So very well explained. I believe that most doctors do not know that K2 keeps calcium in bones and teeth and not in arteries. I think they are just OK with calcium being laid down in the arteries as plaque in order to "shore up" weakened arteries which, in turn, causes artery narrowing of blood flow. In short, doctors NEED to learn about vitamins/minerals role in disease processes - I wish you were my doctor.
@@Zqosh No interactions have been found between aspirin and Vitamin K. However, this does not necessarily mean that no interactions exist. Always consult your healthcare provider. If you're looking for a Vitamin K2 supplement, the brand Natural Factors makes a Vitamin K2 (menaquinone, MK-7) supplement that's derived from natto beans. It's a really good option you can discuss with your doctor to help with calcium regulation. I've found it on Amazon and iHerb for a decent price.
Thanks for the info. However, I must add that there are several plant sources that offer Vitamin K2 that negate the need for animal sources. The animals that are mentioned are grass or grain eaters and do not require animal sources to produce or absorb it. Same with us
Hi Dr Jin, I'm very glad I found you, I only wish you had your practice in Toronto and were taking new patients. Possibly you could give me your opinion, I'm a 68 year old male with no known health problems. I take 100mcg of K2-Mk7 and 100mcg of MK4, along with 3000 D3, and 2- 770mg magnesium orotate and 1 675mg Taurine per day. Because I had my gallbladder removed 10 years ago, I don't know if I should add dandelion or digestive enzymes to help with absorption. Thank you.- John
@@labibchy9293 thank you for the reply, I had heard that there should be a ratio of D3 to K2, and if the D3 was too high it would increase the calcium build up in the arteries. I am considering adding Nattokinase.
You're right. It ties into the fact that K2 prevents deposition of calcium into the arteries. It's keeps the arteries more pliable improving cardiac output. Best, Dr. Jin

vitamin k i understand prevent or increased wound healing making the blood more thicker, if the blood is thicker is not good for your heart and circulation of blood. @@deirdre8752 I don't eat the best but actually lately I've been feeling better. I mean we do shop at whole foods and spend money on good food, but I eat some junk too. But I started taking some vitamins and a few months after that I'm seeing some consistent improvements. Could be the d3 or the zinc or the magnesium. No clue but hope it lasts.
@Toe Rogan I've been better lately. Started taking vitamin d and zinc supplements recently which is the only real change I can think of that might have contributed to my gut health somehow...but I'm not sure. Major improvement after years of issues though

You should take at least 10000 IU vitamin d3. 3000 is low.

If the tribes eat natural meat, those animals are grass fed.

@@theboraxbandit9563 I'm no nutritionist, but he did say K2 comes from grass fed animals and eggs.
Do you need k2 supplements when taking Vit D if you eat plenty of foods that contain Vit k2?
If we are supplementing with vit K, is K2/mk7 enough or do we need a broad spectrum one with K1, K2(mk7+mk4)?
Hello. Can vitamin K cause strokes ?
I cannot gain weight. Under weight. Thyroid nodules. I eat plenty organic foods. Good supplements. Constipation too. Thank you Sir?

Want to know this too!!
I take the 2.000 IU D3 from Now foods + the K2 from Vitamaze since 3 years ago and i feel better every month if that helps

The conversion from vitamin K1 to K2 is relatively slow and inefficient. It isn't a 1:1 conversion.
Not everyone eats plant based such as junk food and carnivore diets
So I need to add K2 to avoid another heart attack? I already have a stent.

If you have had your gallbladder removed, how much K2 do you recommend?
