would be to add Lidar and T8-style forward facing camera with AI object recognition to the s9 which already has wide dual rollers for best cleaning performance plus dirt and bin-full sensors. I’d also add a second side brush to give my perfect bot dual side brushes like the T8 & Proscenic. On software obviously the navigation and getting in/out of tight corners would have to be perfect and also maybe combine s9 and T8 specific area cleaning options so that you could select specific rooms to clean (like on s9) but also specific zones (like T8) to be able to clean only certain bits of a room (e.g. just an area rug). Also get a bigger battery into the s9 for maximum cleaning time. On the self-emptying bin I’m a bit torn - I feel that I should want a SharkIQ reusable bin for environmental reasons but I admit that the Roomba disposables are so convenient and if you buy cheapo third part copies on ebay they are really cheap. Maybe the perfect bot would allow the choice of either disposable or reusable bin.
    What would your perfect robot vacuum be Nathan?

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  4 года назад

      My perfect robot will be the spot mini, can do dishes and have a creepy snake like robot arm ruclips.net/video/q09k1EHNBHA/видео.html
      Just kidding, most of the stuff listed I agree, take the self emptying bin system of the Roomba and give the user the option to use either disposable or bag system. Utilize the dual side brush system and dual extractor bar system, but incorporate speed sensing side brushes so they don’t scatter debris around. Edges speed up, open areas slow down, and on carpet speed up. Have an intense cleaning mode where the robot can ramp up to 22000 Pa for a deep spot clean mode. Have the dirt detection and dirt bin full sensor found on the Roombas.

      It a low powered laser, invisible to the eye. Has less power than a standard keychain laser pointer around 400 - 600 nm wavelength. How well the ECOVACS cleans the carpets compared to the Roomba? There is no info on suction power, as far as I remember the OZMO 950 delivers 1,500 Pa, how's that in real-life conditions with the T8 and i7? And since the DEEBOT does not have a full bin sensor do you think it works the same way as the Shark by emptying itself once in 30 minutes or so? I'm so excited for you to get that self-emptying bin! I hope the ECOVACS made a better dock than the Proscenic did.

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  4 года назад +1

      So the suction number was based on Vacuum Wars testing the 950 and he said it was around the 1,500 Pa mark. The Pa on the Roomba can’t find any solid numbers, but Pa aren’t everything. I will do a carpet test down the road to see how well the T8 does. Since the T8 lacks a dirt sensor, it may have a timer base function like on the Shark. There may be a small possibility that there a dirt sensor in the self emptying bin dust bin version. This will allow the T8 to behave like the Roomba. The Proscenic self emptying bin doesn’t extract all the dirt in one go, but I did find it to work well enough to keep the dirt out of the bin from normal day to day cleaning conditions.

  • @clou1969
    @clou1969 4 года назад +2

    People complaining Roombas hitting hard is still true. I have black furniture and it hit at full speed all the time. In white color yes no hit. That’s why your I7 ‘’saw’’ your white sparky. No update did not fix that. My roomba i7 still dum at navigation even with their so call updates. And you can ironically see your i7 running straight bang in your black leg of your bed. See around 3:05 in your video that’s exactly why I’m telling Roombas are blind colour.

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  4 года назад +1

      Maybe it the infrared sensors that fails to recognize the black objects. My very first Roomba s9+ video showed the Roomba being aggressive, and after a few updates the robot was gentler. I agree the roomba can still hit hard, did mention it ran into my stair perdistal hard.

    Hi! I really loved this video and not sure if you're still checking messages. I'm in India. And I guess we are a little behind on the robo vacuum game. I have an apartment single floor it has 3 bedrooms, one large dining/living room and a kitchen totalling 1700 sq. Foot. There's 3 of us humans and 3 cats. Its all white tile floors. Very few low pile throw rugs. What would be your recommendation? Thank you so much!

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  3 года назад +1

      Hmm well from what you told my and the fact you house has 3 humans and cats I find the Roomba models to be the easiest to clean the pet/human hair out of the extractor bars. For the models look at the 960 amzn.to/34VUGH7 has good cleaning performance and can handle multiple levels. You won't get the room select or keep out zones found on the I7 amzn.to/3lHzoCV
      There a really good deal on the i7+ amzn.to/3lJJXFw
      Honestly for the size of your home the I7 ideal the self emptying bin more of a convenience than a necessary. Hope this helps 😀

      The T8 is the best, offers all the specs of the 950 plus the use of the self emptying bin and vibrating mopping attachment. Cheaper than the 960 and the T8 has more features and higher specs. So as of now the T8 the best.

    So far so good with this vacuum. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx8ISPQRRAfpAaX4msGjyodObTBnlj4T5g I was a little concerned to find it seems to be all plastic, but the reviews were good, so I'm hoping for the best. Very easy to assemble Recommened, and only attachments I've used so far work well, and are easy to use. Doing a good job on the new carpet in my bedrooms and stairs. Works well on the hardwood on my main floor too. Reasonable weight and cord length. I already knew from an earlier review that it wouldn't fit under furniture, but I can use my Eufy for that, so no problem - the high traffic areas that need a stronger suction was really what I bought this for. If it continues as it's started, it will be a good buy and well worth the money. I have had two Shark Rocket stick vacs in the past that are super easy to use, but the motors just don't last well, even with scrupulous cleaning of the filters. I'm hoping for better with this Bissell.
