@@wombomongoThe EN names are different from the JP names. Dictator = Vega (JP) or M. Bison (EN). Boxer = M. Bison (JP) or Balrog (EN). Claw = Balrog (JP) or Vega (EN)
@@wombomongo vega - m. bison - balrog had their names switched around when sf travelled into the west because copyright (m. bison / mike tyson)
@@wombomongoHe’s called Vega in the Japanese region. It was supposed to stay the same when SFII was brought to the states but because of a scandal involving Mike Tyson the names of him, the boxer and the clawed ninja were swapped around.

Played him already. He feels like sf4 bison but with an extra punch of power, i love it. Felt right at home.
I just played him myself and as an sf4 bison main ima have to disagree, he's very different. Scissor kicks in sf6 are only safe on block when spaced correctly whereas light scissors in sf4 are always safe. Ex Psycho crusher could cross up in sf4 and go through the opponent but not in 6...and his devils reverse in 6 isn't as mobile as in 4. Also his standing light kick doesn't link into any normals in this game unfortunately unlike 4...he was much better in 4.

@@uchijavI knew there was something off about his devils reverse! A little bummed out that his psycho crusher doesn’t cross up or go through opponents anymore. I guess they purposely made his scissors kick unsafe on block so they can balance it out since the scissors kick is no longer a charge move.
Played him casually in sf4?
@@miguelrobb5719 yeah there's a buncha things which makes sf6's bison pale in comparison to sf4, he doesn't even have his teleport smh. I didn't really play much of sf5 cause i'm an Xbox guy and that was an exclusive so I can't really say much. I believe his Devil's reverse was also pretty lackluster in 5 compared to 6. I however do like how they added back his standing hard kick where he stretches out his leg in this game as that was absent in 5, it's obviously much much slower in this game but it's a nice addition nonetheless.
Still can't believe M.Bison just training someone. 😅

@@odjendo It is said often but I do not mind. Darksiders is not nearly as well-known as Street Fighter, so if people saying this brings in new folks whoto hopefully look more into and enjoy Darksiders, i'm all for it.
I can understand that it gets annoying at a certain point, though.

@@cosmic5665 one of the Horsemen from the Apocalypse and a protagonist in Darksiders 1 and Darksiders Genesis.
Every mainline game (so far) has a different Horseman in the main role with their own adventure. There's three main games and Genesis is a prequel. As well as the only game where the final Horseman is playable, so far, alongside War. (has co-op mode).

@@yurizoku4943 Bison is Vega in Japan. M. Bison is a play on Mike Tyson, and for whatever reason Capcom played musical chairs with the bosses' names instead of just giving the boxer a new name.
@@mllarson There seem to be two reasons for such a change, IIRC.
1: Having your African American dirty boxer with other similar traits to Mike Tyson and having a similar sounding name could raise eyes and get them sued
2: I can't remember when it exactly was, but Mike Tyson was in hot water round this time as well, so a name change did help avoid some controversy.

Look at Capcom releasing Akuma and Bison back to back!! That's just crazy to do in a fighting game. Usually a company with plan these out and separate such heavy hitters to it's game. Capcom was like nahhh................Let's just go all out! I think they are just really looking to lead the competition right now.

important note: the reason why M.Bison is called ‘Vega’ is because that’s what he’s called in Japan. Vega (The claw guy) is called balrog in japan. The Balrog we know that trained Ed was called M.Bison in japan.
